Such a fantastic business. The free samples are such a fun way to pick your favorite chocolate, they have truffles and a chocolate cheesecake I'm dying to go back for held by the front counter. It seems they also host classes, I went online and they're reasonably priced! The staff was super kind and willing to answer any questions, can't recommend enough! the best chocolatier I've ever seen read more

Passing thru the marketplace and had a sample of something that was good so I bought a box of truffles to take home and share. I also purchased a bon bon for myself while there. I can't remember the flavor but I wasn't a fan. I should have known then that we wouldn't like the truffles. We split into thirds and none of liked any of this truffle variety pack. read more

Bibamba - I was so excited to try these. We split into thirds and not one of us liked any of them. - Chocolatiers & Shops Near Me - Edgewater, Colorado

There is something about this chocolatier that stands out from others. Is it the ambiance? Or is it the kinds of chocolate products they make? Not sure. When I found Bibamba while I was at Edgewater Food Hall to get me a plate of Ethiopian food, I stumbled up it by accident. The kind lady who was manning the register inside was above and beyond while I was sampling different types of chocolate barks along the window shelves. She explained to me that the store opened about three years ago. Really? I am pretty sure I had come here within that time frame at least once. I guess I had missed this place out of ignorance. Well, I, at least, discovered it. This is a Colorado store which imports cacao beans from Cameroon as the owner runs/owns a farm in the African country. Per the information board on the wall, the farm sustainably sources everything. I certainly appreciate businesses that focus on social responsibility. The chocolate bark samples I tried were all exquisite. After tasting, I walked around a bit to take some photos of the interior. Yes, this store is quite different than other typical chocolatiers for sure. You'll have visit it and see for yourself. The glass showcase upfront had truffles, cakes and parfaits all nicely displayed. The decadent looking cake or the parfait were tantalizing. Unfortunately, however, they were a little too big for me. Hence I decided to go with several pieces of the small chocolates as they all were of a good size. I got me two truffles and one chocolate piece. And they were.... -Black Forest Buzz Truffle -Cinnamon Roll Truffle -Dark Chocolate Salted Caramel Including tax and tip, all came to less than $14. Quite decent, I thought. I enjoyed all of them but my absolute shout-out goes to the Black Forest Buzz Truffle. It was so good where I wanted to go back to the shop immediately to get me another one. Yes, I agree. As the store name says it all, this is an artisan chocolate shop. The skills and techniques they use to create those outstanding chocolate pieces are high-quality, one-of-a-kind goods that are distinguished from others. You won't taste something like this in those mass-produced ones sold at the store we go to daily. Bibamba simply became my absolute favorite chocolatier that day. The only complaint? It's not very close from my southeast Denver house!!! read more

Omg I love the pate chocolate, a much cleaner better version of Nutella and the jungle crunch is amazing.

Here is why you should go here: - Small family owned and run business. - All Cacao comes from their 56-acre farm in Cameroon (Central Africa). - No slave labor used at all. - Only the finest ingredients used. - Everything they make and sell is organic and sustainable. Took a chocolate truffle making class and learned all about chocolate production and chocolate making. The owners are passionate about their chocolate, and it shows. First, we started with a presentation with photos of their farm in Cameroon and how they harvest, ferment, and dry their cacao beans, followed by roasting, winnowing (removing shells), and grinding into "cocoa liquor". Then bagging in 150-pound bags and shipping directly to their warehouse in Colorado. From here, their employees mix with sugar/milk and make the most organically rich and pure chocolate. It takes about a week in the melanger (mixer) for the cacao and sugar to blend into smooth, rich and creamy deliciousness. In the hands-on portion of the class, we took some of their 50% cacao and made dark chocolate truffles, rolled in a large variety of toppings--dried strawberries, pink sugar, pistachios, cookie crumble, peppermint. Of course, we all went home with lots of tasty samples to share of (eat alone.). Very interesting, tasty and fun. Their store is worth visiting as it is absolutely beautiful with numerous products on display. If you like chocolate or have a chocolate lover in your close circle --then you need to stop at Bibamba and get some chocolate love. Fun fact: Bibamba also provides their special chocolate confections to the very best restaurants in town. Finally, this class was brought to us by Slow Food Denver, a non-profit, committed to the enjoyment of local food, and who seeks to create a more just and sustainable food system. Slow Food Denver values cultivating community and connection, restoring biodiversity, celebrating food cultures, defending social and economic equality, and protecting the environment. read more

