Stayed here on a Friday night using a reward from my Marriott Bonvoy account. Visited temecula Old Town and wine country during the day and was heading to San Diego for the weekend so this was an ideal location. First time staying here and the hotel looks like it was remodeled recently in the lobby and cafe area. My room was located on the fourth floor and was clean and comfy. Parking is complimentary and Marriott offers complimentary charging for Tesla vehicles. This came in handy and I was able to charge overnight to 100% I didn't eat here so I can't comment on the quality of food, but my overnight stay was pleasant and the staff at the front desk was friendly and accommodating. This was my first time staying at a Courtyard. My husband surprised me with an overnight birthday weekend. We went wine tasting and stayed here instead of driving home. I'm not sure exactly what my husband booked but this is my experience. The rooms may look more modern, but several corners were cut. I'm convinced the rooms were designed by a man. Design Failures by Men (probably): - Poor lighting in the bathrooms. Bad for makeup application. Equally as bad for applying and removing contacts. - Generic shampoo/conditioner. A woman would've known to make it sulfate free for those with colored hair. - Only 2 outlets in the bathroom - No trash bags in the trash cans. I mean, not the best experience if you're on your period. - They put the mini in mini fridge. I couldn't even fit one standard to go container of leftovers. - No headboards. They just use foam pillows against the wall. Pros: - Strong water pressure - Generous with the amount of available towels - Lots of space in the lobby for gatherings or taking private video calls. - Plenty of charging outlets next to each side of the bed. - shower gel smells good - Plenty of counter space in the bathroom - Plenty of free parking - Charging stations for electric vehicles - Designated Uber pick up area Cons: - Limited amenities (only 1 bar of soap and one make up wipe). Bring your own everything. - No soft close toilet lids - No lotion - No microwave to reheat food - Only coffee, no tea Additionally we happened to get a larger room (304) as it was designed for folks with disabilities. The bed was supposed to be King, but I imagine they needed to make adjustments to shorten the bed to ensure there was plenty of space for movement. We stayed here hoping it was better than our other 3 choices. We were wrong. The lobby looks great, free parking, spacious. As we got to the room we were given a handicap room. Ok so maybe cause we were a party of 5. But we were only given 2 beds! Where does the 5th person sleep? There was no pull out or anything. We barely got lucky that there was an extra mattress they brought up. 2 lights didn't work. So they sent security to come and check it. He ended up replacing the light bulbs. The following night we wanted to check out the area but it looked as though there was a kids party going on in the lobby, at the pool so getting around was difficult. If we had known this was a thing for people to have free parties then we wouldn't have booked here. Our morning of check out.. we needed more hand towels so I asked the first house keeper, Elena for a hand towel and she told me she didn't have any more. ANYMORE!? She's literally cleaning the room! So another housekeeper, Juliana, came out of the linen room... THE LINEN ROOM and proceeded to tell me the same thing! This hotel is really stingy with their towels it seems. Maybe this is why our tub still had hair in there. Oh and don't expect the tv guide on the tv to match the show you are wanting to watch. read more

First room was clean and spacious... it has minimal toiletries shampoo conditioner and body wash was not filled fully so we ran out on our second day... they also provided 2 mini bar soap by the sink and a make up remover.. So i would always travel with toiletries im sure toothpaste and others are available upon request. But if not they do have mini corner store by the lobby.. with snacks and drinks and mini toiletries options. They also have a starbuck franchise coffee but not full menu. This area is surrounded by stores walmart sams club trader joes and restaurants if you really need anything. We did not check nor use the gym, laundry pool and rooftop bar. But those are available. Also this was my sons 1st Bday and i usually ask if they do something for them, usually they will have a goodie bag and a cup cake so it does not hurt to ask. But Marriot did above ans beyond for us balloon set up ans cup cake so that was such a great touch.... Overall great place wont mind to stay here again if we are near the area! read more

4/27/2025 This stay was no so pleasant. First of all as Gold Elite Marriott Bonvouy members we are normally greeted and provided a welcome package and offer for later check out and provided a room upgrade if available. That did not occur. I did ask for an upgrade and I was told they were fully booked and it did look that way. My wife asked for the water and the front desk representative told my wife to grab two from the cooler. This is not the norm from our experience as we have stayed with Marriott 42 times so far this year. Nonetheless we got the keys and went to our room on the second floor. After a full day of excitement we retired to our room and were exhausted. We had the worst night listening to banging and running on the floor above us. It was horrible for anyone who wishes to sleep. Knowing they were booked out we had no options to move but I did mention this to the young lady downstairs when checking out. We usually stay at the Residence Inn and now I know why. I doubt we will book here again. The rooms are okay but the noise is beyond acceptable. read more

