If you know me, you know that I love a good milkshake. I am a huge fan of 5280 Burgers, and love that they have an ice cream shop attached too! This time I just got a milkshake, but I've been here before and tried some of there adult-ified milkshakes int he past too....in all cases, a really good milkshake! It was a little much for me, but maybe just because I'm old or something. The toppings were elaborate and it was messy to eat, but pretty good flavor. Would be a fun place to take kids just because the novelty look of the elaborate cones. read more

This place is attached to the 5280 Burger Bar so after eating, we stopped by and got a treat. My friend ordered an ice cream in a cup with pistachios on top and I got an Oreo milkshake. The total came to less than $10!! Definitely affordable and delish! read more

After eating dinner at 5280 Burger, I had to try out the ice cream! I did learn after ordering that you can order ice cream to your table in the restaurant. I am surprised this is not listed as one of the first things on the dining menu. I like that there were unique flavors to choose from such as campfire marshmallow and blackberry. I am not into boozed ice cream but there are many options for this type of treat on the menu! I ordered mint chocolate chip (my favorite) and strawberry ice cream for a create your own sundae. Both flavors were good. They were not mind blowing. The server working there did allow free samples. I always appreciate that. I did not like how the people waiting to eat in the restaurant were sitting and standing in the ice cream parlor. There was no where for me to sit or stand in the parlor to eat my sundae. That was a huge turn off for me. I would not go out of my way to eat ice cream here. I preferred my experience and food at the 5280 restaurant over the 5280 ice cream parlor. read more

Ordered: Double Scoop (~$5) in Homemade Waffle Cone (+$1.50): with Caramelized Banana and Oreo flavors. Aya's take: I thought I was full from having dinner next door at 5280 Burger Bar but then I saw 5280 Ice Cream on my way out and unlocked my second stomach after seeing they had 2 of my favorite flavors. One thing about me is if there's banana, I'm getting it. Paired with Oreo, I absolutely need it. The banana flavor tasted like true banana fruit and the Oreo, although being chocolate-based, had plenty of Oreo chunks in there and the chocolate wasn't too rich. Considering I had just eaten, I should've done without the waffle cone, which in my opinion, was just average. I'd probably recommend just getting a cup and saving those extra calories. If you're grabbing burgers next door, it's only right to finish off strong with some ice cream and shakes (which you can also get at the burger bar to go with your meal). read more

I was walking around the shopping area near the 16th street mall and there were a ton of people walking around with this ice cream. It was super warm outside so I had to find the store and get me a few scopes. It is connected to the restaurant that is ran by the same company. The inside is very, very tiny. I think there may have been enough seating inside for only a handful of people with some additional chairs with umbrellas outside the store. There was about 6 people ahead of me in line, but it didn't take me long to get my ice cream and be on my way. Minus one start because I would have like to have a few more toppings to choose from. The menu was also kind of difficult to read. read more

The aroma of this ice cream shop is ecstatic while walking into the restaurant. Service: the staff is very friendly and patient since there was a group of 12 people with me, all very eager to try the amazing flavors. Food: the ice cream here is creamy and delicious it is hand made as well. The Oreo and pumpkin flavor were my favorite but I ended up getting Oreo because it's my absolute favorite. The Oreo flavor has cookies inside which makes it crunchy and creamy. The single scoop of ice-cream is huge and can easily be shared between 2 people. Overall I loved this ice cream shop and if I'm ever in Denver I will definitely return. read more

Healthy amount of flavor choices. Fresh unique flavors but not too fancy. We had chocolate and caramel sea salt, and coffee, which has real coffee grinds in it. We did not go all out on the sundaes, which looked fantastic. read more

Small ice cream shop serving delicious ice cream. The oreo, coffee, and Mexican vanilla were delicious (those were the ones our group tried and liked them enough to get them in shakes!). 5280 bar/restaurant is connected to the ice cream shop so you're allowed to add alcohol to shakes for an boozey-shake. Great service, and simple patio chairs inside and outside. read more

Perfectly tasty ice cream - would be happy to eat here again but nothing particularly distinguishing. I tried the chocolate and coffee flavors, both were pretty mild. Definitely worth the free scoop from the Yelp checkin. read more

