I went on Valentines Day to buy chocolates for friends and family. They were sold out of a lot, to be expected from a last minute shopper and the shop was pretty busy. I still managed to find some great last minute gifts thanks to the great service offered by the associates. Overall great experience albeit one that left my wallet far lighter in the exit. From a few bites my wife gave me from her gift and feedback from others I'd given gifts to, it was hit or miss. Not sure the names but there was a chocolate bar with caramel and nougat that was stellar (pun intended) while others like the Dubai chocolate bar was a swing and a miss. Overall I would say great quality chocolate with the filling combination a bit of a mixed bag. I would go back to better refine what works and what does not. read more

This little gem of a shop is adorable and sells delicious chocolates. Stargazer is my first choice for all holidays and gifts of chocolate. There is something for everyone's taste. They sell delicious coffee and wonderful hot chocolate. There are other special drinks to try as well. The service is always friendly and very helpful. My daughter had to go to the ups store and I was so glad bc I discovered this place! I got a dark chocolate mocha with a house made marshmallow and it was so good! You choose from 4 types of chocolate and it was great. They use Huck coffee which is excellent. I also stocked up on some stocking stuffers which I'm super excited abt. Very high quality chocolates. I can certainly appreciate a business like this. Despite their humble existence (kind of tucked in this building and its entrance isn't facing Colorado Blvd) the quality they produce and provide is top-notch. How come I didn't notice them until today is one of the mysteries I need to fathom for the rest of my life(!) but I now can brag about knowing it and tell others about it!! The store is pretty small but it somehow gives you a spacious feeling. Widely stretched counter where there are two different displays of chocolates is one thing. The coffee bar to the left still has an ample amount of space where it's not all cramped. Let's get to what I got me at the visit today. I wanted something simple to drink so I ordered a double shot of espresso. The guy was so kind enough to let me know that if you say "double", you'll get 4 shots of espresso at this store because if you order one espresso that'll be automatically double so he courteously clarified that with me. And I was glancing through the display of chocolates, he said to get a box of them (4-piece one) as he immediately got the impression that I was going get more than a few piece (each piece is $3 but if you are getting 3 or more then you might as well go ahead and get a box as you'll save money.) This small but impeccable attention to detail manifested by him impressed me. Please see the pictures of the 4 pieces of the chocolates I got today and I have to tell you, Mimosas, Death Star, Passion Rum, and Orange Habanero were just simply amazing to say the very least. Each one is so uniquely made and I just can't simply rank them from No1. to No. 4. I've been to many different chocolatiers in my entire life but this place might be my No. 1 as of now! IT'S THAT GOOD! When I was about to leave the shop after I had gotten everything I wanted, the barista lady kindly asked me if I wanted a bag for my chocolate box. Another warm attention to detail was extended to me. The quality of the chocolates and top notch customer service are a few reasons as to why I'm giving this place a perfect 5-star review. When planning gifts recently for family members, I saw that Stargazer was well rated on Yelp so I decided to check it out. (Also nice that they offer a Yelp check-in offer). They have a nice selection (not huge but enough) of truffles and chocolates with several pre-packaged gift boxes. The woman behind the counter was very pleasant and helpful. How have I lived down the street for over 3 years and never been here?! This place is so cute! Hidden inside a little plaza next to Snooze and Anthony's, Stargazer Fine Chocolates is a family owned business with so much charm and character. Little Easter decorations galore! I'm always nervous to check out some specialty chocolate shops because sometimes the prices can be steep, but here they were very fair. I got a chocolate covered marshmallow and a chocolate covered Oreo - $2 each. Very reasonable. Plus if you check in on Yelp, they give you a complimentary cup of coffee! Staff was also very friendly. I had the pleasure of meeting John and Noreen (owners of Stargazer) back in February. This is a family owned business. Not only the matriarch and patriarch work, but so do the daughter's and son's. I had come across an article about their European Fine Chocolate business. I decided to visit because I do love chocolate. My first visit was a bit disappointing because they were advertising gift baskets but there were none available. The employee was super helpful though and gave me their information. I also reached out to them by email to let them know I was going to stop in again for a tasting and to order a gift basket. My philosophy in leaving a review is this: everyone can have a bad day, I certainly have. I believe in second chances. A business is no different. I must visit at least 2 times before leaving a review. I prefer more visits though to get a good general idea of the business. When I reached out to the owner's, they welcomed me with open arms. They were very apologetic but Valentine's 'season' is hectic in their business. I get it! I was able to order a gift basket for my mom. I even purchased a few chocolate stars for my sister, niece and mom. I also took a girlfriend there to see what she thought. Everyone has different taste when it comes to sweets or even chocolate. Some people (like me) love chocolate, some (like my sister) do not. Some like sweets, some do not. Some people are even allergic to chocolate. What I love is that each piece is made my hand. They have mostly dark chocolate, but there are some milk chocolate and some white chocolate. My favorite has been London Fog and the Turtle chocolate (literally in the shape of a turtle with a piece of nut in it). I also enjoyed the Chai spice. I want to try the hazelnut but just my luck, every visit they were out. My niece's favorite is the orange habanero chocolate, though she also loves the cherry cordial. My sister doesn't have a favorite but she shared she preferred the Amaretto. They have options where you can order 1 piece of chocolate, 4 pieces in a box, 6 pieces in a star, 9 pieces in a box, 10 pieces in a star, etc... They also have chocolate covered pretzels and graham crackers. There are some drinks, but they seem limited if you are not a coffee drinker (which I am not). They are open early but close early too. Mon-Fri is 9am-6pm Sat is 9am-4pm and Sunday they are closed. They also offer special orders and you can even get your business logo on a chocolate bar. This is something I am trying to get the company I work for to do. I think it would be a big hit as an appreciation gift to our realtors and clients. Please inquire about the cost of their mold and cost of the bars (they offer all 3 types of chocolate and have 2 sizes of bars). I plan to share with family friends and others about this great business. Overall I am very impressed with them and their great chocolate product. During a recent trip to Denver, we decided that a few hot chocolates were in order after the temperature started to dip in the evening. Yelp came through with great reviews and order suggestions at this place, so we used the Yelp check in to get a Mayan hot chocolate (their bestseller), and a milk chocolate hot chocolate. Sadly, they were out of their house made marshmallows, because we'd have loved to try those out. Both hot chocolates were rich and delicious, and I loved the spiced Mayan version. We also picked up a quartet of chocolates to try out - orange habanero, sea salt caramel, chai spiced, and the turtle (shaped like a mini turtle, filled with pecans and caramel). We loved all four, and I'd recommend the orange habanero and the chai spiced chocolates for more adventurous palates. read more

