I made an appointment for a technician. They said the day and between 8 and 12. I waited and finally called to check status. " The lady didn't book you." They apologized and I told them I was 78 years old and the air conditioner was urgent again. Then they said tomorrow afternoon. The technician showed up in the morning. Charging $109.00 said some boards were fried. It was agreed to get pricing. Haven't heard from them in almost 3 weeks. Elderly abuse. At least get back to me. read more

So, we had a tech out. He told us our AC unit needed replacing, but then he had to have another employee come give us a quote for the replacement unit. I had to wait around for the second guy to come. He then quoted me 18k-22k to replace the unit & I had to pay $126 for the assessment. So- I called another company who came & fixed my AC quickly for $136. What a scam this company was running! read more

David was amazing!! he was honest with me about our system, I have not serviced our HVAC unit in 10 years and I just wanted a tune up and any cleaning it needed. He was surprised how clean our system was and that it was still running in tip top shape. I asked him if it needed any cleaning and he said it was still clean and did not need to be cleaned. He did not try to upsell me on any additional services. He did replace the capacitor at no additional costs to keep the unit running at full capacity. They charged me $130 to do a HVAC tune up and I'm glad I chose Anacapa. He also cleaned the outside fan unit to keep the coils clean. Before Anacapa came out, I had an Air Duct company come out a couple days before to look at my ducts to see if they needed cleaning. But they did not see anything bad that needed cleaning, so I wanted to wait for Anacapa to service my HVAC unit and get their opinion my air ducts at the same time. David looked at the ducts and said they do not need cleaning and a huge part of that is because I change my HVAC air filter every few months to keep dirt and dust out of the system. The way I decided on Anacapa was using google Gemini AI to help me decide on a company I was looking for. Happy with my decision. 5 stars!! read more

Anacapa Heating were very helpful fitting me in to a tight window and the techs were well versed in their field. The bill was higher than I expected, although I didn't get an estimate/quote so my mistake. Anacapa did work with me after the fact, listened to my concerns and we came to a solution. First time using Anacapa Heating and since they worked with me then I will use them again. Should have asked for an estimate so that is on me. Seems to be a well run and responsible company. read more

I called Anacapa to look at my AC system which was not working. They responded quickly. They were efficient on a difficult job which they completed in one day. Very clean, very professional, and good communication. read more

Unfortunately I am not a satisfied customer anymore. I rarely if ever leave poor reviews but this needs to be said. I used Anacapa to service my AC unit for a few years until 2023. I trusted them and for the most part they were reliable. The problem came this past summer when my AC unit wasn't working properly. They came out (charged a $100 dispatch fee) checked it and said it was probably coolant leak and offered to fix it with a liquid sealant. The repair cost was $1100 ..ugh not what I expected to pay but it was hot and we did it. The AC worked for a few days, maybe a week and then the AC was down again! I called and explained to them that the AC broke again and asked if their work had a warranty and they said NO not for this. I told them we are down $1200 at this point and what can they do for me. They offered to come out again for another $100 dispatch fee now we're looking at $1300... Anacapa comes back to my house and tells me that they can conduct a test that could detect the exact location of the leak and this test was about $300. So this would put my costs to about $1600!!! Now I am upset why wasn't the test offered to me in the first place!? Instead I've wasted $1200 on a sealant that did nothing and now they wanted $300 more! I asked why wasn't the test offered to us in the first place and the tech explained it was their "protocol" to do it this way. WOW!!! Talk about shady!! Now I can't trust nor recommend this company. They could have offered to test my unit for the leak before having me waste $1200 and then ask for $300 more!! I could have put that money towards a new unit or another honest company. They could have had a life long customer and business with me but when they pull stuff like this I can't recommend them. read more

The turnover at this company with employees, and never the same service person comes back, and Service people DON"T know what they are doing, came to my house and COMPLETLY LIED ABOUT THE PROBLEMS !!!!! The next guy came and fixed it with 150.00, they said buy a new unit and completely don't know what they say, except they LIE about your issues read more

Kevin came to my home today, at the recommendation of a friend. I had had another HVAC company come to my home, evaluate my HVAC system, and scare me into believing that I needed a complete replacement, of the entire system. Their estimate was for over $25,000 dollars. I had just purchased my home, and had had an inspector check my HVAC system, which he deemed to be in good working order. So, I was shocked, when the other company informed me that my HVAC system was defective and unsafe. After Kevin checked out my entire HVAC system, his recommendation was for a regular maintenance service. He assured me that my HVAC system was in good working order, and that it should be working well, for the next 5-10 years. His estimate for a regular maintenance service, with Anacapa, along with the replacement of my outdated thermostat, was $400.00. I will be a customer for life, of Anacapa Heating and Air. Kevin restored my faith in the heating and air conditioning service industry! I highly recommend Kevin, and his company! Thank you for your professionalism, kindness, knowledge and INTEGRITY! read more

We were able to book a duct cleaning service within a week. The crew showed up right on time are were prepared to perform the service. They were very nice people, clean and very thorugh. Would diffenitly have them again. read more

For cleaning air ducts out. They were significantly cheaper than two competitors I called. My main issue is how well the job was done. Since we didn't have to leave while they worked, I saw them in action. Apparently I waited a long time since the last time someone came out, but our dryer worked much more efficiently after their visit. I recommend them highly read more

We would highly recommend this company. They showed up on time, were very professional, and explained every aspect of our new system. They wore masks at all times, wore booties when entering the house, and left the work areas very tidy. read more

Quick to get out when ac was malfunctioning this summer. Person who answers phones was excellent. Good people!!!

