The atmosphere is great & the restaurant was clean & nicely remodeled. Our table had the fried pickles appetizer, jalapeño pineapple burger, southwest chicken sandwich, and Cleveland St salad. Everything was very good, except for the southwest chicken sandwich. It was kinda meh and not full of a lot of flavor. Although, the steak fries that came with the sandwich were great! Our service was excellent & the wait time was less than 15 minutes at 6:45 PM. We thought we would try this new place out, so glad we did! We got the fried pickles.. AMAZING! Kale salad, delicious! And then shared the before and after burger which has so many flavors it will blow your tastebuds! And the avocado chicken sandwich which was also great! TED's was everything I'd hoped it would be. The menu was diverse. The service was great. The environment was relaxed and comfortable. I had he salmon blt (minus the bacon) with crispy onions for the side. It was delicious!!! My husband had the club sandwich with fries for the side and loved it! We shared the brownie for dessert and it was the perfect end to our meal. We left stuffed! We can't wait to go back! We had a group of six, three had burritos, three had burgers. The burritos were very different from traditional burritos and were not loved by any of the three that had them. The three burgers were okay, but they all came out the same time and one was still very red inside, one was a little red, and one was cooked through. (We we not asked how we wanted them cooked).The burgers came out about five minutes before the burritos so the burger eaters were almost done before the burritos came out. It is also probably the LOUDEST eatery I have ever been in. Conversation was difficult. Will not go back. read more

I went in for the first time open minded despite the egotistical sign out front. Business lunch on a Monday. For the good part, it was clean and the service was good. However, I was not impressed by the decor or the food. Not sure what the design was trying for, but it's kind of a nautical shabby sheek feel. Maybe if it was on the water it would make more sense? The over abundance of wood on the wall and cement floor really reverberates the sound and for lunch on a Monday, we struggled to understand each other at times. Can't imagine what the sound is like at dinner. Any place worth it's salt has a good basic burger, and you can typically tell a lot about a place from that burger. Every burger offering here appears to be trying to hard. So I moved onto something more complicated and tried the salmon blt and a cup of the gumbo. Sandwich was put together well, but bread was too heavy and I couldn't get thru it all, and salmon was a little fishy, which means it was probably a little on the dated side. Gumbo was more of a crushed flavorless tomato soup and I had to mention to my lunch guests that I got one small piece of meat in the whole cup. The menu is all over the place and maybe thats by design? Over time, maybe they will settle into some sort of flow or theme, but right now it's still vic's to me and just another subpar restaurant that we didn't need. read more

Have been here twice and honestly I am not too impressed! First time I went I ordered the White Fish Po-boy, had high expectations but was presented with nothing but a mess. Most of what was stuffed into the hoagie bun was falling out by the time it hit the table and was nearly impossible to eat by hand. The bread was tasteless and and the bacon too burnt and too chewy and the overall description did not match what was presented to me. Now enough about food lets talk about service. Also as soon as I walked in I saw about four hosts and hostesses with their backs turned to us talking amongst each other and I watched as they scurried away as soon as I opened the door, which isn't a problem but I feel like they could have been at least trying to look busy or do some sort of work! Came as a party of 6 on a Thursday night and they were able to get us right in which was nice. However, that was the best part of the night. The quality of the food was not worth the price. The only pasta option they had tasted like the noodles were over cooked and then the $4 to add chicken was a small portion of shredded chicken that looked like it came out of a can with little flavor to it. The brisket sandwich was very fatty and if you order it ask for light mustard as it was very overpowering. The best menu item would have to be the chicken wings, those get 5 stars, and the fries but a side of fries was $4 and it's not a large portion. The dessert was so frozen you had to use a knife to cut through it.. even a scoop of ice cream. It was also very loud. Hard to hear the server or the people at our own table. read more

We wanted to try this restaurant since it is new since last summer. We had a great meal. Two of us had burgers which were very tasty. I had a small house salad with brisket on top. It was really good brisket! The restaurant is clean and updated with a modern decor. We ate at 4 pm so it was an understandably slow time. But there is lots of room for big parities. This place has a good selection of burgers, sandwiches, salads and starters. Beer menu has a good mix of craft, mainstream and local beers. If you're into wine, they have the staples. They have several good bourbons available for an after dinner sip. Overall, prices are reasonable and the food is well prepared. Hot foods are served at the right temperature, and likewise with cold dishes. The atmosphere is likable... think rustic meets industrial. The only complaints so far... the seating looks good, but isn't comfortable. If one is expected to Talk, Eat, and Drink for more than an hour, the chairs really need to have the backrests fixed... though they look good, they are definitely not made for comfort. read more

We were looking for a place to take our family for son's b-day (8 people) after a wrestling tournament in GH and ended up bringing some of our team of wrestlers & parents as well (20+ people). They accommodated all of us and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The appetizers and entrees were delicious and the menu had a lot of variety. The menu is easy to read and not overburdened with too many selections ( though, since the owner is known for his pizza establishment, I would like to be able to get a pizza there if I wanted one.)They also have a great selection of beers from breweries in the area. Went to Ted's for the first time last night and LOVED it! Took the family and everything was great! I had a burger, the kids had pasta and a brisket sandwich and my husband had The veggie burrito. Everything was delicious. Love the atmosphere and the open kitchen, reasonably priced and a great addition to the restaurants in Spring Lake. Can't wait to go back Monday for chili dogs. I will give three stars for the variety. Ted's started out better, but in some aspects has dialed it back a bit. They do offer a nice variety of foods for just about everyone. Nice that they offer gluten free options, and wish they expanded on that. I feel their strongpoint is the typical burger-type plates. Nice if that is what you eat. The salmon with brown rice and tomato-forward "salsa" was pretty ok, but the next time I went, I riffed on it, because I didn't like the overpowering taste of the tomato with salmon, and had a better idea. Three times I have asked for the same order, and every time, the order has come to me differently, and worse each time. On top of that, the pieces of salmon have gotten smaller and smaller. And smaller. I really wish the chefs could understand the order and get it right. I mean -- I'm trying to give them our business. My guest ordered the half pound of shrimp, and she got over-breaded shrimp that could be found in a frozen section of Meijer, with fries. And it cost $15. That is pretty much a rip-off. Sorry, Ted -- you can do better. read more

I know it's Saturday, I know it's a new restaurant with probably new wait staff, BUT....as busy as it was, we were seated right away, just two of us. The tables for two are so close to each other that we felt like we were in the conversation of the couple next to us...that is IF we could have heard anything. It was so loud in the restaurant that it was almost impossible to talk across the table. We love Fricanos in Muskegon and were hoping TED's would be just as good. The waitress who delivered the beer to the next table delivered it holding the rim of the glass...I have seen more waitresses do this lately and I don't care to drink where your fingers have been, especially when I don't know where they have been. PLEASSE, Ted teach the wait staff to deliver drinks to the table with their hands around the bottom half of the glass. We had the onions and they were not even warm..the taste was good but most were so crumbly they had to be eaten with a fork. We both had burgers ....why do they have to be so huge that there is no way my mouth will go around the bun, thus I have to take it apart to eat and that defeats the purpose of the good stuff you put in the bun. I agree with the above review that said there should have been a manager circulating to check that things are being done right. Don't think we will be back anytime soon..especially on a Saturday night. read more