Got to try 5280 ice cream for dessert after getting a burger from their neighbor 5280 burger bar. The ice cream was good but nothing special, I still need to find an ice cream that can beat sweet cow. I went with their special flavors of the day, peanut butter M&M and the chocolate chip brownie. The M&M was the better choice of the two. The chocolate was a bit dark and didn't deliver the sweet rush I was hoping for. Many many delicious flavors to choose from! Great little cream shop if you are in downtown! We needed something to cool down the tastebuds after overdoing the spice at Liang's Thai! You should check out Liang's Thai if you haven't. It's a must! Back to the ice cream.. 5280 has so many yummy specialty flavors. We got a large generous serving for a small that Nikolai and I shared. So before my visit to Denver I looked up ice cream shops on Yelp. Signs pointed to Little Man. But upon walking around 16th Street Mall area, I came across this place and recognized the name from my search, though not in the top ten. But how? This place was super reasonable, little over $10 bucks for my wife and I (and I had a double scoop even) with waffle cones! There were virtually no lines, however, when we sat down at the tables to eat, it fluctuated sometimes there will be a very small line to no line at all. And the ice cream was great. Now it may not have as many original flavors, but it did the trick and I didn't have to drive out of my way to go there, it's already in a place where there are many things to do. But of the 3 times (yes, 3) I visited in my 3 day trip, I had the Oreo ice cream and it was my favorite. I sampled Coffee and Coffee Oreo, both not as good. Oh and if you see Churro ice cream, that was a real winner too, but it must have been a rotational as it was only there one time I was there. read more

I ate at the 5280 Burger Bar and was too full for the free ice cream that came with my Yelp check-in so returned the next day to indulge. The staff gladly accepted the Yelp coupon (I also produced the receipt from the previous day) and gave me the biggest single scoop I've ever had! I usually restrict myself to homemade ice cream, but this took the scoop! The coconut 5280 flavor was amazingly smooth and creamy. Maybe it had 5280 calories in it? read more

The staff here is amazing. I had a great experience and the ice cream was darn good too. You can order sundaes, ice cream smoothies, or just get your regular ice cream. It's connected to a burger restaurant (forgot the name). I was overwhelmed because you can get sundae's, build your own smoothies, and get your ice cream by itself. I got a double scoop and I think I got a mint flavor and one other, but it was the vanilla that I REALLY enjoyed. The worker was super nice, a young girl who was extremely patient. I always like to try my flavor because when I buy ice cream I want to KNOW that I'm buying something I'll like. It wasn't too expensive for something connected to a restaurant. I would recommend, if you want a sundae or milkshake, but I only reallllly liked the vanilla and the other flavors I thought were just okay. Great stop on a hot day! Anyhow, it's a great ice cream place to stop by and it's not to far from the convention center if you're here for a conference. read more

This is THE ice cream shop to go to downtown! Its right next to Sephora and 5280 burger bar. They always have a rotating menu of HOUSEMADE ice creams that have so many delicious flavors. Believe me when I say this ice cream is BURSTING with flavors. My personal favorite is the campfire marshmallow. It tastes exactly as if you pulled the marshmallow straight from your campfire. Only difference is that this is cold! Another good flavor is the oreo- tastes just like the campfire marshmallow with oreo pieces! They also make boozy cocktails with the ice cream! Delicious! I also love that they offer a mini size- its the perfect size if you are craving ice cream but don't want to go overboard. read more

My hubby and I stopped at 5280 Ice Cream last night as we were craving something sweet! This place does not disappoint, we loved it so much we are going back tonight. We will probably eat at their burger place next door then enjoy some more ice cream. I got the Nutella and Strawberry I've Cream in a cup, very good! My hubby got one of their sundaes with salted caramel (the Black and Tan Sundaw) and that was soooo good. I think tonight we're going for their s'mores sundae! read more

Four stars because they deliver pretty good value, large portions and reasonable prices. I ordered three scoops for like $5, I love eating ice cream but couldn't finish all of it. The ice cream itself was fine, not bad but not the best I've ever had. I had the salted caramel, campfire marshmallow, and caramelized banana. Of the three, I think the caramelized banana was my favorite because it's a pretty unique flavor, but they were all decent. I only came here because it was open until 11pm when many surrounding ice cream/gelato places closed at 9 or 10. I would go back again if it was after 10pm. read more