Super nice people. Showed up on time , inspected my heater , quickly found a burned out transformer and replaced it. Service was excellent and pricing very reasonable. Nice to find honest reliable people. read more

This business is great. Not the least expensive, but not the most expensive. They provided the best overall value when I researched and met with 3 companies for an estimate in two new AC units to be installed in my duplex. One was a mini-split system and the other was full HVAC. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Sarah & Ric. They were responsive, trust worthy and answered my questions promptly. The install team was also great and seamless to work with. They kept the work site clean and showed up on time. I would definitely recommend working with Anacapa Heating & Air and tell all my friends and family. Thank you for being a quality business! Sometimes these days that can be hard to find. read more

Contacted this company on 9/18/21 through Yelp's contact feature. It took them over a week to respond. When they finally did, they said they can't give me a quote over Yelp, even though I didn't ask for a quote. Clearly they didn't bother reading the message carefully. Then they said they'd be happy to set up an estimate. I told them that I had another company come out and do the job because they took too long to respond...they missed out. read more

I just had to leave Anacapa Heating a review. Brian & Roy installed a new heater on Friday. Because our house is very old, it was having some problems drawing cool air in. Brian, Roy & Troy them came back out on Saturday morning to troubleshoot it. They put in another vent & while it was ok it still wasn't right.. They came out this morning & spent most of the day fixing it. It now works awesome. Brian & Roy are awesome workers & I have to commend them on their work.. Very polite & nice. Cleaned up afterwards also.. I highly recommend them!!! read more

Our air conditioning was due for service. The technician showed up not prepared with the proper filters to do a proper service. He went through the motions to do his job. Replaced one filter improperly. When I asked him to return to fix it because of a loud rattle ( like a lawn mower) he stated he had installed the filter properly and said when he returned he would replace the second filter at a later date. I asked him again to stop by and fix his mistake and he in capital letter states I DID IT CORRECTLY! No time for rude and poorly prepared people! Save yourself time and a headache and choose another COMPANY! read more

Our air conditioning stopped working and we called Anacapa for a second opinion after the first place we called wanted to replace our entire unit from the second he rang the doorbell. Brandon came out, checked everything and did everything he could to present Us with options. We are still in the process but definitely can tell they are a more hornet company to work with then some of their competitors. read more

Thanks to Tony and Cheno (installers) and Sara (office) for the great service on the replacement of an old furnace. From the on site quote to the office staff to delivery and install, Anacapa offered top notch service. I will gladly recommend the company! read more

Great service, honest, and good pricing compared to other HVAC companies. I received several quotes for new thermostat installation and common wire and all were severely overpriced for the minimal work it would be. Anacapa honored their price and was in and out in less than an hour. They will be my go to service company for our home. read more

Spoke to a guy name Kevin, was responsive upon asking for a availability. After confirming the appointment twice i figured it was all set for that date and time. I was only available for certain days of that specific week because of the drive i had to make up to Carp. from LA. When the day finally came around for the set appointment i waited all day. After waiting, and missing the schedule window time i reached out with NO response at all. Until this day a week later there is still no explanation whatsoever. Very disappointed with this business, please go work on your communication and customer service skills. read more

Anthony was awesome from the get go, wore a mask and little shoe booties, which shows consideration and was much appreciated. He was extremely thorough and explained all the steps he was taking to try to diagnose the problem with our AC Unit. He answered all our questions and concerns. The problem part was replaced and luckily was still under warranty, so we were only charged for labor. This was such a good experience and I have full confidence in Anacapa Heating and Air, they are honest and provide peace of mind, which is important when your AC goes out and you don't know what to expect. I will be using them in the future for normal maintenance and service calls and would highly recommend giving them a shot at earning your business, highly impressed. A+ read more

Our unit stopped working and called Anacapa. They sent out Tony and he was fantastic, he kept us informed as to what he was going to do and what he found as the problem. Unfortunately it was late Friday and unable to get parts. He was out Monday morning and repaired the unit and even showed the bad part and explained everything. He went well above what others have in his explanations and he made sure that we understood and not just saying things. When you call, Maria was fantastic, she understood us and kept us informed, even called and asked if the tech could come earlier then scheduled. Too bad can only give 5 starts! read more

Kevin Kingsbury has trained his technicians well. Tristan was outstanding in both professionalism and communication skills. My heater is up and running thank goodness it has been freezing literally in Ojai. Both my husband and I look forward to discussing the replacement of our system once the weather improves. Tristan gave us some valuable input as to how that would work. I highly recommend Anacapa Heating & Air. As a matter a fact I referred my teammate to them yesterday and they were out working on her system this morning. read more

I am so glad I found this company to replace my 25 year old furnace. They were absolute professional in everyway. My apologies! Anacapa absolutely came through on their commitment. I regret my post.

I do not know how people are rated this company high on stars! They had been fixed my A/C for more than 2 weeks. Two technicians reported that nothing wrong with the unit but the room temperature never go down below 83F since they left. Their problem was never stay long enough to see if the problem was fixed. We paid a yearly maintenance to service the unit every 4 month, but the last one was 1 month behind and I had to remind them. I think that is why my A/C is not working properly. Time to look for a better A/C service company. read more
