Short version - *Quality workmanship. *Excellent customer care. *Fair price. *Great employees. *Good communication. *Best workmanship warranty. Long version - I do tons of research, both on the contractors with whom I work and the materials they use. I started by researching roofing materials: specifically, PVC for low slope roofs. WeatherBond roofing materials are well respected by contractors and they have the best warranty in the industry. I then searched out WeatherBond Certified contractors and interviewed four estimators. Jesse was my estimator: he's a genuinely good guy, and gladly spent a considerable amount of time answering my questions. Jesse also provided excellent follow-up communications throughout my pre-selection process. I found that Tekline has a separate crew dedicated to installing flat and low-slope roofs, and is one of the few, if not the only roofers in town, that pays their installers by the hour. This is important: installers paid by the job tend to rush through their work and work extended hours in order to move on to the next job. When the installation process began, I found Tekline's foreman, Armando, to be professional and highly concerned about doing a quality job. Tekline's phone representative Aly is a pleasure to work with; she is an excellent communicator, provided me with updates every day of the installation process, and went the extra mile by answering after-hours emails. I believe customer care to be the truest test of any company. - Midway through the project, we had a mishap, and there was a water intrusion. I was pretty keyed up, but Tekline's production manager Pat was calming and reassuring. Within an hour, Armando and his assistant were at my house and remedied the situation. The next morning at 8:00 am sharp, Tekline's owner Scott, came out to the house to make sure everything was alright. Over the next couple of days, I spent a fair amount of time communicating with Scott, and he and his company exceeded all of my expectations. I inspected the roof today. The level of workmanship and attention to detail is excellent. Compared to the contractor who roofed my house fifteen years ago (with inferior materials)... there is no comparison. read more

Tekline did a Top Notch job replacing our very old roof. Here's my story: In the beginning, I took several bids for the job. Tekline and another company were just about neck-and-neck except for two things. 1. We have six Solatube skylights on our roof. Tekline is an authorized installer of Solatube and knows how they fit into the overall roof. 2. Tekline offered to remove our antiquated chimney that was long ago, attached to an ancient coal-burning furnace in the basement. It was Trouble waiting to happen. Tekline removed the stack to below the new roofline at no extra charge. My second choice company did not so much as mention it. Our job was an extra challenge in that our yard is entirely taken up with gardens, raised beds and a greenhouse. There is little space for stacking staging materials. However, the men who delivered the materials before the job began examined the yard closely and worked it out so that all the materials could be ready and available for the crew. The men of the crew all appeared to know well what they were doing and worked together smoothly. As I work from home and was in the house for the entire job, I'm very happy to report that the job wasn't as noisy as I thought it might be plus, the crew did not listen to loud music or radios while working (as so many other jobs I hear in the neighborhood). Despite many rain showers, they got the job done quickly and efficiently. Also because of the weather, it was difficult to say exactly when the job would start but Aly kept me current with a daily phone call regarding the start date for the job. Finally, Tekline went beyond the strict call of duty when, a day or two after the job was finished, I noticed that one of our downspouts had fallen off. Although they did not do our gutters when they did the roof, they nevertheless sent two men out to replace the downspout at no charge. Thank you everyone at Tekline for a job well done! read more

