We came to celebrate my mom's 3/4 of a century birthday! My parents raved about the meal. I thought my dish was a little overpriced all be it good. The dip platter was our favorite! Glad telio has found a new home. Will have to be back!

We didn't get a chance to try the food here, but I still feel compelled to share our experience. We arrived at 5:20 pm on a Saturday night. The restaurant was not crowded -- a few people at the bar, one group at a table, and several visibly open seats. From the moment we walked in, the interaction felt unwelcoming. Upon seeing our 18-month-old in a stroller, the host immediately seemed guarded before any conversation about reservations or seating had even begun. When asked, we explained that we didn't have a reservation and were meeting friends for a drink during happy hour. He noted happy hour ended at 6 pm, which worked perfectly for us. He suggested the bar and asked how many were in our party -- four adults and one toddler. What followed felt like a series of barriers rather than an attempt to accommodate. We were told they only had high tables (fine -- our toddler could sit on our lap), then that there were only seats for two at the bar, and then questioned about what we planned to do with the stroller. We explained it was small, compact, and could be folded and kept beside us. At no point did the host attempt to look at options or offer solutions, despite the restaurant being mostly empty. Instead, each response felt like another reason we shouldn't be there, making it clear that we were viewed more as a nuisance than as customers welcome to spend money and support a neighborhood restaurant. This was especially disappointing given how family-oriented the Upper West Side is. I completely understand that restaurants get busy and that Saturday nights can be challenging, and not every restaurant is going to be as supportive of having a child during the busy dinner hours (whether I like it or not), but this was early evening, we planned to stay briefly, and we would have been gone well before the dinner rush due to an early bedtime. We ended up finding a busy restaurant around the corner that was more than happy to seat all five of us. We enjoyed a few glasses of wine, shared appetizers, and were surrounded by other families -- and we were out before the rush. I'm not saying don't go to Telio, in fact, I would try again! But first impressions matter, and I hope they reconsider how they welcome families who live just around the corner and want to support local businesses, even if only for a quick drink.

Salad with just the right amount of feta and dressing...neither drowning in dressing nor dry as a desert

I'm complete baffled by these mixed reviews. I had a LOVELY dinner here with food that was absolutely scrumptious! The atmosphere was warm and cozy; the drink intoxicating; and the food? CHEF'S KISS!!! Staff were friendly and appropriately attentive. I will be back.

Telio on Broadway is the perfect neighborhood spot for anyone craving hearty, authentic Greek-Mediterranean cuisine with a touch of Italian flair. Recently relocated and refreshed, the space feels bright and inviting, with plenty of room for a relaxed dinner. We started with the Greek salad, Brussel sprouts to die for, oysters, lentil soup and Shrimp Saganaki --both standout appetizers. For main course - we had the homemade crab/lobster ravioli, Seafood pasta, Imam Bayildi stuffed eggplant with onions, tomatoes and mushrooms seasoned perfectly, & filet of sole. Service was friendly and efficient, prices are reasonable for the portion sizes and quality, and the overall vibe makes it great for families, dates, sport night or casual nights out. They have a full bar - their proposis wine is my favorite. It's not overly fancy, but reliably delicious--a true UWS staple. Highly recommend if you're in the area!

Been here waiting for our entree for over 60 min ...

Unfortunately super mid not fresh tasting food. It's weird they must be using the same vendors or something in the space and the older male owners just sit around drinking and guffawing loudly.

Food is fresh and well served. Prices are what you expect them to be post pandemic in the UWS.

OH MY 10/10 IT WAS CREAMY BUT NOT OVERLY CREAMY. THE CRUST WAS GIVING BROWN BUTTER. IT WAS SO GOOD. OH MY I LOVE. NOT TOO SWEET service: EVERYONE WAS SO NICE & GENUINE. I LOVE IT HERE.

