This is for the Clintonville Ohio location. This is a very…read moresmall spec with only two , 2 top tables. It is ment to be a pick up and or delivery location. Decor is very nice for the small space. Decent ambiance given their restrictions. Ordering was straight forward and efficient. I ordered two 2 piece Chicken Dinners with two sides. The sides were Geeche Rice , Greens and Hush Puppies. All the side were excellent. The Chicken was outstanding. Perfect crunch. Perfect Doneness. Just the right spice to not distract from the flavor of the chicken. Now just an FYI The chicken is not really spicy. Not a bad thing since the Rice , Greens and Hush Puppies supply the spices. Interesting take on the dinner. They also have Catfish . Can't wait to try both the regular and the Blackened Version. Haven't had really good Catfish since we lived in East Texas and stopped on a Fish Camp restaurant on a Bayou in Louisiana before Shreveport. I highly recommend for really good Southern Style Fried Chicken! The two women at the Counter were pleasant and professional . Wii be returning. Thanks for the Great Food!

One of my favorite places to eat in Columbus! If that you love southern food, you'll love this…read morespot. It's tucked into Budd dairy food, hall, so tons of drinks and seat seating options throughout the restaurant. If they're crowded, it can be a little bit of a wait, but I've never waited more than 30 minutes, and it's well worth it. For food, you have to get the blackened catfish. It is so yummy. Their mac & cheese is delicious, their cornbread is cooked perfectly and melts in your mouth, and the french fries were good. Really you can't go wrong with any of these sides; it's a lot of southern staples. If I could, I'd order one of everything in terms of sides. Definitely will be back!

Three words: Country; Fried; Chicken. Wow…read more I decided to stop at this little local place while staying in town for the week based on some solid reviews (and the fact that I made some fried chicken of my own for my family last night but didn't really end up getting any before I left). I started out with a 101 Jungle Bird as I'm a rum drinker and liked the idea of a bourbon-forward one instead. I'll say that this was much more fruity than a Jungle Bird and without the bitterness (no Campari). It also didn't taste very strong but it definitely hit me pretty good. Definitely a tasty-but-dangerous one there. For food, I opted for the Country Fried Chicken. What a fantastic choice indeed. The breast was either butterflied or pounded flat but still thick enough to give a good bite. The outside was cooked to absolute perfection with a crunchy texture without being burned or underdone. The inside was tender and juicy. The whole piece was seasoned beautifully and that was even without any of the delicious white gravy. The Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes that accompanied were similarly well done with great flavor. And the cherry on top was that the portion size was PERFECT. Not a ton of carbs and things that left me feeling beyond full or guilty that I had a bunch of leftover food to likely toss. The seat at the bar was a great place to be. A handful of seats staring at nothing but a huge wall of bourbon. To your back are a series of large high tops and, unfortunately for me, on this night were full of a rather loud group. An unintended side effect of the close quarters but I'm sure not a regular thing. The place is otherwise quite cozy and comfortable and in line with the southern cooking motif. My bartender, Mike, was also very friendly and happy to chat a little about my travels and share our regional sports experiences. All in all, absolutely outstanding. Great food, wonderful staff, and an impressive drink selection. I'm looking forward to coming back here again.

Turn in at the light, and be careful about which driveway you pick- I think it's the second driveway, near a daycare, and it winds around back to the restaurant. You can see the place from James. Pretty busy at lunchtime, a few dine in and some carryout. Served cafeteria style, so you can see what you want, and drool over it. Well, there's a clear shield, but you know what I mean. I got smothered pork chops, since I hadn't had them forever. Meaty, tender, covered in gravy and onions. So so good, especially as comfort food on a cold day. You can also get them fried. Plenty of other things on the menu looked good. And all of the sides sounded good. I ended up getting one that was a mix of cabbage and greens, instead of getting the two separately, so that gave me space for another side. I went with mac & cheese. Sweetie's mom's mac is the best in the world. I'm not kidding. This is not quite that good, but is a very good homemade version, loaded with cheese, and baked in a big pan. Service was excellent. Prices are a bit steep, but good for the quantity and quality. Canned pop. Cheap plasticware. I was leery, but the pork chops were so tender that even a plastic knife pulled them apart easily. Hardly needed it. The place is not fancy inside. Old, but clean, a few booths and tables. You're there for the food, not the decor. Or, come in and pick it up and take it home. And have better silverware... I will definitely be back. I loved what I got, and was enticed by some of the other things.

Seat wherever you like" The restaurant is tiny, I'm guessing maybe 20-28 seats, really squeeze in, have like 6 bar seats Outdoor have many 5-6 tables, can seat another 14 people maybe. Menu is pretty basic, I'm here for the steak and eggs, show me some steak and eggs, medium rare please!! Waited for a good 20 minutes, normally when I'm in a diner, food ready 10 mins or less, but is all good, just saying. Finally, is here, steak is thin, it was medium part of it and well done on the other part, but eggs and harsh brown is great. Over all for the food I'm giving it 80 out of 100 Services can be a little better, I don't know maybe I'm not a regular there, but seem like they smiling and laughing with all other regular customers, once again is all good I'm still giving it 5 stars, because the vibe is great, supporting local business!

Best seafood boil I've had in Columbus!…read more Kai's Crab Boil is hands down one of my favorite seafood spots in Columbus. The gumbo is fantastic and honestly some of the most authentic I've had here in Columbus. It's packed with flavor and really stands out. Their shrimp and crab with the garlic butter sauce at a medium heat level is absolutely incredible. The seasoning and spice are perfect, and paired with their cornbread... OMG It's SO good! The service was great, and the ambiance was really nice too. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. If you're looking for a seafood boil with authentic Cajun/Creole flavors, I definitely recommend Kai's. Everything we had was delicious, and I can't wait to go back!

Their kindness and compassion meant more to me than they could ever know. Kay was my server and made me feel welcomed and cared for. JuJu, even while off the clock, took time to offer kindness and encouragement that truly touched my heart. Chef Carter also helped make this experience special. Together, they made me feel seen, respected, and comfortable during a difficult time in my life. I hope management recognizes these three for the care they show their guests. Their actions made a lasting difference to me. I will absolutely be back, and I definitely recommend this restaurant. She made a reservation for us and guaranteed we would be seated. By the time we got there they were slammed but she kept her word and our table was waiting! And they remained so professional and pleasant even though you could tell they were being stretched. Can't say enough about how wonderful they were, especially our waitress. The food was very good. Pleased that everything was well seasoned. Only problem with the fried chickens bowl was the breast was dry. It's hard to deliver one that's not if it's not brined first. I'd highly recommend they do that. Since the breast is the only part of the bird I eat, it's what I do to mine before cooking. Just posted a review where the only problem I had with the restaurant was the cocktails and dessert and I have to say the same for here too. I got what I think was called the Sexy Soul and it tasted like flat flavored seltzer water. Not sure if there was any alcohol, or flavor, in it at all. The only reason why I didn't send it back was because I was with church people and probably wasn't supposed to get it anyway. And what's up with restaurants being out of desserts? The only two I wanted, the pound cake and chocolate cake, they were out of. Two major misses for me But overall, I do recommend!
