There was also a children's section to explore besides the main part of the shop that was busting with interesting stuff at affordable prices. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Their passion for the shop glowed and they had time to chat with us. There's street parking and close to walking distance of other shops and restaurants. They a Halloween display out. I had some extra time before my flight and wanted to see if there was anything to kill a short amount of time in the Denver area. On a whim, I decided to see if I can find any Sylvanian Families/Calico Critters on hand at any of the shops and lo and behold, Google Maps told me that Talulah Jones had some and I went to double check on their social media account and they do! The shop is located in downtown Denver and is fairly easy to find from the gold sign front, the art of the animals having tea time outside, and just from the cute set up of the goods they have in the storefront. I was immediately welcomed when I stepped in and I say this with the utmost praise, but it's a cute, cluttered, maximalist shop! Piled from the ground up and onto the walls are super cute decor, knick knacks, toys and so much more. Perfumes, greetings cards, stickers, blind boxes, clothing for toddlers and infants, stuffed animals, unique hair clips and trinkets, felted ornaments, cuckoo clocks, clothes for adults, and so, so much more. If you're a child you can definitely spend hours in here and even as an adult shopping for a gift for a child or yourself, you'll spend a good chunk of time looking through their wares as well. I believe they are quite popular for their Jellycat plushies as I heard people ordering and inquiring about them on the phone and saw some customers purchase some. I managed to find my Calico Critters on a tall shelf but a staff was able to assist me. I got the Walnut Squirrel Family which is my favorite family (not in stock on their official online shop during this time and I didn't want to pay import taxes) and they had the Happy Christmas Family which I believe was only released in the UK/Japan, so I can't even find this one online on the official shop. Score! I also got some cute puffy stickers. For bypassing the tariffs and shipping, I think Talulah Jones is a fair, affordable place, at least to get Calico Critters. They posted on their social media about a needoh drop, obviously with the high demand people are going to go for needohs. instead of being excited about the business they are about to receive the owner instead being irritated, quoted "if you're here for needohs maybe wonder around we have other things" in a pretty snarky attitude and even whispered to employees that people are always here for needohs and complaining about it. if you don't want people there for just needohs, don't publicly post it. People are happy to support small boutiques, but when you're complaining and being upset about it, people aren't going to support. read more

They have great products. But, customer service was very poor. I went in for needohs and there were other people there going after a video was posted of a needoh drop. The owner then complained about how people were there for needohs and quoted "if you are here for needohs you should wander around" with a nasty attitude. Also, she complained to fellow employees about how people only come in for needohs. Don't sell certain items or post videos about them if you are unhappy about it. read more

Talulah is my go-to for baby showers and birthday parties. I always take advantage of their cute cards and gift wrapping, and their staff are helpful and great with kids. There is so much stuff packed into this tiny shop! They have every kind of stuffed animal under the sun, books, arts & crafts, and so many different toys. (They also have Calico Critters, if you're a collector.) Seriously, though, this store is like a wonderland. My little one always finds things I'd never notice. Other toy stores just don't compare. Parking can be a trick since it's street-only, but if you go during a weekday you can usually get a spot right out front. Saturdays are very busy! What an amazing local shop! The sales humans were so helpful, kind, and clearly loved being there. The place is packed with all kinds of great treasures ranging from less than a dollar to hundreds. You are sure to find something for everyone on your gift list. We I found shower bombs which is so cool for those of us her do not like baths. At $6 each they are a fun small gift idea. I'm honestly super bummed. I used to come here all the time to get my friends and family gifts and have always appreciated the kind staff who have helped me out. I recently went in for mother's day shopping, carrying a small canvas bag and after shopping for five minutes I was approached by an older woman and asked to put my bag behind the cash register because of a no bag policy. I tried to explain that I have been here recently with the same bag and I have never had an issue, and I didn't feel comfortable leaving my bag behind the register. I saw a couple other people with fairly larger purses than what my canvas bag was, and as someone who doesn't use a purse and instead uses a canvas bag, I find this policy incredibly silly for bags that aren't big backpacks and inconsistency used. The older woman who was working there made me feel profiled and singled out. I'm not sure what created the issue for me, as there were women with large purses shopping with their bags on their arms. I'm not trying to blame it on profiling but I am a brown person with an alt style and fairly different looking compared to the other customers in the shop. I am super disappointed and will not be returning to Tallulah Jones. read more

Talulah Jones has become my go to place for gifts over the years. It's a fun place to shop for kids in particular, as it has a veritable zoo of stuffed animals of all kinds and sizes. There are fun arts & crafts, games, books and absolutely the cutest clothing. There are also great host gifts for the kitchen enthusiast, fashionista, or writer, and the front window always rotates with fun seasonable items as well. It's a great place to go if you're feeling stuck on ideas, as there's always something perfectly thoughtful to be had. It can be a bit overwhelming, as it is a well-stocked small space, but don't be shy about asking for help. Talulah is dangerous. It doesn't matter what I go in looking for, I always find whatever that is and then some. I went this past weekend looking for gifts for a friend who's been feeling down, and found some gorgeous tea, a face mask, and then some cute cards for other people and a cool kiddo gift for a friend's little. The place is on the smaller side but it's jam-packed with cool toys and games and stuff for all ages. Oh my this store! Absolute gem, so many good finds. Every inch of the store is adorned with cool stuff, from unique kids toys like dragon stuffed animals and cactus-shaped baby teethers, to kitchen goods and stationary galore (Rifle Paper included!) I picked up some dinosaur stickers (for the dinosaur-obsessed niece) and some Sugarfina champagne gummy bears (for me because why not). But I could have easily spent a lot more, they had so many unique things. I wasn't a fan of the women's clothes section, mostly just vintage stuff that wasn't my style. But they had the absolute cutest (!) little girl's dresses. I'm still kicking myself for not buying one of them. Also, they have finches as pets, so I don't think you could get a more unique or charming shop than that. I also liked that they had Death Cab for Cutie playing in the background. Half of the store is dedicated to children's clothes and toys for every age. It's filled with unique gifts and clothes. There is a special area just for Christmas decorations and gifts. It seems like Talulah Jones really shines in its offerings for kids, though -- there are all kinds of interesting toys and doo-dads that made me wish they were around when I was a kid! Lots of educational-but-fun offerings and a great variety of creative stuffed animals. I also noticed that there was a whole spinner full of fun clothes for babies and toddlers that were labeled "NB," which I assume means non-binary, and any business that is inclusive in its offerings for children gets a bazillion stars in my book. What an interesting place! I have driven past this store for ages and finally dropped in to avoid rush hour one day, and I was glad that I did. Whose-its and whats-its galore. You want thing-a-mabobs? This is your stop. What kind of shop is it? I don't know. They've got some clothing, some ballet shoes (I think), a whole heap of baby things, seasonal items, stuff you'll never see anywhere else, candles, lotions and smellgoods, candies, jewlery, etc... I was in town for some business and stopped by this shop for some Christmas presents and WOW was it cool. They don't have a AAA, AAAA, D, or C battery in the place...instead it is full of interesting NON ELECTRONIC toys, dolls, puzzles, jewelry and much more for all ages. The ladies were so helpful in recommending gifts for certain people and they even shipped all of the stuff home to me in South Carolina so that I didn't have to haul it on the plane!
