The room was spacious and clean, with two comfortable beds, which was a good size for a family of four. The location was convenient and the view was nice. However, for nearly $500 per night, I expected much more. There was only one small sofa, so the whole family couldn't comfortably sit together and relax, and there wasn't even a table or seating area where everyone could gather. There was also no large mirror in the room, which was surprising for a property at this price point. Overall, the room was clean and accessible, but the value simply wasn't there. 1 out of 5 stars I stayed at Temecula Creek Inn on New Year's Eve, so I expected the rate to be higher than usual. Unfortunately, the room I received absolutely did not justify the price. I was placed in one of the older, cabin-style rooms, and it was extremely disappointing. The room felt dingy and dirty and had a very unpleasant musty smell. There was really nothing inviting or appealing about it. I also arrived in the evening, and the lack of outdoor lighting made it surprisingly difficult to even find my room. At check-in, the front desk simply confirmed my reservation, handed me a map, pointed me in the general direction, and sent me on my way. Considering how dark and confusing the property was at night, that was not very helpful. There was also no room service or convenient way to order food to the room, which added to the disappointment. Overall, this was a very unpleasant stay, and I would not return. The only reason I'm giving it one star is because they had availability on New Year's Eve and the location was convenient for getting to Pechanga Casino. Lovely ambience! We came to celebrate my significant other's birthday and wanted to indulge a little. Our room was very nice, a corner patio with a beautiful view. We brought our e bikes and they were easily accessible and secure. Cons: check in was 4pm. We couldn't get into our room until after 430pm that was annoying after a long trip & we are past check in time. The person checking us in, to make up for this, offered cocktails (2)-we do not drink. Ultimately they offered credit to their restaurant. We submitted our request for breakfast & it was late & the bill was wrong. By now, this "relaxing" weekend was not very relaxing. Also they told us we could have a noon check out which the same front desk associate was there when I checked in and she totally forgot as well as they forgot to make notes. It just feels like maybe a bit short staffed??. In all, I had higher hopes for a hotel at nearly $500 a night. read more

I think the ground is more than anything or what makes this hotel. A few times I've stayed here over the past few years. It's been more about the restaurant, the conference base is the walking path all of it. The rooms could definitely use some TLC. They are outdated and definitely using all of their lifespan. However, things are clean and kept in good condition. The beds are comfortable and views from the room and solid. 36 hole golf course is great. The room was big but sparse and had no ambience. The hair dryer was broken, the windows were filthy. The controls for HVAC are hidden behind a cover with no instruction. Therefore most people would not find them. The chaise lounge at the pool was ripped and I fell thru. The umbrella was torn and blew over on me. We had to stay here while our house was getting painted. So incredibly relaxing!! They took the time to help us extend our stay when things with the house were taking longer than expected. The front desk was professional and made everything easy, even switching us to a room 2 doors down with no lag time between rooms. Cork fire is always great service and amazing food. Great resort with a beautiful entrance that is tucked away but close to downtown Temecula. Found this place through Chase Travel as I was looking for a place to stay at for the weekend to celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary. We were greeted and welcomed as soon as we entered the lobby to check-in and they were very accommodating as we arrived 1-hour early before the scheduled check-in time at 4pm. The staff also delivered a card and a bottle of wine to celebrate our special occasion. We were given a room on the 2nd floor with a patio that overlooked the majestic golf course. The next morning we got to enjoy some delicious food at their restaurant Cork & Fire before we headed out on a wine tour. Overall, very peaceful resort with nice amenities. One thing I would recommend is an upgrade to the closet and bathrooms which looked a little outdated for an "executive" suite. read more