We recently had Tek-Line Roofing replace our 21 year old roof with a beautiful Lifetime warranted roof. We asked 5 roofing contractors for quotes and received 4. Tek-Line's quote was in the high middle but the professionalism displayed by Tek-Line and Adam, the sales representative, was the clincher. Adam arrived as scheduled, in a clean, well-marked van. He had a professional appearance and a smile. Adam listened and noted all of our requirements and explained the whole process. He guided us through the material selection from shingle construction to types of venting. He got on the roof, took all measurements and inventoried all of the materials we would need and before he left, we had a detailed quote with all work spelled out and with material catalogs and warranty information in-hand. We were then contacted by Neil who set up the roofing day. Four days before the install, he called and advised us of the delivery of all materials and the placement of the dumpster. He went over the process again and made sure our questions were answered. But the most important and impressive part was the tear-off and installation. Tek-Line's 3 man crew was on time and turned a 4 day job into a 3 very-long day job. They moved all of our potted plants out of the way, tarped everything and at the end of each day cleaned up everything off the ground. I watched some of the roofing process and was very impressed with the detail in the assembly of our new roof. From the tear-off, the installing of the underlay and flashing to the high quality shingles, all was good. At the end, all of the plants and outside furniture was replaced to their original locations. That night, it rain lightly. It was a nice end to a great experience. We had our roof replaced by Tekline in April 2025 on a very old rental property. The replacement was required by our homeowner's insurance company, which made timing and budget especially important. We just completed a membrane replacement roof on our home in Seattle. We got multiple bids and Tekline Roofing was slightly more expensive but their guidance on what would be the best course of action for our roof replacement (its a flat roof) gave us a great deal of confidence. They were recommended by our long term contractor as well. From the start the interaction was personal and professional. So as the day approached to begin work, the Tekline team made frequent contact regarding timing and what would be happening. So first thing on Tuesday the Honey Bucket arrived, immediately followed by the dumpster and the Tekline team with all of the additional roofing materials. 30 minutes after everything arrived they were already demolishing the roof above. They were super professional from the start (and were tolerant of my barking german shepherd. They completed the project in two days instead of four and you would never know the team was here. They even called at the end of each day to see how the work site was, was it cleaned up, and were there any issues. The owner (Scott) came himself to review the work and get feedback (you cannot ask for more than that). They also offered to review the Dish network reinstallation since the last one was screwed into the roof (a big no no). The entire experience was the most pleasant and professional I have experienced with any construction company. For me it was an investment in our home and I am confident in the work. This is the second time I am doing this review for this company. The first time, Yelp filtered it. I feel so strongly about the work done by this company, I am taking the time to do this again. Otherwise, you should publish this review bcz it is real and may help others considering this company I hired Tek-Line after a bad experience with another roofer. Tekine just finished up this week and they definitely deserve the 5 Star rating. It blows my mind that a contractor can be this great. What makes Tekline stand out is that they go out of their way to do the work properly. Everything was done to perfection. At the beginning I did not know this. I monitored their work carefully and was generally suspicious. Now, I would hire this company in a heartbeat and then go on vacation. I have that much trust in them now. Scott who is the owner is just a really nice guy. He is always available by phone and text, checks on the progress and kept me informed. In the end, I got a fantastic looking new roof for the price quoted and the process was smooth. In my 20 years at my house with numerous contractors doing various things, I've never once had such a positive experience and then at the end feel so great about the finished product. I told Scott today that I would gladly be a reference. He didn't ask me. I volunteered. I generally don't want to be bothered. But I really appreciate the work these guys have done. read more

Our old roof needed to be replaced especially when water started to drip through the ceiling. In May 2018 Tekline installed a new roof and they did an excellent job. Every point of contact - from the initial assessment, to admin staff, the builders, and the walk through at the end was excellent. We didn't climb up on our steeply pitched roof to look at the work but Tekline sent us before/after photos. Tekline was not the cheapest, nor the most expensive bid we received, yet the service we received was consistently excellent. A few months after Tekline had installed the roof, I noticed that tiny amounts of water started to drip from the same spot in the ceiling again. Tekline promptly sent a technician within 24 hours, who removed parts of the shingles and identified the problem, which turned out not to be related to the new roof that Tekline had installed. A pipe that connects to our dryer come loose and needed to be reconnected. The friendly Tekline technician attached and sealed the pipe and closed the roof. The whole session took about 3 hours (identifying the problem, buying parts, repair). When I asked Tekline to send me a bill they said that they would take care of it. In every way, they've gone way beyond expectations. I only wish I had another project they could do; I'd use them again in a heartbeat. read more

Job was to repair eaves, convert from hidden gutter eaves to standard and install new composition roof on a 1960's split level. Eave sheathing was rotting and there were several layers of prior roofing and patches badly done and many other things wrong on the existing roof. Took their crew 2 days to completely tear off the old roof, repair the eaves, put down new sheathing on top of the existing planks, and re-roof. They had no less than 10 guys there the first day for almost 12 hours. I've had several roofing jobs done at various properties and so I know they did a good job. It rained overnight between the first and second days, but they had prepped for it so nothing leaked despite the partially completed work. The only thing about the job that wasn't totally seamless was the chimney also needed repair, but their masonry subcontractor didn't want to tackle it given the level of work it needed, so I had to bid and arrange that separately, and I was able to find a better gutter installation bid than what was included in their estimate who did a fine job even so. Thats why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. Tekline may not be the cheapest bid, but you do generally get what you pay for and I am satisfied with the work. read more