Kiki's has been on my list since I moved to NYC ~5 years ago and it was finally time to try it out!…read moreI went with a group of 4 on a Friday around 6:45pm. Unsurprisingly, there was a long line to put down our names on that gloriously warm and sunny spring evening. We were told the wait time was 1-1.5 hours which honestly went by so fast because there are so many fun places around the area. We got our table at around 8pm in the restaurant area right across the street. I can definitely see the timeless appeal of this place-- the vibes are so fun, the energy is young and vibrant, lights are dim, the music is loud, the smell of sizzling grilled meats and fries fills the space -- all of this hidden behind the facade of a printshop in Chinatown. It's a one-of-a-kind place. The food was pretty good and reasonably priced. We shared: - bottle of orange wine: very generously priced which we easily split amongst us 4. The wine was bright, refreshing and had a lot of body. - dips: we ordered the tzaitziki and the fava bean dip. They accidentally gave us the tirokafteri (or spicy feta) initially which was ironically my favorite dip out of the ones we tried, with the perfect creamy and spicy balance. The tzaitziki was also delicious, refreshing, and cool. The fava bean dip eventually came and it was a bit flat in flavor and texture compared to the other two. It tasted like blended fava beans with some capers on top and no other flavor elements. It was also a bit dry and I was expecting a texture more similar to hummus. The dips came with very delicious pita/regular bread and we also asked for cucumber slices for our gluten free friend (didn't know this was an option but cool!). - octopus: pretty small portion for 4 people but amazing! The octopus was super tender and flavorful. Considering how busy this place is, I was surprised at how well made this was. They have the dish mastered. Highly recommend! Would order again. - gigante beans: tomato bean stew, pretty good and filling! Good to share if you want something a bit more hearty and warm. Also gluten free! Perfect for colder months. - saganaki: I think I would come back exclusively for this alone. It's the perfect dish: the salty and melty cheese is packed inside layers of crispy, flaky, buttery phyllo, with sweet honey on top. This had the perfect balance of flavors and textures. I would order one for myself next time. Definitely a crowd favorite. - mixed grill: the menu said this was for 3 but it was actually a very generous portion for us 4. Delicious meats: it had lamb chops, some chicken and pork souvlaki, Greek sausage, and ground beef patties, all over a bed of well seasoned fries and pita. Truly a stellar dish. Perfect to share and super satisfying. - desserts: we tried the baklava and cheesecake. The baklava came completely without structure and was not that good (too heavy on the cinnamon for my taste and not enough filling), however the cheesecake was rich and creamy with a tangy flavor that perfectly balanced the sweet strawberries and delicious crust! Very well made. My major critique is that the service was quite disappointing. I felt like our waitress was not very kind/ helpful/ was annoyed at us perpetually for no good reason. Additionally, items in our order were messed up or came out too late (which is usually acceptable because we all make mistakes but flagging down anyone for help was virtually impossible). Ultimately, I would probably come again with a group of young people because the food was so good and affordable. The vibe is also pretty unique. However, Kiki's could certainly benefit from polishing its service a bit/ hiring more staff so there is enough attention to customers. While they understandably manage tremendous volumes of people, especially over weekends, that should not come at the expense of the customer experience.

How does this place have a 4.5 star rating?…read more We've been here many times as it's close to home. The food is always a solid 3/5, at best. It doesn't matter if you're getting a horatiki salad, pikilia, souvlaki of any kind, or a piece of salmon. The pita is bad, but everything else is just fine. Then you'll get the bill and ask yourself how you just dropped $250+. $18 for two pieces of halloumi? A 25% tip? And why does my stomach hurt? The servers are kind enough. The hosts are oblivious. Maybe you'll be blessed with a table by the bathroom or a door tonight? Maybe you'll get your delivery within the next hour? Do not ever order delivery from here. Ignore the delay for a moment. Everyone makes slips. $80+ got us 1) a chicken platter 2) two small soggy slices of halloumi 3) a salad with a single lukewarm chicken kebab on the side. The food was fatty, greasy, cold, and looked like it had been leftover and reheated from someone else's plate. Perhaps the delivery kitchen is different than the dine-in one? We were starving, so please pray for us - hopefully no one starts feeling sick tonight. Yasouvlaki is an awesome place to take your parents visiting from the suburbs or another state. Don't go here because you want real Greek food. And don't bring your Greek friends here, either. They'll be mad at you. 2 stars is generous.
