Paid the service technician at the time of a repair. When I requested an invoice, it shows that I was overcharged over one hundred dollars. My emails to their accounting department went unanswered, they claim they didn't receive them (BS), so I called. I received an email from a manager(?), to which I responded with the information - again. Again, no response from this company going on over two months now. Contacted West Coast Air Conditioning, and honestly I don't even remember how I found them, but I'm glad I did. I reached out after receiving a pretty preposterous estimate from another provider, and West Coast came in over $5,000 lower with nearly identical equipment specs. Letti arrived promptly to walk the property, answer my questions, and provide a rough estimate before emailing the finalized quote later that night. I appreciated that she explained everything clearly without overselling or burying me in unnecessary paperwork. Since this was a completely new A/C install with no prior system in the house, I had a lot of questions regarding the system itself, part numbers, maintenance requirements, and long-term considerations. She answered everything clearly and concisely. The install team showed up within a week, and honestly I probably could have scheduled even earlier. When I say "team," that's almost an understatement. Gary, Eli, Clark, Tristan, and Ervin showed up ready to work and got right to it after answering a few final questions. I work from home, and anytime I checked in to see how things were going, they immediately asked if I had any concerns or anything else I wanted to go over. Every member of the crew was respectful, professional, and genuinely easy to talk to. Even when I asked about unrelated things they noticed in the attic, they took the time to explain what they were seeing and what I should keep an eye on. Very helpful staff. We had a small safety switch on our furnace door that had to be replaced. I was able to speak with staff about the part, confirmed we had the correct part for the job before scheduling svc. Other companies only had dispatch to speak with which would have meant 2 trips for svc. One to diagnose and come back with part on another day or go out for part and return. This was quick fast simple friendly quality service. It was reasonably priced before the tech arrived on site. We had a terrible experience with West Coast Air Conditioning with a recent add of AC and asbestos ducting removal at our home. We were alerted to asbestos wrapped ducts in the attic, so the two-part quote included asbestos removal by a licensed abatement contractor and new ducting to be installed. After the work was completed, we found out that their subcontractor was not properly licensed or registered to do that type of construction. When we approached the management at WCAC to address the issues and irregularities of the workmanship, they ignored our safety concerns regarding procedures and regulatory requirements that were not followed. We eventually hired a licensed abatement contractor to remove the remaining asbestos coated boots that the contractor failed to tell us about and had another HVAC company install asbestos free boots to make our home habitable and paid for testing to make sure it was safe & working efficiently. read more

We had to replace a 20 year old furnace. West Coast gave us a very competitive quote and we scheduled installation within a couple of days. Three guys came out (Eli, Aaron & Gil). They were prompt, personable, and professional. They removed the old unit and installed our new one in a half day, taking extra time to explain improvements they made to our system, checked the registers throughout our house and installed new filters (I already had) in the intake vents for us. They made suggestions for improvements in the configuration of our air ducts to give us a more even distribution of heat throughout the house. We worked with Letti to have air conditioning installed in our house. Due to the construction of our house, an air conditioning install was going to be complicated. Letti provided multiple options for installation. We finally decided to go with a ductless mini split system. The crew at West Coast Air did a great job installing the system. They took great care to come up with an installation plan that would be the least obtrusive aesthetically. The guys worked on the project for 2 days, and everything came out great. I had a terrible experience with West Coast Air Conditioning. Initially, I was glad they were able to show up on short notice when our AC unit stopped working. I paid them $125 for a service call. I did not supervise the technician, Rich, at the side of our house, and now I wish I had. He told me our condenser was out, but the company refused to quote me just on the condenser. After the visit, they had office staff that calling us to try to schedule a "sit down meeting" with a Sales Rep for a quote on an entire new air conditioning system, which was overkill and we did not need. They refused to quote us on just a condenser, so we could already tell it would be a high-pressure sales pitch. My son was visiting today with his boss (who have some AC experience), and went outside to debug the AC unit. We were angry to find 3 things the technician had done, even damaging the AC unit: 1) He entirely bent outward the exterior side panel, instead of taking the time to properly unscrew it, to view inside. 2) He removed the capacitor (which is strapped down) and took it with him without telling us that he removed it! My son suspects that we might just need a $30 capacitor from the hardware store to get it up and running again. Of course, we suspect that the technician possibly took the capacitor out, so the unit would fail to work, in an attempt to try to sell us an entire new air-conditioning system. Even if the capacitor were blown, it's a part that is secured down and would not easily fall out and fully disappear. 3) The technician unbolted the top lid in order to do his inspection and never bolted any of the hardware back on! My son found the bolts just loose sitting there, and a few are missing in the leaves. The Technician basically dismantled our A/C unit and did not put it back together the way it was when he came, as well as disfigured the side panel that he bent. All of this reflected poor workmanship, damaging shortcuts, dishonesty in removing the capacitor (which he never mentioned removing nor of it being any concern). Perhaps we just got a bad technician, but I do not trust this company. Beware of a hard-core overkill sales pitch to replace your entire AC system, when you possibly just need some components replaced (as well as dishonesty of their removing components, such as a capacitor, without telling us!). read more

Amazing job. Ben came out and did an initial site survey, he produced an install plan with different furnace and AC options to pick from. I really enjoyed her a ton - she is one of the best communicators I've had the pleasure to work with pretty much ever. Just the right amount. Friendly and professional and personal. Needed a service call for the heater not turning on. Left a message on Sunday and they called me promptly Tuesday morning, as Monday was a holiday, and scheduled a time to come out within an hour.