Stayed at the resort over a very rainy weekend and I mean it poured! This place is sprawling with about 5 "blocks" of rooms spread linearly. If you're traveling with a group you might want to specify getting the rooms in the same block. Part of the reason for my low to average overall rating is because these buildings and room are dated, rustic, basic. That alone isn't the end of the world but this place was expensive! Two nights (Friday, Saturday) for almost $900? There's a golf course on site that looks great but I doubt I'd stay here again just for easy golf access. On a positive note the front desk staff were friendly & efficient. I also misplaced one of our room keys and after a text to the front desk my replacement key was delivered very promptly. This property had lots of potential for a beautiful stay between the restaurant, golf course and scenic grounds. The room was spacious and had some nice amenities with little touches, a large balcony and nice bedroom furniture. It wasn't well-lit and seemed like it had been vacant for a while as there were a few dusty spaces. The bathroom was most in need of an upgrade with dated fixtures and odd patch-ups here and there. First, the staff couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. The texting option was perfect and their responses were prompt. The location is beautiful, secluded yet still in the heart of things. The room was nice enough. We didn't ask for an adjoining room, and I was surprise to find we had neighbors. When they spoke it was like they were standing in our room. A tad annoying for me, my husband found it amusing. The room was huge and looked recently remodeled. There was no microwave, which I would expect at this price point. Also, there was one sitting chair and one desk chair. There is plenty of room for a small sofa or other more comfortable seating options that, again, I would expect at this price point. And finally, the bed was comfy enough, except the bottom sheet was too small so once you sit on the bed, it comes loose. The bed quickly is messy and drove this OCD girl a tad nuts. Overall? Lovely. Beautiful property--but dishonest service ruined the stay The grounds are beautiful, and the room itself was nice. I didn't bring my golf clubs this time, but the course looked great. That said, I won't be coming back--and not because the A/C was broken, but because of how it was handled. The manager knew the A/C wasn't working when I checked in. The front desk and maintenance pretended to troubleshoot it, even though parts were already on order. They played me for a fool, making me jump through hoops, acting like I didn't do something right, and sending a tech--who left a note saying he'd "come back to check out the issue." Only during checkout did the manager finally admit they were waiting on a part all along. Customer service is simple: when there's a problem, be honest and fix it. A heads-up when I checked in, a comped breakfast, a bottle of wine--something to show you care. Instead, they gave me $21 off. For no A/C. In 110° heat. Staying at a resort is about relaxing. Hiding issues and pretending everything's fine? That's not hospitality. That's deception. Do better. FYI. I sent management a similar letter days ago... ZERO RESPONSE!! Privacy violation & filthy rooms Made a last minute booking at the Temecula Creek Inn when some of the facilities at the original place I booked were closed. Was told on check-in that my room wouldn't be cleaned unless I asked. Most hotels have an eco policy and I wanted to be alone to relax anyway so this wasn't a problem. I wasn't very happy with the condition of the room but just wanted peace, so I wasn't going to make a big deal about it. The second day housekeeping walked into my room while I'm *half naked* in the bathroom with the door open and am yelling "No, don't come in!" and "Go away!" They apologized and later, the front desk asked what they could do to make it right. I asked if a spa treatment could be provided but understood when they said the only relationship they have with the Pechanga is the shuttle service. I wasn't going to demand things I didn't need so I settled for a late check out and a bowl of fruit. Front desk told me I could check out at any time. The third day, I received a text from Hailey, the front desk assistant manager, to remind me that check out is at 11am. I called to say I was given a late checkout. With a condescending tone, Hailey told me that in fact, *I* had violated policy by not putting up the "do not disturb sign" and she couldn't just let me check out at 11 PM or something. Still trying to be understanding, I replied I had been thinking of checking out at 3 or 4 PM- when I would be moving to another place. She said the latest they could generously offer was 1 PM and continued to be condescending. I was shocked she would renege on what had already been guaranteed to me. I booked a similarly priced place nearby where they allowed me to check in at 10 AM because the room was ready and it didn't affect to them either way. As I was booking, I saw the Temecula Creek Inn still had many rooms available. I checked out and immediately left. I understand the human error in accidentally entering a guest's room, so would have left without another thought if not for Hailey's unbelievable attitude. read more