Got the dark chocolate peanut butter cups and while the peanut butter and chocolate themselves were both delicious, I was honestly pretty disappointed overall. I totally understand they're handmade in-store, which explains the price point, but for nearly $17 for 4 cups, I expected more balance. When I think of a peanut butter cup, I'm looking for more of a 30% chocolate / 70% peanut butter ratio -- these felt closer to 95% peanut butter and 5% chocolate. The flavor was good, but it didn't really deliver the chocolate-to-peanut butter experience I was hoping for at that price. Not really thrilled with feeling like I spent nearly $20 on peanut butter. read more

The chocolate is delicious! We did the truffle making class and had a wonderful experience. The class was a great mix of learning about the chocolate and the farm and lotssss of tasting. We left with boxes of delicious truffles. I'll definitely be coming back! read more

I went to buy some candy and the employee stuck his ungloved hand down into the small brown bag to open it. Disgusting. I don't know the last time he washed his hands or touched his cellphone. Why even use tongs to take out the chocolate from the case at that point? just reach in there and grab it with your grubby hands cause to me, it's basically the same thing. I don't want to eat anything from a bag an ungloved hand was rolling around in. Are chocolate shops above food safety practices? Definitely won't be back. read more

This review is for the chocolate making class. My friend invited me and I couldn't resist. We had fun learning about chocolate and making our own truffles. We enjoyed plenty of samples and made a fun collection from our choice of dark, milk, and white chocolates and a widen assortment of toppings. I'll definitely take the class again with friends and family who come to visit because it's a great way to spend time together while living your chocolate lover's dream. read more

I took a chocolate-making class here at Bibamba (which is inside Edgewater Public Market) and I absolutely loved it. For context, they expanded from one unit of space within the market to two, and the expansion seems very cool because one side is like a behind-the-scenes kitchen and the other is the staging area of amazing chocolate goodies. Anyway, the class begins by them walking you through a short presentation about where their cacao is sourced and how they approach ethical production, which was nice because you got to learn some chocolate facts while snacking on some chocolate and learning what raw chocolate tastes like. After that, we started the hands-on portion, where we scooped freshly-made ganache using small scoops, and hand-rolled our own truffles while wearing gloves. There was a whole spread of different coatings and toppings, probably around a dozen options, so you could experiment with flavor combinations instead of just making one standard version. And there was definitely extra ganache, and snacking on the extra chocolate was encouraged! :) At the end you package your truffles in a branded box that made your creations look very professional. It was a great class, and then we walked over to the staging side and I bought a 12-pack of their bonbons that my D&D friends LOVED the next day, which was a complement because we bring lots of candy and it's hard to rise to the tip of what we've tried over time. I would highly suggest coming here for one of their classes or to get lovely gifts for loved ones. read more

Friendly service and absolutely delicious chocolates! I can't wait to go back for holiday gifts.

Bibamba just recently opened up their shop at Edgewater Public Market, and huzzah, I've now found my go-to chocolate provider! Not all chocolate labeled as "fair-trade" is actually fair-trade. Sometimes it's impossible to really know if the chocolate you're eating is ethically sourced, but you don't have to worry about that with Bibamba. The founders source their cacao beans directly from their farm in Cameroon, and one of the founders is a Cameroon native. Their workers are paid and treated fairly, and they never use child labor. Both founders were at the shop when I stopped by, and they were both friendly and provided exceptional service. Aside from the fact that this is ethical chocolate though, it's just delicious artisan chocolate. I don't normally love dark chocolate, but I just want to keep nibbling on their Orange Spark dark chocolate. It's nutty, rich, sweet but not too sweet, with just the perfect amount of citrus flavor and a very subtle kick of peppercorn. The flavors meld together beautifully. They were offering samples of their various assortments when I was recently inside. They also were selling the best hot chocolate I've had in ages, made with real chocolate and none of that powder sh$t! The peppermint marshmallow absolutely slayed. I also love that they make the chocolate in-house - you can see vats from the counter in the back. Cozy shop, delicious chocolate, and warm cocoa. Stopping by here was perfect for a winter day. read more

My family and I were in the Edgewater Public Market location today respectfully and quietly browsing and were indirectly asked to leave by an employee. Unfortunately we left and were not offered any samples so we were unable to purchase anything. Very disappointed in the lack of tact and equal amount of respect from said employee. Will not be back. read more

Just stopped by to buy something quick cause the store had a clean & exquisite look inside with the cocoa production visible to the eye. The worker explained their pure & single sourced process of making the chocolate too . The chocolate looked very high quality just from reading the ingredients & seeing there was no lecithins used too. Bought the milk chocolate truffle and it melted in my mouth like a brownie on steroids. The milk wasn't too overpowering either, giving more attention to the rich cocoa taste. read more

Amazing chocolates and such an interesting business! I highly recommend you give them a try!
