The store is tiny but they pack a TON in for babies and kids, along with a few special pieces for parents including matching sets for kids and adults. The clothes are just my style so it was hard to resist buying a bunch for my preschooler and baby. I found most items to be $50+ but you can tell the quality is there and your child will definitely be dressed in something unique! There are a bunch of other giftable items like books, toys and baby accessories. I'll totally be making this a go-to stop the next baby shower I'm invited to and am already telling all my friends about it! January 2025 (happy new year!), this so-called "professional" hair establishment decided to transform a routine children's haircut into a dramatic medical investigation worthy of a WebMD fever dream. --The Misdiagnosis Heard 'Round the Playground-- Picture an innocent 6 year-old, sitting peacefully in the salon chair, when suddenly - PLOT TWIST - the stylist transforms into an amateur epidemiologist. With the dramatic flair of a daytime soap opera doctor, she declares: "OH MY GOODNESS, YOUR CHILD HAS LICE!" Spoiler alert: No. They. Did. Not. The Forensic Evidence (aka Total Nonsense): dried white hair gel (come to find out louse eggs are brown not white) so way off... What followed was a masterclass in medical hysteria: * Dramatic gasping * Frantic scalp examination * Completely incorrect diagnosis The "evidence" for this lice declaration? A few small specks of dried hair product and some remnant my little pony glitter residue. what was CLEARLY (even to me who had not yet completed my masterclass in parasitology) NOT LICE, now had the psycho salon in hysteria. Congratulations, Lice Buster- you've successfully turned a haircut into a horror movie. The Aftermath: Parental Panic and Professional Embarrassment (for them) The parents were sent home with: * Unnecessary panic * a delousing mission * A traumatized 6year old with a false positive Coody diagnosis The Kicker When a REAL medical professional later confirmed ZERO evidence of lice, the salon's response was basically a masterclass in "whoopsie-daisy" shoulder shrugging and how NOT to handle a client concern. The chief medical resident/mANaGeR (let's call it "the Dana") took on the bedside manner of a crocodile and an "I don't give $hit" attitude I haven't seen since my time in NYC. When I noted that was dissatisfied with her response I was basically told to pound sand and keep me and my lousy parasitic passengers away from their shop.... They actually used to have a smaller location that was in the same shopping center but moved to this bigger location probably about a year ago. So much variety of options. Lots of time you can get stuff never used! Last time I came here I got a brand-new diaper genie! They have a lot more items than you would expect. For instance, they even had maternity clothes which is something that is not always easy to shop for. Definitely recommend coming here for everything kid and baby related! Sadly, this place is in a downward spiral. They create a certain kind of buying experience that…read moremost people aren't willing to put up with unless they are desperate to sell their clothes. Then you just get cheap brands in poor condition in the store. Which in turn affects the people who are willing to shop and sell their clothes here. And so downwards spiral continues. And at the same time, while their clothes are getting worse, their prices are getting higher. It's sad to see because this used to be such a great place to find certain items, like holiday dresses. Not anymore . To fix this downward spiral, they need to start with getting good sellers back in. When you have to bring in one bin at a time and every bin requires two visits to the store, it's such a pain. If I have five bins of high-quality children's clothing, it would take 10 visits to the store to sell them!!!! I recommend making it possible to sell by appointment, or some sort of "save my place in line" kind of thing, so somebody with multiple bins can get it all done at once. Also, don't require them to come back. Just donate the stuff they don't want. Fix those two things and you'll have much better inventory than a hurry.
