Donut LUV at first sight! All the donuts are fresh (no matter what time of day) and priced reasonably. The hidden gem of this place is their ability to make fresh squeezed juices AND real fruit smoothies. It's soooo rare to find a place that can do both, let alone a donut shop! The ladies that work there are quick with each order and super kind! The parking is shared with other businesses, but it never gets too busy. They accept cash, card, and Apple Pay. The only place of improvement would be the cleanliness of the establishment. It has a retro feel to the design, which makes me feel like I'm back in the 90s as a kid waiting for my school bus to arrive.

This is a hole in the wall but great spot. They make great and fresh smoothies that are AFFORDABLE and their croissant sandwhiches are soooo delicious the owners care about their customers and provide great service. If you live in the area it's great for breakfast!!

I was looking for a good croissant sandwich. Jumped on yelp to see if I could find a great donut shop. Tee's donuts pop up as one of the top locations. As it should be. Great quality sandwich with fresh products. You could see them using fresh ingredients in the smoothies and in the sandwiches, behind the counter. For my second item I just wanted egg and avocado in a bagel. Instead of charging me a whole avocado bagel, the employee charge me separately. Making my total 4 dollars cheaper. I really appreciated that. Will, definitely come back and try one of the beverages I saw being made freshly. The building itself is pretty old. When walking into the establishment you can definitely tell this place needs a paint job to brighten up the place. Nothing to do with the quality of the food. Just a personal opinion about making the place a brighter, which would bring a cleaner feel to it. Overall, morning people should definitely give this donut shop a try.

i've been to this location previously and had great experiences, but unfortunately today was not the same. I called in my order (as usual) asking for "two #20's the turkey sandwich one with no tomato." when I arrive they let me know they made the wrong sandwich because they misheard me. no big deal i'm okay with waiting things happen! i paid, left a tip and went on my way. i get home to find that both have no tomato and they are also missing the onions that usually are inside. my lettuce seen here was brown/black and old. I understand everyone is going through some tough times rn but if i'm paying full price for my meal I expect all the ingredients to be included and for it to be at least decent quality. i was too disgusted by the lettuce so i didn't finish my sandwich. I most definitely will NOT be returning.

Thought I'd drop in for some coffee. Checked the menu and noticed there was "flavored coffee" but when inquired about it, I was told it was just flavored creamer. Regular medium coffee that you help yourself to costed $1.35. It wasn't a day to treat myself nor did I need a lunch for the office but I did see they have pretty good looking chocolate filled croissants for $1.30 and croissant sandwiches which I may come back and try. I also noticed some cut up bananas and oranges in the back. I love me some fresh fruit juices or smoothies and they happen to serve those so I definitely will come back.

A very welcoming vibe upon entry, we were greeted by a friendly couple who answered our questions about popular drink flavors. We decided to go with a Hot Cinnamon Dulce Latte and an Iced Blueberry Lavender Latte. While waiting, there were plenty of chairs, tables, a comfy couch and even a bar area to sit and relax. Tons of board games, books and wonderfully mellow music helps make the experience feel comforting and inviting. Our drinks were prepared quickly and shouted at the coffee bar for pickup. The presentation was great, but the flavors, out of this world! The Cinnamon Dulce Latte was OUTSTANDING. So good, in fact, that my girlfriend stole it from me! Not to worry, her Blueberry Lavender Latte was also top-notch, with a smooth, not-to-sweet flavor combination. Friendly staff (which comes with occasional karaoke renditions from the Bluetooth speakers), a chill vibe and outstanding drinks make this a top spot in the area for hardcore coffee lovers. Check them out!

Ordered and it didn't take long at all to get it. Did they even add espresso? Who knows because the latte was weak. It barely had any hint of coffee. I asked if the latte was sweet and they said it wasn't. After the first sip I could just taste all sweetness no espresso. Recreational coffee do you guys add espresso to the lattes? Maybe I should have ordered something else not sure.

I honestly have to say these were some of the best donuts I've ever had. The texture was incredible. The outside had this light, delicate crunch while the inside stayed soft and fresh. The chocolate glaze had excellent flavor and wasn't overly sweet or artificial tasting like a lot of donut shops. I also ordered the PB&J donut and happily waited in the parking lot for about 20 minutes while they made it fresh. Completely worth the wait. Everything tasted fresh, balanced, and really well made. Overall, easily a 9.5/10 for me. Definitely coming back.

At Long Beach's Sweet Retreat Donuts, that meant limited-edition experimental donut varieties (mostly with tropical flavor profiles), as well as a reliable vegan donut lineup. Clearly, Sweet Retreat has been doing something right, as it's been a Pacific Coast Highway favorite for a decade. Over the years, it has garnered recognition from plenty of local news outlets, from Eater LA to LAist. The cramped strip mall is more eye-catching for its reptile supply store rather than its donut shop. Inside the shop, the expansive, donut-themed cartoon mural to the right immediately makes a statement. Houseplants are plentiful across the otherwise undecorated, whitewashed walls. Donuts are organized on trays by price, with the charge doodled directly onto the glass with a white marker. Ambient noise from the television is drowned out by chattering customers and the buzzing coffee machine. During the summer months, the AC-less shop feels tropically balmy. My partner and I arrived at Sweet Retreat late one Sunday morning, and the shop still boasted a steady stream of customers. By the time of our visit, the remaining selection was regrettably slim -- beyond the standard fare, the most unique donuts sported either candy coating or tropical frosting. We opted for a hibiscus-frosted raised donut and an apple fritter. The former had an excellent donut base, and the hibiscus frosting was floral and tropical (albiet I would have enjoyed a more punchy flavor). Meanwhile, the apple fritter fell on the cinnamon-y side, heavily doused in glaze so that each bite (even the edges) melted in your mouth; Sweet Retreat's rendition was one of my favorites in Greater LA. Our Vietnamese iced coffee was strong and sugary, but nothing more memorable than peer coffeeshops. The service was efficient, and our two donuts cost a reasonable $5 (even frill-free mom-and-pop shops charge in this range nowadays). The selection was sorely lacking, but Sweet Retreat more than made up for that with its high quality and reasonable prices. This bakery may not warrant a dedicated trip out of the way, but it is sure to deliver a satisfying treat if you're already in the neighborhood.

I left this place running for my car…read more The location is in a rough area of town, so while the donuts were edible, I felt compelled to issue a quick heads up warning for any unsuspecting newcomers. As I entered the parking lot I witnessed a lady hanging out of the window of a car missing a rear bumper, cursing at a minivan that looked like it had recently been involved in a series of hit-and-run crimes. I'm unclear what occurred before I got there, but kept my head down and quickly parked and scurried inside. The entrance had cardboard on the ground laid out like some sort of Oscar the Grouch red carpet. There were two people sitting at the middle two tables with portable shopping carts filled with assorted belongings. The interior matched the rest of neighborhood with random stuff laid out on counter tops, and a general dirty feeling that made me consider whether I wanted to buy food here, but I was already inside. There was a single woman working the counter. She was polite and matter of fact. I had promised my kids donuts, so I ordered my box to go. While she used appropriate tongs to put them in the box, she didn't bother to fully close or seal the box. Just looking to get out of there as quickly as possible, I headed immediately back to my car but was followed by an unknown man shouting at me asking if I could spare a dollar. I quickly fidgeted for my keys and pulled the door closed and locked it behind me. This was at 9am. I cannot imagine this place late at night. The donuts were basic and not overly sweet, more of a fried bread. My kids ate a few bites of each but it wasn't worth the stress of getting them.