After many months of interviewing roofing companies and reading their reviews, we settled on Tekline roofing and were not disappointed. From the first contact with Chris, to the final meeting with Scott, the owner, everything was superb. When Chris came out to do the estimate, he was very thorough, answered our questions and had a great attitude. Scheduling with Ali in the office was seamless. We had a lot of weather delays and she kept us apprised throughout. Tekline is amazing, and you can tell by how they are booked. Despite having to wait a few months due to their schedule and weather, they came out and tarped the roof and continued to come out and check it frequently. When it came to the work, the crew was professional and quick. Juan, who led the crew, was the nicest guy and was great at communicating throughout the project. His entire crew was just fantastic! They left our home cleaner than it was before! They also had great communication, speaking with the neighbors each day to ensure no debris was on their property. The price was a little above the other quotes we got but a negligible amount. Totally worth the difference due to service, professionalism and the final product. In deciding on the company to replace our roof, I looked for one that offered the following: Demonstrated service and work based on reports by customers on various websites. Timely response to initial telephone or email contacts for information. A company representative who visits the residence on time, makes a thorough assessment of the roof's condition with personal inspection or digital means, presents a clear review of the results and recommendations and the cost estimates. Reasonable costs in comparison to current reports. I contacted 4 companies and decided on the TekLine Roofing Company, which met all four expectations, even though it came in with the higher costs. Based on the results, I have not questioned my decision. The final work was done with efficiency and care and based on photos taken during and after, the roof looks great. I applaud Ceasar and his crew for their attention to details. I made my final decision based mainly on Jose B. and his professional and personal approach and willingness to make accommodations. We first worked with Tekline Roofing in the summer of 2020, to replace the roof of our 90 yo house. Tekline did an AMAZING job - efficient, on time, and on budget. The end results are both attractive and have held up well. I've never looked up at a roof and thought "hey, that's a great looking roof" until Tekline finished our roof. No leaks in the past 3 years. Fast forward to about a month ago, and the shingles on the backyard office that was built in 2015 are starting to fall down. There was only one company I thought to call: Tekline. The estimator came out within a few days, gave us a reasonable estimate, and put us on the schedule for the next month. Tekline ended up doing the work a few weeks early, and finished up the project in 2 days, with the only part that went over estimate being the replacement of a rotten plywood roof panel that was discovered (it added $75 to the total cost). I would highly recommend Tekline for any roofing needs. I'm honestly a bit sad that we have no other roof projects for them to work on, and I really doubt that the roofs they put on for us will need to be repaired in our lifetime! read more

We were referred to Tekline through some neighbors in Queen Anne that had used them a year before. We called in the fall of 2017 after a heavy rain and noticed some water spots in our kitchen area. Tekline was the chosen contractor among the vendors compared to replace our roof. We've chosen them to install a metal roof project, this Summer 2019. From quote, to excellent work & communication with the installation crew, to administration and Scott oversight, the team did a solid job on our project. Few bumps, rain delaying roof installation, delay of gutter installation, but Scott and team were very professional and assisted us through the completion of project. All minor issues and nothing that would make me not recommend their work to anyone else. Extra-point: We needed to resurface our chimney and after repairs were done, Tekline installers came within few days of phone call to install the sidings needed as discussed, to complete the roof project. No leaving us on hold because the roof installation was complete. After researching online and having a few bids, we decided to go with Tekline as we felt they were the most knowledgeable, cost efficient and able to accommodate our ask of having 3 different roofing types for our home, garage and addition in composite, PVC and metal as well as new gutters. Each of these required a different team to come to the house to complete the work. The timeline stretched a little longer than initially thought but knowing that materials gathering as well as inclement weather was a factor, it wasn't at all unreasonable. Each team that came out was communicative, clean and professional. Each team lead went through to verify their work was done properly with me and I appreciated their input and recommendations. Great follow-up with Scott and the final invoice was spot-on with their original quote. So impressed by this! I did not have a good experience with the company, but you know what? They tried to make everything right, went above and beyond in that respect. My project was complex and I should not have used a company like this. I ignored every red flag: sales reps when I should have been dealing with much higher skill level individuals during the bidding process, gimmicky marketing with a heavy emphasis on sales (discovered this after the fact). I was recommend by another contractor that could accept my project because it was too small and made the excuse of a timeline issues being the summer (its a valid and reasonable reason, I just don't like it). Should have waited. 20/20 hindsight - Would I use again? Only for simple roofing projects (I mean simple) and without any question I would use them again, but man I regret not using the other company I was trying to get. I don't know if I am mad at myself, Tekline or the other contractor. LOL! read more

They quickly shot up to my top choice for their incredible customer support, transparency, professionalism, and fast response times. Competing roofers forced contracts, wanted me to watch videos, and fill out survey before meeting with me. Getting a new roof is scary and expensive. I was looking for quality and expertise. Tekline made it as easy and fluid as possible, they worked with my schedule and really knew their craft. Tekline deserves an A+ from their world class professional behavior and work.
