A panoramic view of the Temecula valley, taken from our room's balcony. Don't judge the grass, it was a rough Summer! :o)

Que Syrah is now my go-to place to stay when in Temecula; or anywhere within a 30-mile radius, for that matter. When I look for places to stay, I look for location and a little luxury (that's why they call it vacation, right!?). Que Syrah is positioned on a hill that is surrounded on all sides by vineyards and wineries. You couldn't be closer unless you stayed at an actual winery; but, most of the wineries offering accommodations in Temecula are over-touristy, under-charming and over-priced. I know, I've stayed there. This multi-suite mansion has stunning views from every balcony and patio. It's just the right size for a small destination wedding and could even be used for just the wedding party with more guests at other area hotels. The beds are Tempur-Pedic foam style and are a dream to sleep on. The entire building, rooms included, are decorated with bold, modern colors and furniture which gives the place a homey feel that you can't get at other run-of-the-mill hotels and resorts that opt for cookie cutter spaces and neutral tone accouterments. There's a large hot tub out back, a huge, open kitchen and dining room (perfect for starting out the day), upstairs and downstairs communal lounge areas and even a bar. There were pastries, fruit, Keurig coffee (with Irish cream liquor!), and juice available for free every morning. There's an option for a bottle of wine in your room for an upcharge that was reasonable (and maybe even cheaper than retail for the bottle we got). Every single part of our experience was flawless and comfortable and allowed my guest and I to focus on nothing else, but each other. The owners, Mike and David, are not only accommodating, but pleasant, friendly and endearing. They even provide a cell phone number for any issues that might pop up. Staying here is basically like staying at your (wealthy) friend's house who is EXTREMELY eager to please and has a great sense of style. We loved every second and know you will, too.

I shot a wedding at Qye Syrah where my clients rented the entire venue (instead of individual rooms) for their weekend wedding celebration. They had their family members from out of town stay in the plentiful and spacious rooms. The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. My clients were able to convert the backyard with use of a tent, lights & a dance floor. The front of the house and garden was used in the wedding ceremony. The interior of this mansion like home is very chic and stylish. The surrounding grounds are also beautiful and we were able to get some good images at the event. For more info on this event, see reviews by Patrick Z (groom) and Kim L (makeup artist for the event). Photos by Anthony Arcinas for lightcaptured photography. www.lightcaptured.com

This is a fantastic spot to stay with a big group! We had a group of 22 stay here for our wedding weekend and everyone had more than enough space. Our wedding was at Lorimar Winery (6 minute drive) but in addition to staying there, we used the Que Syrah Resort for a Welcome Party the day before and getting ready the day of. A few of us arrived one day early and booked a single room at the resort (it is able to be booked hotel-style if no one has booked the whole place). Mike and David were wonderful hosts. They greeted us when we arrived even though we checked in late in the evening and gave us a tour of the whole place. Que Syrah is beautiful inside and out. The lawn made a perfect location for our welcome party. They moved two bars outside for us and set up chairs and small tables. We brought lawn games and had more than enough space for our 70 guests in the backyard alone though we could have expanded inside as well. The master suite is huge, the closet alone is bigger than our apartment bedroom back in LA. We had more than enough space to get ready there just in the suite alone. All of our guests loved their rooms and the views from the balconies were fantastic. Plenty of parking for the guests of the house as well as the larger group for the welcome party - we had tons of room to spare. I highly recommend this resort for any large group and it is extra great for weddings. If you are considering Que Syrah - book it!!

Just one of the many views from outside! Gorgeous! Even on a rainy day!

I booked Que Syrah for my wedding the other weekend for our closest friends to stay in for the weekend. We booked it unseen and could not have been happier with the result! Everything was super clean and looked just like the pictures. The management was super easy to communicate with. (I had initially found it on airbnb but was able to book it directly with Mike, which turned out cheaper!) Vanessa was great answering questions we had about the place leading up to the event, like if they had a keurig (which they do) and how to get a caterer in and out! They helped set up tables for the rehearsal dinner as well as took them down the next day. They were like little mice, I barely even knew they had shown up! I wish I had the funds to stay there every weekend because I would!!! If we ever have reason to book it again, no doubt, best place to stay in Temecula!!!

The first thing you see when walking into the resort.

We were especially impressed with the nice bathroom with large shower and separate tub. Check-in was easy; like an Airbnb a simple code for room entry was provided and payment was made online. The property feels secluded and private and is very well maintained. There were only 4 or 5 rooms, I think, at this property. Each room has its own designated parking space. Like an Airbnb, bring your own amenities; other than soap and towels, nothing else was provided in the bathroom. There is a pool and hot tub but I never even saw either as they were on the back side of the complex and we pretty much just wanted to chill in the room. We planned a stay here just to relax and rediscover what a nap is. The huge downside for us was that the walls here are paper thin. The noise from the room next to us kept us from being able to relax or sleep and even woke us up the following morning. Conversations, the television, and the lovely sounds of snoring could be plainly heard by us. The most irritating noises from next door were the sounds of a babbling toddler who enjoyed running around the room; we were mistaken to think this is an adult-only type of villa. While we loved the room the noise didn't conform with our want of a relaxing vacation space.