WiFi was out the entire week I was here. Didn't clean our room unless I asked the front desk. Bar/Restaurant was randomly closed one night I was here (the one night I planned to eat here). The same night bar/restaurant was closed, they stated that breakfast would be closed the following day as well. For as new as a hotel this is, this seems inexcusable. read more

A few weeks ago, we had a lovely stay here on a Saturday night. Everything was wonderful. Room was spacious and clean. The bar downstairs was small but sufficient. It was perfect for a quick turn around trip. We had my grandpa with us and he was very comfortable here. We would definitely stay here again. read more

First time in Murietta/Temecula. Let me start by saying it was hot AF there. I went there in early October. It was about 100 degrees in dry heat. On that note, Ill make my way up to the good regarding my stay: CONS: 1) LOBBY: Once I walked in, it was not cool. I'd say it felt like 80s? They had these machines either blowing air or circulating the air. Not sure if the A/C wasn't fully working or what. 2) ROOM: Flooring is vinyl. Most hotels I've stayed at are carpeted, so that was new to me. I didn't mind it but there was an area where the flooring was buckling up. If you weren't careful you could scrape your foot. The A/C blows straight on to the bed closest to it. I was freezing but I couldn't turn it down. It was either on or off. I ended up putting the light see through curtain over it so the air would be muffled a little. It definitely was much better. 3) BATHROOM: One thing that bothered me was that the toilet was facing the big mirror. Last thing I want to see is myself using the bathroom. Haha. 4) BED: There were some stains on the sheets but I think it was bc the sheets have been through the wash several times for years. Behind the pillows, the headboard was all ripped up. The fitted sheet seemed to have shrunk some as it didn't cover the whole mattress (see pics). 5) No water refill station on the floors. I had to go to the restaurant bar area where there was a huge water dispenser to refill my water bottle. They had sliced cucumbers to give it some flavor. Overall, the cons weren't bad at all. It's just more nick picking. Now to the good stuff. PROS: 1) Pretty big parking lot. Plenty of parking available. 2) located right next to a little strip outside mall with restaurants & other stores. You can walk there; but remember it was 100 degrees outside. Lots of good restaurants were close by to drive to. I highly recommend Rival Coffee! 3) Service was great. 4) Rooms & bathroom were spacious. They have shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower. 5) Plenty of outlets and USB plugs, good coffee maker (no instructions so you had to figure it out). 6) One thing I do like is the vinyl flooring bc I hear bed bugs don't like shiny smooth flooring. Since the bedding wasn't the cleanest I was afraid of bed bugs. I did check out the mattress etc and all was good. Even better with vinyl flooring. Overall, I would probably stay here again; but purchasing new sheets would be nice. I thought for the cost and hotel being a Marriott, the rooms would be a little nicer. It was close to a lot of restaurants and shops so if you're looking for convenience, this would be the place to stay. read more

We stayed here last weekend and this hotel was extremely nice. Not too far from Old town Temecula. The room was clean. The shower was amazing. They have a patio in the back that has a nice pool and hot tub also a nice place to sit by a fireplace. The bar has reasonable prices for drinks. The staff were amazing. Plenty of space in the room. Tv is a smart tv that allows you to watch HBO max, Netflix, YouTube, etc. The bed and couch was comfortable. I had 0 complaints about this property. read more

Glad I'm not the only Gold Elite Member that has been unhappy with the service here. We checked in late at night and kindly asked for late check out the next day. I was told by the front desk that I'm good with the 2pm late check out as an elite member. The next day we went back to our room after lunch and could not get into our room. I went to the lobby and got my card re-activated. I wanted to reconfirm that I had my late check out. The front desk no I could not due to high occupancy. It was Sunday! Highly doubt there was high occupancy that night. It was 12:45 pm and was told I had until 1 pm the latest. Of course my kids were sad because they looked forward to swimming! First experience as an Elite Gold Member that was denied my benefit to a late check out. read more

Big room and nice for a quick stay. The only con was that we were changed for the restaurant when we didn't eat, drink, or purchase anything there. So check your invoices. I called and they were able to remove but was a little shocking. I also never got a mobile key or notification the room was ready. But for the price of one night, it was a nice hotel. read more

I've come here many times for overnights whenever my wife has to work late in the IE and have plans the next day in the same area. Perfect location. Big facilities which appeared to have been modernized. I've been coming to a Marriott going back 35 years and appreciate the consistency of service, cleanliness and excellence. I saw their new safeguards on the room doors to protect from break ins. This particular Courtyard has an easy access parking lot. You park and simply walk in. The rooms and beds are normal sized and comfortable. They no longer use the pillow top bedding/mattresses (darn) but no complaints here. read more