We were pleasantly surprised after reading all the negative reviews. Yes, the rooms are a bit dated, but they were large and clean. We stayed in #146 which ad a wonderful balcony with a view of the signature waterfall by the 18th green and the chef's garden as well as the 1st tee and expansive beautiful golf course. The service was really friendly. We felt very welcomed, and they did a great job accommodating our requests, including being near the pro shop, so we didn't have to take our golf clubs too far to check in. The restaurant, Cork Fire, is a killer amenity! Great room service and the food is first class. I was also very impressed with the golf course--it was in very good shape with some narrow fairways and tough greens. Interesting terrain changes between the Stone House which is really hilly with a ton of up and down vs. the Oaks course that was a bit flatter in the valley. Nice golf carts and very well-stocked pro shop. Driving range was off matts. We attended a wedding, which was a spectacular location at the Stone House. Always love TCI. But this time around 1star. Played Sun Nov 24th Teed off at 10am, range under renovation. Not TCI's fault. Pace of play brutal 5:45 hr round Creeks fairways needed to be cut. 2nd cut rough 4-5 in thick. Hard to find balls. Needed to be mowed it was brutal. Head to Stonehouse undercut by 4 some who started their 1st 9 had tee time at 12:45 would not let us play through. Pro shop called staff member comes and says "I have been told by other staff whoever gets to the tee box first is up."Ummm what huh?? The rules of golf etiquette are whoever finishes their front nine has honors to start the back nine. It made the round longer close to 6 hours. Not worth the 120$ no discount etc... read more

Overall it was a good stay, but for the price point and the location, the expectations were not met. Especially it being a primary place where golf enthusiasts stay. Possible factor: I had a dog (?). Let me explain... LOCATION: Is great! Pechanga is down the street which if you tell the front desk you'd like to ride the shuttle van they will pick up and drop off to and from Pechanga to the Inn. Its also surrounded by a golf course which leaves well kept landscaping and beautiful scenes. It's a large property that sort of resembles like a campground where there's a restaurant on one end, a beautiful area for weddings, and the rooms. FOOD/CORK FIRE KITCHEN: Is delicious! The room service food is from this restaurant. ROOM: Generally it looks like they renovated the room and made added unique bits here and there to make it updated. Pros- the balcony view is peaceful. The outside seating is quaint and peaceful. The room. The bed was very comfortable with equallyl comfy pillows and sheets. Spacious, and calm with the outdoor balcony access. The room front door is unique and the room key is wood which was pretty neat. Cons- no mini refrigerator so for those of you who want to have a "staycation" and lounge in the room all day be aware. The bathroom tub was NOT clean to my liking with stains (see pictures). The carpet had stains which made me feel dirty and questioned being barefoot. Now I brought my dog so I get it if they put me in a room that's designated for guests with pets BUT I've stayed at other places with my dog and the room carpet was not stained in this way ESPECIALLY for this standard of a hotel/inn. I was taken back and disappointed by this. That $100 pet fee is NOT refundable so it makes me question what are they doing with the money because clearly they are not using it to actually clean the rooms the way they should based on looking at the carpet. BREAKFAST: They have a door hanger that has breakfast menu items where you're meant to write out what you want for breakfast if you'd like breakfast. It says clearly to leave it out on the door knob and it's collected nightly. Well, I followed the instructions, and sure enough the next morning, it's still there. It wasn't picked up. So now, I feel they should've written in the instructions to give them a call so they know to pick it up. Had to get breakfast off property. Would I stay here again? Yes, and I'll go without my dog this time to see how the other rooms look like. My daughter reserved a block of rooms for her beautiful wedding but I had a terrible experience. Room was adequate but dated and carpets very dirty and sticky amenities very minimal. I put up privacy sign for 15 min to take a shower and took it off the door right after. When i got back from the wedding, cleaning services did not make up the room. The next day i inquired and they told me I had the privacy sign up and they said they texted and got no response. I did express my disappointment and the next day Sunday i asked for an one hour late check out and the assistant manager denied the request. Sunday was pretty empty and rooms were being offerred at half the price i paid so I do not think things were very busy as the parking lot was empty. Giving me an extra hour for the multiple rooms we occupied and the lack of housekeeping would have made a nice gesture. Poor management training. read more