In fact, if I were to design a vacation family home I would use this floor plane almost exactly! The bedrooms were nicely placed and each had their own full bathrooms. The primary suite had a bathtub and a twin trundle bed which met our family's need for our family with 2 young children. The 2nd and 3rd bedrooms were adjacent to the primary and had their own full baths with showers. Each of those bedrooms had Queen sized beds, which I must admit I hope the owner will consider changing at least the middle bedroom (plenty of space to do do) to a King sized bed. The 3rd bedroom might be tight but I would rather have a King sized bed and no night stand (personal preference). Also, the main area noise does carry straight back to the middle bedroom so place your heaviest sleepers in there! A door between the kitchen and the bedrooms would really help that but that would not stop me from renting this lovely home again! Main area and kitchen were nicely appointed and super comfortable. Fireplace worked beautifully! Games were stocked under the bar area. In warmer weather sliding doors could be opened for a huge open entertainment flow. We made breakfasts and lunches no dinners but the kitchen had everything you would need for meal prep( bring extras like foil and spices). Moving downstairs. We had a 2 year old so a door or baby gate up top would be recommended. I was surprised the downstairs floor was concrete. It does show that when I looked back at the photos but I just hadn't noticed. They do have a rug under the sofa/tv area and a fireplace. The area was really completely self contained and perfect for one of our families. Again, a King sized bed would be appreciated in the main bedroom and as the listing stated you HAVE TO ENTER THE 5TH BEDROOM THROUGH THE 4TH BEDROOM. This was perfect for our family with kids but would be a little odd if another couple were staying there. It is a bunkroom so I feel like it would only be used for families with kids so it was perfect! Both these bedrooms had no windows so they were great for sleeping in! Also, the downstairs had it's own heating system so you could completely control the downstairs temp which is not always the case. Big bonus! WIFI was slow when using our devices but the TV did not ever buffer while watching. Downstairs access right out to the firepit which we used to make Smores was perfect. House was SUPER clean upon arrival! I swept up the crumbs we produced after the first day then mopped the upstairs main area (neat freak) and the mop cover did not get full of dirt indicating the floor had been previously cleaned very well! Uber impressed! They do have you remove your trash to containers on property prior to check out but that was understandable and not a problem. Plenty of hot water. Water pressure good. House was not preheated upon arrival but warmed up super fast one HVAC was turned on. Jacuzzi was preheated upon our arrival so no waiting for it to heat. Lots of towels both bath and jacuzzi. This house is remote as stated. Down the end of a paved road. Gate to unlock (maybe install a motion activated light so we could read the lock at night) and then down a dirt road at lease a mile I would say. I personally LOVED the quiet. Someone else might be a bit uncomfortable with that. We left during a rain storm and the dirt road seemed fine. I don't know if that would be a problem had it rained many days or heavier. There are cameras at the entry gate to the property and someone does come EVERY time you leave and make certain the gate is locked. This was a comfort to me as someone is making certain only our party entered. The outdoor front patio could have been cleaner (dirt and leaves blown) but to be fair it was Fall and you are in the wilderness. Plenty of outdoor parking behind house. House is about 20 minutes from Old Town where we dined every night when not attending wedding festivities 5 minutes away at Galway Downs. I would highly recommend this property. Super clean and comfortable. As stated earlier I would totally use this floor plan if I were to build my own vacay home! We had a wonderful stay.