We love good chocolate and it is pretty easy to be disappointed. After all, each person has a different preference or different palette for what they like. Not only did we happen to move into the area but we had a baby daughter born on Valentine's Day at Rose Hospital so it was a very easy quick trip for me to stop over and get a box of truffles. The thing is that I had the box picked out already but I messed up the times so they were closed when I called the night before. This worked out so well and as mom is still working through all the truffles, we have yet to find one we don't absolutely love. I went to Stargazer Fine Chocolates on it's opening day. The place is wonderful! The best part about this place: not only is there a chocolate bar, but a whole craft coffee shop inside it! The owners were there serving my wife and I. They were very kind folks and really made you feel welcome. I got a pour-over coffee from the shops full-time barista (who used to run Tolle Lege Coffeebar in the DTC). I've been so excited about Stargazer since I used to be a regular at Andrew's old shop. He made me a Panama brew from Common Wealth Roasters (they roast right here in Colorado). If you want good coffee in this area - look no further. Honestly. Further, the chocolates we got were modestly priced for home-made chocolates and VERY delicious. I got a scotch-flavored chocolate which was tasty as I'll get out. I recommend that if you are going for the candy. Bottom line: Get there. It's honestly one of the best coffee shops in Denver and you can get chocolate while your at it! read more

I'm obsessed with this place and am so glad I discovered it!! First, the staff is AMAZING! Azita is is such an incredibly kind person who made me feel so welcome and valued. The chocolates are truly art and are incredible!! They offer samples and are very knowledgeable about the chocolates. The orange habanero is one of the best chocolates I've ever had. The flavor combination is incredible! Normally I find dark chocolate to be too bitter but their is smooth and perfect. All of their chocolates are made in-house by their chocolatier, who is a member of the family. I love that it is a family business and everything they have is local. They use Common Ground coffee, which is great. I loved the latte I had. They have Little Man ice cream for root beer floats and ice cream sandwiches. They also have some delicious local wine and a HH deal where you can get two wine tastings and two chocolates of your choice for $10. They also have some tasty pastries made by a local bakery. There are comfy chairs to sit in and it is a quiet and peaceful place to work or hang out. I can't wait to return! read more

I had an issue with an order and I just let them know and he called me personally to fix it, told me to come back anytime for replacement and followed up with me twice. I heard another local chocolate shop opened near where I live so I had to stop by and check it out. Stargazer is located near Snooze and Trader Joe's on Colorado Blvd. I was surprised at how much seating space the place had. Not only is it a chocolate shop but it is also a full serving coffee shop. I was excited to see they carried many hot chocolate drinks, among them milk chocolate, ~60% dark, ~70% dark, and a spicy Mayan option. I opted for the~70% dark which was great. I bought the hazelnut and black hole truffles to take home with me. The truffles were delicious and I can't wait to try more of their chocolates in the future. read more
