After eating dinner at 5280 Burger, I had to try out the ice cream! I did learn after ordering that you can order ice cream to your table in the restaurant. I am surprised this is not listed as one of the first things on the dining menu. I like that there were unique flavors to choose from such as campfire marshmallow and blackberry. I am not into boozed ice cream but there are many options for this type of treat on the menu! I ordered mint chocolate chip (my favorite) and strawberry ice cream for a create your own sundae. Both flavors were good. They were not mind blowing. The server working there did allow free samples. I always appreciate that. I did not like how the people waiting to eat in the restaurant were sitting and standing in the ice cream parlor. There was no where for me to sit or stand in the parlor to eat my sundae. The banana flavor tasted like true banana fruit and the Oreo, although being chocolate-based, had plenty of Oreo chunks in there and the chocolate wasn't too rich. Considering I had just eaten, I should've done without the waffle cone, which in my opinion, was just average. I'd probably recommend just getting a cup and saving those extra calories. I was walking around the shopping area near the 16th street mall and there were a ton of people walking around with this ice cream. It was super warm outside so I had to find the store and get me a few scopes. It is connected to the restaurant that is ran by the same company. The inside is very, very tiny. I think there may have been enough seating inside for only a handful of people with some additional chairs with umbrellas outside the store. There was about 6 people ahead of me in line, but it didn't take me long to get my ice cream and be on my way. Minus one start because I would have like to have a few more toppings to choose from. Service: the staff is very friendly and patient since there was a group of 12 people with me, all very eager to try the amazing flavors. The ice cream was good but nothing special, I still need to find an ice cream that can beat sweet cow. I went with their special flavors of the day, peanut butter M&M and the chocolate chip brownie. The M&M was the better choice of the two. The chocolate was a bit dark and didn't deliver the sweet rush I was hoping for. There were virtually no lines, however, when we sat down at the tables to eat, it fluctuated sometimes there will be a very small line to no line at all. And the ice cream was great. Now it may not have as many original flavors, but it did the trick and I didn't have to drive out of my way to go there, it's already in a place where there are many things to do. But of the 3 times (yes, 3) I visited in my 3 day trip, I had the Oreo ice cream and it was my favorite. I sampled Coffee and Coffee Oreo, both not as good. The staff here is amazing. I had a great experience and the ice cream was darn good too. You can order sundaes, ice cream smoothies, or just get your regular ice cream. It's connected to a burger restaurant (forgot the name). I was overwhelmed because you can get sundae's, build your own smoothies, and get your ice cream by itself. I got a double scoop and I think I got a mint flavor and one other, but it was the vanilla that I REALLY enjoyed. The worker was super nice, a young girl who was extremely patient. I always like to try my flavor because when I buy ice cream I want to KNOW that I'm buying something I'll like. It wasn't too expensive for something connected to a restaurant. This is THE ice cream shop to go to downtown! Its right next to Sephora and 5280 burger bar. They always have a rotating menu of HOUSEMADE ice creams that have so many delicious flavors. Believe me when I say this ice cream is BURSTING with flavors. My personal favorite is the campfire marshmallow. It tastes exactly as if you pulled the marshmallow straight from your campfire. They stay open a lot later than some of the other ice cream shops around town. My favorite is their cookie dough ice cream.