SHORT VERSION: Wilson Creek Manor is an Avantstay property…read more "Unparalleled service" is supposedly one of their hallmarks but all I got was very poor service. Oh, and by the way, the previous owner MURDERED someone on this property. LONG VERSION: Booked Wilson Creek Manor directly through Avantstay's website but the day before check-in I got an email saying they had to cancel my reservation because of a broken water heater. Why wouldn't you CALL instead of just emailing? My reservation was less than 2 days away, call and leave a voicemail. I called Avantstay immediately after I saw the email and the call gets routed to some overseas call center. The person can't help and says they'll reach out to the dept that handles this and I should hear back within the hour. 1.5 hours later I still haven't received a callback so I call again. Same response, said I should hear back in an hour. 1.5 hours later, still no call, I call again, now they say I should receive a call by 5pm (5.5 hours later). My check-in date is the NEXT DAY! 5pm might be too late because what if they don't call me back and everyone goes home for the day? Then they change their answer to someone will call back in an hour. But I've heard that one before. FINALLY someone who can help calls back and finds me a replacement property. After we hangup I discover a hiccup. One of the families staying with us was planning to bring their dog they noticed that the new property doesn't allow pets. We paid a pet deposit so this is something that Avantstay should've caught and pointed out. That family had to find a last minute accommodation for their dog so that was another added inconvenience. Another hiccup: I was told I'd receive check-in instructions the next morning. On the way to the property my wife asks for the details of how to get inside the property so she could send it to the other families. Realized I didn't receive those details. Had to call Avantstay once again. Another inconvenience. This is all BEFORE we even stepped foot onto the property. While on the property we discovered someone was MURDERED in that house. This spooked everyone and no one was able to sleep well. My wife and I were married on October 11, 2025, and every moment--from our very first venue tour to the final minutes of our wedding night--was exceptional. Julie was at the heart of it all. After visiting several venues in the area, Temecula Creek Cottages immediately stood out as the clear choice. Not only is the property stunning, but the cottages themselves were incredibly convenient and had everything we and our wedding party needed. From day one, Julie was extraordinarily organized, thoughtful, reassuring, and genuinely a dream to work with. Her vendor recommendations saved us countless hours of planning, and we were thrilled with each and every one. I truly don't know how we would have brought our vision to life without Julie. Beyond being an outstanding wedding planner, she has a wonderful sense of humor and made the entire process fun. She was available whenever we needed her, start to finish, and by the end she felt like family. My wife and I cannot recommend Julie or Temecula Creek Cottages highly enough. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the beauty, the serenity, and the undeniable charm that this property radiates from every corner. The grounds are stunningly beautiful--lush, thoughtfully maintained landscaping, picturesque pathways, and a sense of privacy that makes you feel as though you've stepped into your own hidden oasis. It offered the perfect blend of elegance and rustic romance, giving us the intimate atmosphere we were hoping for without sacrificing refinement or comfort. The scenery created the most breathtaking backdrop for our ceremony and photos; every angle felt like a magazine cover. The cottages themselves were absolutely perfect. Each one was cozy, comfortable, and full of character, creating an environment that truly enhanced the magic of the weekend. They gave us and our loved ones that "wedding retreat" feeling--quaint, warm, and incredibly special. Waking up on the property on our wedding day felt peaceful, grounding, and unforgettable. But beyond the beauty of the venue, what truly elevated our entire experience was working with Julie Edwards, owner of Simply Regal. Julie is, without exaggeration, the greatest wedding planner we have ever come across. Her talent, professionalism, and dedication are genuinely unmatched. From the very beginning, she approached our wedding with a level of care and creativity that was absolutely mind-blowing. Julie has an extraordinary ability to take your vision--even when it's not fully formed--and bring it to life in ways you didn't even realize were possible. She thinks of every detail, big and small, and executes with a level of precision and grace that made the entire day flow flawlessly. Villa del Vino Guest House! Temecula, CA…read more We recently booked two nights in one of the rooms at their guest house. As this place only allowed check-in at 5PM, we arrived a little after which was already dark. We turned around a few times thinking we had missed the place. There was no light illuminating the front entrance or the number of the location. No lights along the driveway to the guest house either! When we walked into our room, we thought it was nice. However, as we settled down, we found out that the heater was not working. Being a cold evening/night, we couldn't take a shower without the heater working. We turned on the fireplace to try and get some heat. Unfortunately, that didn't work either. Next, we tried the TV, and found that it didn't work either because the remote control was missing, there was no cable and no satellite! The next morning, we called and spoke to Heather. We informed her of all the issues. Instead of apologizing, she made excuses about someone having stolen the remote control, told us there was a floor heater in the room when there wasn't one! She should have made sure everything in the room are in working condition before renting it out. Then she said she will have someone come out to look at the HVAC system but she didn't have the courtesy to tell us when the guy was coming. She also mentioned she was going to get a floor unit delivered to our room. When we came back to the room at 3 PM, the heater was still NOT working and the floor heater was also not delivered. We saw the housekeeper and asked her for a heater as we had requested one from Heather earlier in the morning. She called Heather who said a repair man was coming to fix the heater between 3 and 5 PM. He showed up but after an hour, diagnosed the problem and told us he couldn't not repair it that day because the shop selling the parts was closed. Apparently the HVAC had not been working for some time and the owners didn't even care to repair it before renting out the place. If we had not spoken to the repair man, we would not even know what was going on. Heather did not even have the decency to tell us that the HVAC unit would not be repaired that day nor did she ever bring us the floor heater she promised. We came back from dinner and still NO HEATER!!! No blankets in the room either!! And not a call or word from Heather about the heater or the TV reception! NOTHING! On top of that, the bed was soft and worn out. You sink right into it. After the first night, my back was hurting. We spent two cold nights with no heater, no TV reception and a very uncomfortable bed. We couldn't wait to get out of there! The common areas at both entrances to the guest house were filthy. Bad impression even before you reach your room. The people who run this place do not care about their guests. They don't live on the property. If you need anything you're out of luck!! They need to get their act together. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. Stay away and find another more reputable location. ZERO stars!!