I am a regular visitor to Murrietta and usually stay one to two weeks at a time. After being disappointed by my last stay at the Home2Suites Temecula location, I was looking for a new default hotel. I was disappointed to discover that this Courtyard property will not be my new favorite. First impressions matter, and I was quite disconcerted by the lobby area. There's a dining area to the left of the main entrance. It takes up at least half of the main lobby. The lights were turned off and chairs were upside down on tables, giving the impression of having walked into an establishment after hours. It is gloomy and dark, really not welcoming at all. This seemed to be the normal state of this area over the two days that we stayed there. The rooms are a little odd. Everything was new but the layout was cramped with scant space for our things. It was bit like being in a ship's cabin; everything felt just a little too small and with too many compromises. Strangest of all, the right hand nightstand faced perpendicular to the bed, so you couldn't open the drawer (see photo). Also, the walls and ceilings are extremely thin. We could hear people in the neighboring rooms coughing, watching tv and moving about. Footsteps from the room above were noticeable. The rooftop dining and lounge area was permanently closed, apparently a casualty of Covid. Fortunately, the Courtyard shares a parking lot with Residence Inn, its sister Bonvoy property. I walked over, got a room in minutes, and moved the next night. I won't stay at this Courtyard location again. read more

I've stayed at this hotel twice now within the last couple of months, and both times, I've experienced great customer service. Everyone from the front desk agents, to the Bistro Restaurant staff, have all been very pleasant and accommodating. The expression at this hotel is "sorry" or "so sorry". Arrived looking forward to charing my car. Apparently the car chargers have not worked for 4 weeks. It would be nice if you changed your website. The room was clean except there was mold in the corner of the shower & the bed was like sleeping on a rock. The kids at the front desk are nice, but it seems like they have "canned" answers. After charging $50., for incidentals, when you check out the $50., shows no where! And the answer is "so sorry" when you ask for a print out that just shows 0. Just a bit unusual. The room was $225., it felt like Budget Inn. read more

I love this chain! I try to always stay at a Marriott hotel. The hotel itself is very nice! However the room had a strong urine smell to it. We asked the front desk to please have someone mop it. She immediately sent someone. The lady that came to clean the room moped the restroom but the problem wasn't in the restroom. It was in the living room. As I expected pained where the smell was coming from, the lady proceeded to tell me that she didn't originally clean the room therefore someone would come back to clean it. Then she said she was off and it wasn't her job to mop it. She then left. I was confused as to why she refused to do it. Like seriously??? I had to go to the front and complain. The lady was there in the front and I had absolute no problem telling them what had occurred. The supervisor came right away to clean the room. She was nice and apologized for her staff. An employee should never say that to someone that is staying here! If we ask for services that person who's job is do clean, should clean . The others who work here are great! And I will tell you this! This room still smells and yes it was moped! I'm assuming a dog peed here . read more

I stayed in a 2nd time and when i got there i notice the sheet had black spots on then. It like okay it late and the next morning I felt sand on the sheets. I had not been to the beach so the sheets were dirty. I asked the front desk to have them changed while I was gone. I left the hotel at 7:15am and got back around 8pm to find dirty sheet on my bad. I had a 10 night stay. Housekeeping is only every other day however they did not do housekeeping as scheduled. The toilet was clogged. They turned the water off numerous times. When I requested towels it took more than an hour. There is not a microwave in the room and the fridge is tiny. I would not recommend stay if more than a night. read more

Super thin walls, you hear people snoring, talking, walking, etc. Every footstep above, each side, and the hallway is loud. They refurbished the place so it's very clean and modern looking, but the AC/heater will wake you up in the middle of the night (original appliances) Nice staff, but it's so loud here!! read more

I stayed here for a few nights because I was visiting for a wedding. Temecula is beautiful and peaceful. I arrived during a very hot time tho luckily there's a pool to cool off the jacuzzi was out of order when I was there. There's a huge fireplace by the pool area. A nice spot to hang out at night. This place is all newly renovated so it's all nice which I loved. The staff was all friendly. There's a small snack area that's open 24/7, you pay where you check in at front desk. There's also a bar that serves food also (check times they serve). There's a small workout area. They do serve Starbuck's at the bar area. The rooms were nice because it's all renovated. I gave it 4 stars because the mini fridge turns off every 2hrs! I specifically checked to make sure they had a mini fridge. I have a toddler and had to refrigerate a few things for him. It ended up going bad because I wasn't able to stay on top of turning it back on every 2hrs. I understand that they're trying to conserve electricity, but a refrigerator needs to stay on or else what's the point?! Other than that, I enjoyed my stay here and I recommend it. read more

