I came in for 2 pedis and a full set. The persondoingmu nails rude from the get go. Asked my usual for past 19 years: nude color with clear gel instead of top coat. "We don't do that here" Why? I asked. "Because we don't do it" She did what she wanted. Not what I asked for. I even called my nail salon in California for my girl Vivian to tell her how she did my nails..... NOPE. Still a no go. Nals shape andlenght are all irregular in shape and width is not proportional. Crusty at the cuticles and crocked! She chatgedme as if she had worked on them. Their nail polishes are old and ugly. I walked out with a $65 bill SAVE THE TROUBLE AND GO ELSEWHERE!! I'm not returning.

Came in for an eyebrow wax and now my eyebrows are uneven and they took off a lot from the starting point of the brow. They didn't even comb the brows to get them into place and I feel like that's why it came out uneven. They were nice but I wish my eyebrows weren't that bad. It's so obvious it's uneven. I'm so upset.

Needed an eyebrow wax and just moved to the area. I called to see if I could make an appointment and was told that eyebrow waxes are always walk-ins because they're so quick. I popped in and out in less than 10 minutes and paid $9 for a great wax! I'll be back, definitely. Can't beat the price and she was very thorough.

SO GLAD I found this place. My hands down favorite is (was!) Roxy Nails on Ben White & Lamar, but I don't live down south anymore. (Honorable mention to the place in Concorde Centre on Airport Blvd.) This place has a GREAT atmosphere, and long, luxurious massages in very comfortable massaging pedicure chairs. I live nearby, so this is now officially my pedicure place. I recommend it to any of you other newbie northies like me!

I called on a Saturday afternoon for an appointment on the next day as soon as they opened. The woman who took my appointment didn't take my name, which I thought somewhat odd, but when I got there at noon, they got me in right away. I asked for a pedicure and dip nails. As soon as I sat down in the chair for the pedicure, a woman came over to rough up and soak off my existing nails. I DO NOT like having my hands and feet done at the same time. I can't relax and enjoy the pedicure. It's overstimulating and stresses me. The pedicure was generally ok and the deluxe included parafin soak and hot stone massage. There was not a lot of selection in pedicures. My only complaint about the pedicure was that she did not let my feet soak in the callous solution before using the "cheese grater" on them. The manicure really irked me. I've had dip nails done for the last 3 years all over the country, and almost everyone does them differently. The tech did not wrap the nails in cotton/acetone and let them soak off. She roughed them up and gave me a bowl of acetone to soak in while she did the other hand. That wasn't enough time to soften up all the polish, so she dremeled the remainder off, including some of my natural nail. :-( One of the reasons I get dip nails is to preserve the natural nail. She did not ask me about shape, and when I indictated I wanted them cut down, I assumed she would keep the almond shape I had. She didn't, and I asked for more definition, which she did on one nail. She then got called away to another customer, and I sat for the rest of my pedicure with one hand cut down roughly and the other not. The tech that did my pedicure finished my dip job and did not match the shape originally established, so I ended up with a natural shape instead of the almond shape I wanted. I realize I could have protested, but I was already not happy with the experience, so I just tried to get out without being a witch to anyone. The tech applied the dip color and asked me if I wanted a 3rd coat. I did not, so she commenced to dremel the nails again(?). She re-shaped them after polishing them, which I think will open up the edges to separate, but I'm waiting to see if that happens. You never know the process a place uses before you go in, and everyone has their own preferences. On the plus side, the nails look fine, just not the shape I wanted and I got out in a little over an hour for what usually takes 2.5 hours. The price was reasonable and the ladies were quite pleasant and could tell I was not enjoying the experience, but either didn't care or didn't have the language skills to ask my preferences. I felt trapped with the process, and that even asking for a different process would not have produced a positive experience.

Went in for a shellac manicure around lunchtime on a Thursday. Only one other customer there, so got right in. They have TONS of colors to choose from. I picked a boring gray color as I'm getting my nails done before a big work conference and need them to match all my business attire, but I am dying to come back and copy the nails my aesthetician had - a silver chrome looking color. Very nice and polite ladies running the place. I was in and out within 45 minutes. I entertained myself watching Lady Gaga music videos that they had running on the TV. $28 before tip. Really happy to have a solid option near my house! I'll be back!

