They had incredible patience and understanding, but they were also assertive in getting things done. Our cat loved her experience at Evergreen Cat Lodge. She is normally a fussier older cat, but every time we watched her in the webcam she looked so happy. It was such a nice touch from the staff to provide us a webcam link so we could always check in on our girl while we were away for vacation. Our cat had an accident at one point. The staff at Evergreen Cat Lodge handled it professionally and with total assertion. This is a no-nonsense operation. Your cat couldn't be in better hands. I was able to relax throughout my entire vacation knowing my cat was getting the best attention. I highly recommend these kind folks. I'll be using their services every time I'm out of town now.

At the time our kitty had undergone unexpected surgery and was on strict ground rest. The Evergeen Cat Lodge was amazing and came up with a solution to provide our little guy excellent care while facilitating his special needs. We are extremely thankful for the Evergreen Cat Lodge and for the help and care they provided during this difficult time. We boarded both of our cats again over Christmas and had a wonderful experience. The staff is kind and caring and works so hard to meet your cat's special needs. The facilities are one of a kind and very clean. I love being able to check in on them through the web cameras! I can't recommend the Evergreen Cat Lodge enough! When our babies are there we know they are in great hands!

So I have been purchasing these wands annually for a few years now and now that I have become full-time cat-sitter, I regularly shop here for the feather wands and the super fresh From the Fields catnip that the cats go crazy for! If your pup is in need of a harness or collar, you can try it on before purchasing. My favorite "go to" treats are the freeze dried lamb lung which they sell in bulk and the "Pet Popcorn" that is made in Evergreen, CO and comes in multiple flavors such as Tilapia, Salmon, Beef Liver, and Bison Liver. Staff are always informative and helpful about the products when I need it. Whenever I'm in a bind with a personal or pet problem, they've had my back. When my new dog, a husky mix, needed puzzles to keep him busy, they helped me choose a good fit for him. When I needed to buy pet food for dog boarding, and found myself short on time, they let me come in a few minutes past closing to do the pickup. When I hurt my shoulder, they helped me carry my big bags of dog food to my car down the block (parking can be an issue when it's the dinner rush for the nearby restaurants). Overall, this unassuming neighborhood store is worth supporting.

Everything was clean, orderly and ready for us to wash our fluffy monster. Said fluffy monster is afraid of the groomer but we were able to wash, dry, and brush her at Paws 'n' Play without any issue. For the amount of fluff we left behind, $18 was a steal. Her groomer including tip is around $100. Since our dog was so good and this place is GREAT, we impulse bought a cookie to go and some calming chews to help combat fear of fireworks. I'm hoping they help but mostly I'm so happy to not have to clean up the mess from my floof, not have to smell wet dog for hours, and save 4xs what I pay taking her to a groomer.

Planet Pethood is a nice little pet food store at 43rd & Tennyson, right next door to Wine Jesters…read more(the new little wine shop in the neighborhood). The store has various brands and types of pet food, treats, and toys. She also has a few adoptable cats and dogs that were obviously given up by their uncaring people parents. The owner is a vet tech and a vegetarian, and she seems to care deeply about animals. The shop is not as big or as fancy as Mouthfuls pet boutique down the street but it carries the dog food we buy. Nature's Variety is a great natural dry dog food. Our dog loves all the flavors... and while it is more expensive than grocery store dog food, because the food has less cheap "fillers", dogs actually eat less than they would of other "cheaper" brands. You can view animals available for adoption- usually cats or small dogs- every day during store hours. The store owner describes Planet Pethood as, "a politically correct pet store." I can't justify giving any less than four stars to a cute shoppette that combines support for pet adoption and rescue with a fairly nice selection of foods, treats, toys, leashes, and everything you need for your dog or cat; and Planet Pethood fully deserves the four stars it's getting. I do, however, have some minor gripes. For starters, both the store itself and the website are unclear on exactly what Planet Pethood's involvement with Planned Pethood, the low-cost vet down the street, is. Nowhere can I find an actual percentage donated to a specific organization, and as a rescue person that sets off a serious case of nerves. The website describes the store owner as having her own rescue- but where is the name, the 501(c)3 status, the official website? Also many of the links point to Planned Pethood, but nowhere does the store owner declare an official affiliation. My spidey senses would be beeping if it weren't for the clear support of rescues via adoptable animals in store. I'd love to know if this store donates its profits, and if so, what percentage and TO WHOM; also, how closely, exactly, it is related to Planned Pethood. Second, I have a few snipes to take at the dog food selection. Canidae and Timber Wolf are excellent choices, but where is Innova Evo? I wanted a bag of Innova Evo Red Meat, but left empty handed because it doesn't appear to be on the shelves. And Avo Derm? It uses ground corn in several formulas- NOT exactly up to my pet food standards. Breeder's Choice is similarly well packaged but lacking in actual quality. However, for the slightly less picky than myself, Planet Pethood seems to be a nice pet supply store with many good choices and a true desire to support rescue and adoption.