YUM! Denver is full of delicious Ice Cream and 5280 is definitely one of the best spots! It's a tiny shop filled with some really tasty ice cream. The flavors range from classic to out of the box. The salty caramel was so good! It was incredibly smooth and the flavor was the perfect mix of salty and sweet! This is a must. They also had a really good Samoa's flavor. Yes, you read that right. Samoa. Like the Girl Scout cookie. I also enjoyed the banana flavor. The ice cream is very affordable. I got a mini scoop and it was only $2 but it was definitely enough to satisfy my cravings. This is a great ice cream shop. It's small and slightly hidden in the pavilion next to the restaurant but the ice cream is so so good. It's worth the trip! read more

Yum! My boyfriend and I visited this cute little ice cream shop late on a Friday night. The shop itself is right next to a restaurant named 5280 burgers, and I believe the menu is handwritten - such a cute fun look! There were maybe three other people waiting in line, but the line moved pretty quickly. We got a couple of samples before I settled on Almond Joy and my boyfriend chose Marshmallow. We both ordered the smallest sizes (kids - $1.95). I was really happy with my Almond Joy - the coconut taste was strong but not artificial tasting, which was great! However, my boyfriend's was a little tasteless. I was under the impression that they added real marshmallows, but I guess with such a small size, they chose not to? Overall, I really liked my ice cream, but I wish this shop impressed my boyfriend more! read more

This sh** is bananas! b-A-N-A-N-A-S! I came in and knew immediately that I wanted a cup of the caramelized banana. No sampling required. I don't often see banana flavored ice cream so I jumped at the opportunity to try it. It was hands down one of the best ice creams I've ever had! It was delicious with small chunks of real banana. The caramel wasn't too strong. On top of that, my friend got a free ice cream because the register wasn't working at the time she was ready to purchase. Thanks 5280 for the complimentary cup! My mini was around $2 and was a good quantity of ice cream. Other flavors they had included vanilla, Nutella, cookie dough, mint chocolate chip, and toasted coconut. Honesty the best ice cream I have ever had! I tried the tagalong flavor in a brownie sundae. Tagalongs are my favorite Girl Scout cookie flavor. The only thing I wish about the ice cream was that it had more peanut butter. None the less it was delish. My mom got the churro flavor it was not my favorite but she liked it. Over all you should check this place out. read more

I have really been enjoying the ice cream at 5280. It is all made in house and has a nice creamy texture. It's in a convenient area of the Denver Pavilions. They stay open a lot later than some of the other ice cream shops around town. My favorite is their cookie dough ice cream. They must make their own cookie dough and add chunks into the ice cream, none of those pre made chunks in this one (thank god). Get a scoop of the cookie dough and 5280's most popular flavor, Oreo, for a fabulous combination. read more

An extension to a burger bar of the same name, 5280 scoops out a whitewashed, under-sweet experience that just works. You'll find 6-8 standards and another half dozen specialty flavors sitting in the chill. Sizes range from mini (for the kids) to a triple scoop and shakes, and anything that's booze-free is less than seven bucks. You can split flavors with a single, so Caramelized Banana met Cinnamon Toast Crunch and they partied in the lobby of Hotel My Mouth. The whole shebang was more than enough ice cream, and rang in just over four bucks. The product has a bit more elasticity and won't uproot your sweet tooth -- I actually found both to be a bit savory (a pleasantly bitter, starchy banana and more cinnamon than sugar), making this Ice Cream for Adults. And while it's natural for the chunks of cereal to soften, perhaps the staff could sprinkle fresh stuff on the scoop when it's served? The Crunch was MIA. Slow melting, subtle in scrumptiousness, and they serve liquored-up shaketinis. Yes, shaketinis. Check 'em out. read more

This is an ice cream parlor next to 5280 burger. $1.95 for mini, $2.95 for single, $3.95 for double scoop, and $4.95 for triple. They have a constant main stay of flavors (10!) and also 6 rotating. All ice creams are churned in house. I recommend the Caramelized banana! If you're feeling more liquidy then get a milkshake for $6. If you're feeling even more adventurous, an adult milkshake served in a martini glass might be in your future ($10)! read more