We had the opportunity to spend an extended weekend at TCI for a golf tournament and of course being in Temecula took advantage of enjoying a few wineries. The tournament was at Temecula Creek golf course so it was only natural to stay at the Inn allowing us to be near the course and friends who stayed at the Inn as well. However, for the money we spent (and we got a somewhat small price break for Friday and Saturday so it would have been their usually HIGH weekend rate) I feel like the rooms were in DESPERATE NEED OF updating and cleaning!!!! The pros for the the room are: the room is large, has a small refrigerator, our room had a balcony that overlooked the golf course, double sinks in the bathroom, the toilet had a separate room with door, and a large TV and a large carpeted floor area to workout which I did. But the cons for the expensive extended weekend (Th-Sun) were: room needs updating, carpet old and because I worked out and glad I brought my yoga mat because while i was on it; I noticed either dog hair or human hair on the carpet, the furniture is scratched and old looking, the mattress had BIG holes where others have slept, the slide screen door had holes and track was dirty, the bathroom walls were damaged, light switches looked old and discolored, fan in toilet room loud, toilet seat needs some maintenance, shower curtain hung low into the tub; hence into dirty shower water (gross), usb outlet on nightstand missing, interior doors at bottom are cracked and look water/moisture damaged, curtains (both light blocking and decorative) are old and dirty, cheap looking toilet paper holder as well as the toilet paper kept coming off of it. Although, I will high praise to the property. It is definitely a beautiful setting and location to visit, but perhaps go and enjoy the Cork & Fire Kitchen. We had appetizers which were very good. Unfortunately, the prices are high and for our salad my husband and I split, it wasn't much. I have spent less (say at The Cheesecake Factory) and received a scrumptious salad with triple the portion. But again, looking over a golf course while dining is sometimes worth the money paid. They do have a small gym with a couple treadmills, 1 elliptical, weights, and a weight/workout bench (the kind for a full body workout). Plus they provide towels and have a TV. We didn't utilize the pool, but it looked kept up well. Did enjoy the jacuzzi, on the small size and because its close to bushes/trees, there were droppings inside the jacuzzi, but still nice and relaxing. Outside the front desk/lobby, there is a nice, large patio for sitting. We enjoyed sipping wine and chatting with friends. Beware...the room comes with two bottles of water and if you need more it will cost $5 per bottle for extra nights. Our friends asked for more and that is what they were told. The room does have a single serve Keurig which we used and the coffee was good. Since they don't clean your room daily unless you request it, we had to request more coffee pods for the other morning we stayed. The front desk employees were kind and always available to answer questions via texting and they were prompt in replying. Oh yes, Pechanga now owns this property so you will see their security car travel throughout the day and I suppose one other plus is that there is a shuttle that will take you to and from Pechanga from TCI. Not sure of the times as we didn't go while staying at TCI. All in all, I would NOT stay there again especially for the price and room conditions. I have stayed at nicer and cleaner Hiltons & Marriotts on the road to TX. Yes, I don't have the same balcony view, but I will give it up! For the price one will pay, it just ISN'T worth the money. We stayed on a golf package on a Monday and Tuesday, we arrived on a Sunday. The property is much more manicured and well taken care of, more than expected. The beautiful and well laid out courses have three "nine holes" (Oaks/Creek/Stone House). Stone House and Oaks are the more challenging, with Stone being even more so. The rooms are spacious and have a mini wet-bar w/fridge. There are large LG flat screen TV's as well, it is somewhat hard to use or navigate the menu and is confusing when changing channels. The staff, especially the front desk and room tenants are very friendly and eager to help in anyway. We ate at the Corkfire restaurant for dinner and lunch and was pleasantly surprised as for the food and service. The chef has his own garden to grow some greens and vegetables, is a nice touch *farm to table. Overall, it was a great experience and good value for a couple of days golfing and staying. The surrounding area has nearby groceries, outlets, and plenty of food/meals choices. We will definitely come back to enjoy again. read more