Went here bc it was close and all the good reviews. I really wanted to give this place good reviews but I can't with the quality of my nails. They're way too thick, uneven and lumpy, uneven color and crooked. For $50 I expected much better quality. The color I wanted was off too as well as the glitter. I'm going to call ans see if they'll fix my nails and possibly change the review. If not I'm going to stay far away from this place.

Showed the nail tech a picture of what I wanted and got something looking not even remotely close to what I had asked for. I had wanted a chrome effect on my nails which they said they could do. 45 minutes later it just ends up looking like when I painted my nails in middle school. Cheap looking blue shimmery press ons. I was so dissapointed. The way I was being treated was unusual as well. The other nail tech asked two other people getting heir nails done at the same time as me if they wanted anything to drink. No offer for me. Just found the whole place uncomfortable.

Great service and great price! Fourth nail salon I've visited in Austin and this place was by far the best in regards to the quality of work on my nails! Jenny saw me right away. I showed her a pic of the French manicure ombré look that I wanted and she was on point. Sometimes nail techs make them too thick, she did not! She was precise and accurate in the overall detail and quality. I will let you know how long they last. I was not impressed with the actual physical shop though. Lots of nail dust everywhere, many visible wires, clutter and business was very slow as one of the other nail techs mentioned. Another nail tech heated up her lunch which smelled up the small salon and she proceeded to eat off of the massage chair. I get it, people have to eat so I'm or saying anything to that but definitely need a little lunch room. It was just kind of awkward. Back to nail service... I was in and out in less than an hour and love my nails they also do a point reward system to get you to come back which is always fun!

I've been on the hunt for a great pedicure place since moving to Austin. There's a place off of 1st street that is always full, and the work that they do is just okay. After I was told that there was a 1.5hr waiting time, I knew there had to be a better place in Austin. I was very pleased with my pedicure and the technician was very kind. She didn't cut me during the pedicure and she did a great job with the polish. I've officially found a new place!! read more

My favorite nail place! The gel manicures are top notch. The pedicures are AMAZING. Just the standard pedi includes a full leg and foot massage. And if your feeling lazy that day, you can even have them wax your brows in the back. Prices are super reasonable, staff is friendly and speak decent English. Also, get a free alcoholic beverage! Their margaritas are stout and delicious. read more

My FAVORITE nail salon in Austin!! I work up north near this location and it is SO easy to pop in on a week day with no wait for a quick mani or wax. I live in central Austin but will even travel up here on the weekend if I need to. They do get busy on the weekend (because they are the best :) ) so I'd recommend coming right when they open on Sat/Sun. They do a great eye brow and bikini wax too. Love these ladies!! read more

I love this place! You get red or white wine, or a Margarita. ..or h20 of course. The ladies are sweet and do a great job. The massages are solid. Hot towel on your legs. 25.00 pedicure... can't beat it. It's my go to. I'm glad bc after 10 years at Smily's nails in Hawaii... I haven't found anything like it for 2 years. Yay. This place does a great job! As a man, who works in the construction industry. My hands get used a lot. And as a result I had to start seeing someone that could repair them so that they're in much better shape. I highly recommend this place! It's the only place I go to in Austin. read more

I have since moved to Hutto and still come to this nail salon (tried one in Hutto but they weren't as good as Tegan's). read more

I Love this place for pedicures! $35 for the whole deal includes hot wax, hot stones & salt scrub! I live in So Cal and visit my daughter here, so I time my visits when we need our toes done! UPDATE 8-1-18 My daughter and I went last week for pedicures. BAD is all I can say. We are wondering if they changed owners. Not very clean shop. Really hurt my toe cuticles. Did not speak any English and someone had to keep telling her what I wanted. Really poor polish job. I had to get my polish remover out at home to get polish off the ends and sides of my toes. Super lousy job with callus removing. read more

Amazing! I have found my home for nails. Tay is the best - the last place I went damaged my nail beds and I was in such pain the entire time they worked on my nails. As a newbie, I couldn't imagine this continuing for much longer. I searched Yelp and found Tegan's Nails...amazing reviews, so I thought I had to give them a try before I just gave up. I am so glad I did! Tay talked to me the whole time and didn't miss a beat when working on my nails. She did a better job than the last two people and NO PAIN! While these are acrylic, they are nice and thin and beautiful. I will definitely be coming back...a mani/pedi is looking very tempting! read more

Amazing! I've been to a hundred nails salons and this is by far the best. I won't ever go anywhere else. I got a pedicure and it lasted well over a month. That's a long time considering I'm hard on my feet. I bought my roommate a gift certificate and she is now a regular. Do yourself a favor and go! read more

