After having the AC off for three days at their request, they don't show up and don't answer the phone. Do not recommend.

This is the third time we have used Austin Air and I can't say enough good about our experiences…read morewith them, not only in their diagnoses of the problems, but their quality of work, and their reasonable costs. The first time we used them over a year ago it appeared to be a fairly easy fix and Nick, the owner, was the one that actually came out. He cleared a line that kept the ac from turning on and filled the unit with several pounds of refrigerant, but only charged us for a small portion of it. This year our ac was working Intermittently and for some reason I ended up calling three different ac repair companies and everyone had different diagnoses of what was wrong, and their estimates ranged from $4,000 to $10,000. One even suggested we replace the whole system with a new different manufacture. The issues we were told could be the fan, compressor, or coil or line leaks. Because the unit is a Lennox we had been advised to use an authorized Lennox dealer and I unfortunately I did not contact Austin. The company that was a top rated Lennox dealer, who we considered for the repair, flatly told me they could not get Lennox parts. All pushed a yearly service package. I luckily found Nick's sticker on the ac unit and called him and he personally came out the next day. Nick advised me the fan was bad and that it would be covered under the Lennox ten year warranty, and I'd have to pay $725 for it until the refund. He suggested just replacing the fan and waiting until next season to see if anything else was an issue. Nick picked up the fan within two days and basically filled out the warranty refund form for me to get a refund. Nick and a helper came out a few days later and install the fan and the ac has been working great since. Today we had Austin Air run an extra duct to our kitchen, which gets cold in winter and hot in summer. Three workers came out and completed the Job within a few hours. Nick's estimate was very reasonable and the job was well done, with the workmen being courteous, careful to cover everything with plastic traps, and cleaned up well before leaving. I hope we do not have any ac issues next summer, but if we do, we will definitely use Austin Air Heating & Air Conditioning. Nick had given me an estimate for replacing the coil and it was very reasonable and well below what I had been quoted by the other companies. I wouldn't use Austin Air just because I think their quotes are reasonable, but because I think they are an honest business. I highly recommend them for honest and good work. Thank you Nick and Austin Air Heating & Air Conditioning.

We bid our project out to two companies for installation of an HVAC system. We went with Air…read moreSystems Solutions and so glad we did. The owner, Brian, provided great communication and follow up before, during and after the installation. An old gas heater was removed from our attic and a new very quiet and efficient Mitsubishi electric HVAC was installed outside. The two installers were friendly, knowledgable and professional and got the job done in two days. We now have a great system that meets all of our expectations. I would highly recommend this company.

After reporting a furnace issue (ignitor continually activating after burner was ignited and blower…read morerunning) to my home warranty company, they sent a contractor technician. He diagnosed that the blower needed to be replaced. (I am a certified aero engineer, so am familiar with ignition and burner systems) When questioned about the continuously activating ignitor, he indicated that the continuously running ignitor was "normal." When I sowed him online that the continuously activating ignitor was not normal and could be dangerous, he didn't 52 minutes researching Google on his cell phone and did not change his diagnosis or estimate fir cleaning the fan and replacing the blower that was working fir an additional $240 over the warranty's initial service fee. I called highly recommended Air Systems Solutions in Ventura, CA who arranged for a technician visit the next day. He was very courteous and did a very thorough job and replaced the ignition panel. Aside from the part itself, the service fee was less than half of the original contractor's estimate. Highly recommend work from Air Systems Solutions in Ventura CA.