Horrible experience here. I booked through AMEX Travel as an Amex platinum member. When I checked in the lady denied that I booked it through Amex travel even after showing her my confirmation. She kept telling me that it was through Expedia so all of the Gold Elite benefits that I pay for through Amex would not be available. Not only this, but the main reason we booked the hotel was to have friends from out of town come over to hangout at the rooftop bar which was closed for "renovations" with absolutely no notice prior to booking. The icing on the cake was finding multiple bugs and ants throughout the hotel room. When checking out of the room, the front desk associate had a list of rooms with the same issue written down. Such a shame! Will not be staying at another Marriott hotel again. No sense in doing so since I can't use my Amex benefits of Gold Elite status. read more

The location of this hotel is ideal as it is in close proximity to dining and gambling options but overall this hotel is just ok. The carpet is old and dated and the room AC never completely shut off. Heard a small hum all night which was annoying. The gym is tiny and not very useful. Their lobby coffee shop has very limited hours which makes it inconvenient if you want to come down for coffee or food at a random hour. I will probably not stay here again since I think there are better options for both lounging and convenience. read more

In large part to Gerald who helped me get into the pool, provided towels and really went above and beyond to give customer service that I wouldn't normally expect from a Courtyard. The location was great and very close to old town Temecula which has a ton of great restaurants- I suggest small barn. This is a great place to stop between LA and San Diego. This place is just okay. Rooms are kept clean, but the hardwood floors make all the problems that much more apparent. Housekeeping needs to do a better job wiping down and cleaning the floors in the rooms. There were hairs and dust bunnies everywhere. There is graffiti etched into the signage near the elevators. Also, the carpet in the hotel hallways were filled with crumbs and other litter. This was all on the fourth floor. Parking is plentiful, the rooms were generally clean, and the staff up front was very friendly. This place is good for one or two nights, but anything past that I'd recommend staying somewhere a bit tidier and with more amenities. read more

So I'm in Temecula for... nevermind. It's a long story. There's a lot to like about this Courtyard Marriott, tho. The lobby is nice and large, the staff are very friendly and the room was great. There's a coffee maker and small fridge by the window, and the bathroom is nice with a cute sliding barn door. The closet was a little small, but that's ok. The pool is nice, and if you're going downstairs for breakfast get the breakfast quesadilla! It's almost the same price as the breakfast sandwich, but the quesadilla easily can feed 2 people! If I had one complaint, I thought that the towels were a little industrial and scratchy. Because of COVID, housekeeping is only every other day. But overall a great hotel and parking is free! read more

Very Nice Stay! This particular stay was short and on a busy holiday weekend, however the service was spot on and very accommodating. When I arrived the lobby was busy but check in was fast and smooth. The first room that was given unfortunately had a plumbing issue (reason for the -1 star) but once I called the front desk a key was brought up and a new room was made available within minutes. I had a late night but when I returned I needed extra services and the front desk took care of me with no waiting, plus I slept very well in the spacious double queen room, it was perfect. And one more thing, not that I was in the room long enough but I do appreciate the fact that the room had an energy saving feature tied in with the key card. I would choose to stay again and I definitely recommend Courtyard Marriott Temecula/Murrieta. read more

On one of our most recent SoCal sojourn, we stayed at two different Marriotts. Of the two, this one had the slightly a larger room with seating area, smallish TV and no microwave. The carpets throughout were filthy. You could see darks droplet stains. Originally we thought it was just the carpet pattern, but it wasn't. This is surprising, since they just opened this Marriott Courtyard in January. We kinda of expect everything to be brand new and clean. Hmmm. The staff however was very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful, so that's why this is a Three Star Review and not a Two Star. To the owners, ya got to keep up with the maintenance! 10.04.2018 Stayed a night here after a day at work and a drive to SD for a two-hour meeting. Figured I'd try this new hotel and be closer to work for once. I loved the complimentary electric vehicle (EV) charging!!! My late check-in garnered me an upgrade to a king suite, which was an ADA-compliant room, which I didn't mind. But I wish my family was there to enjoy it also. The room had wood floors! Not sure if all the rooms were like that or just this one as an ADA-compliant room. I loved the energy saving light features and comfy yet modern feel of it all. The room was well-appointed and decorated. The bathroom was clean and I loved the huge shower. Best part was the water control was on one side of the shower stall so you could turn on the shower without getting wet. I wish I could've stayed longer but I missed my family...oh yeah, and I had to go to work. Only down side of staying here versus a Residence Inn was no breakfast. I guess I could've spent the extra $5-$10 price difference to stay next door. Or...I could've just walked over there and ate breakfast. Something to think about for next time. read more