Vivi did my nails she did an okay job simply because all I needed was a fill and polish change. Vivi is sweet but I will admit they don't know about ballerina nail shapes. Which is now my main concern I gotta find someone who does designs and ballerina nail shapes. Nonetheless this place is okay for the regular nail and the stiletto round kind with semi okay designs.. read more

This is my second time at Tegans nails. Don't be surprised by the non-descript decor the service is wonderful. I ordered a delux pedi and regular mani. I don't do gel or acrylic nails. My nail beds have become too weak over the years from those harsh products. Ann was my technician and the gentleman in my checking picture did the massage. It was so nice to have a quality mani-pedi where I wasn't say "ouch" but rather "ahhh" I had the same experience the first time which is why I went back. My friend did get gel on her mani-pedi as well as a face wax. She said the same. It was such a pleasant experience. I like my nails short because they grow quickly. The high quality of the products has made my mani polish last more than a week. This is big for me. Normally I don't get polish on my hands because by the same evening it has chipped and peeled off. Not here. Whenever I get a polish it usually lasts a week or longer. If you're looking for a nail salon try Ann at Tegans. read more

I really loved this nail salon! I went on a Wednesday at 5pm and they had plenty of staff available so I had no wait time. I got a mani/pedi and the asian lady who did my nails was very sweet. She took her time massaging my hands and feet which was greatly appreciated since I had been on my feet all day. It also wasn't super expensive like other places I have been here in Austin...it was less than $60 for both. Wow! I'll definitely be back :) read more

Scammy and dishonest. Been there before recently without a problem. 12 year old daughter was charged for an adult pedicure (they have kids menu) and when I protested, they said it was because she is considered an adult. In what world? When I continued to question this, suddenly no one could speak English. read more

This place is nearby and moderately priced. They also serve wine and their pedicure chair have a back massage machine. I'm almost sorry to move past the language barrier, though, because on rough days I could come in and not be expected to make conversation. I was unable to find out if they had nail wraps. However, they saw nothing odd about staring at me all of a sudden when I'd gone silent. Wild guess; she was a new employee. When I finally pulled out my punch card, I found I had ten stamps and got a discount. I was supposed to get a free manicure, but considering it was a surprise, I let it go. If would have been important, I would have gotten it in writing. read more

The staff who assisted me did a wonderful job, and followed directions for what I needed done. Same for my friend she wanted her nails short, and they kept confirming the length as they went. They offer drinks, I got a water and she got a tequila sunrise. They have liners for the foot tubs and I got the Aroma pedicure. This was great as it was very relaxing and the fresh cities used really gave it an aromatic experience. Hot towels and hot stone massage and I left feeling refreshed. I don't usually leave reviews, but my experience here was completely unacceptable and honestly one of the worst I've ever had at a nail salon. From the start, the technician filed my nails down so aggressively that my natural nails were thinned out to the point of damage. My nails were sensitive, burning, and compromised, but even after voicing my discomfort, they continued with the service like nothing was wrong. On top of that, the polish application was a disaster -- my nails were bubbling, the product wasn't curing correctly, and instead of fixing it, they just kept layering more polish over the mistakes. It made everything worse, and the burning sensation only intensified. What made it even worse was the way I was treated during the service. The staff were blatantly disrespectful -- talking about me in front of my face like I couldn't hear them, with zero professionalism or basic courtesy. The way they handled the entire situation showed a complete lack of care for their clients. And after all of that, they still charged me an outrageous amount for a service that not only left my nails damaged but also left me completely uncomfortable with how I was treated. Now I have to deal with the after-effects of my nails being severely weakened because of their carelessness. This was not just bad service -- it was harmful, unprofessional, and completely disrespectful. They're a charming, family-run salon that offers a wonderful customer experience. I received a gel pedicure and full set of acrylics this last visit. Pedicure used classpass credits but for the fresh acrylics and tip I paid $80. Ly is incredibly detail oriented. She was so meticulous about my nails and took the time to make sure I liked them throughout the process. I struggle with acrylics because techs I've used in the past have been aggresive and my nails/cuticles are sore for the first couple of days, but Ly is so talented and I didn't have this issue at all. It is clear that this family cares about their work and they take the time to make sure everyone leaves satisfied and I noticed this in their treatment of other clients there at the time as well. Because it is just the three of them, be prepared to spend some time there especially if its busy and for a fresh set of acrylics.
