The small dining space is more cramped than quaint, but the neat decor and hipster atmosphere makes up for it. The mason jars used for glasses are a fun touch and the bar seating mixes things up a bit. The restaurant serves better as a to-go option due to the limited seating, but if you decide to dine-in, you'll have a cozy experience. I was willing to try the chicken taco, cornbread and beans. I went with the brisket burrito later and we shared a deep-fried treat, Tostones & Chimichurri. Later i had a side of the baked beans. The chicken tacos were tangy and sweet; the brisket burrito was enormous - full of flavor - and filling; and the sides were a nice compliment. I didn't love the Tostones. They are hipster fusions that this Hispanic would gladly eat again. Ugh, I want to love this restaurant after having lunch here 2 weeks ago. Went on a taco Tuesday so had 3 different tacos for price of 2. Blackened shrimp and Pork butt were my faves. However, I went for dinner the next week (about 6:30 on a Wednesday) and it wasn't as good. Shrimp taco had different things in it...a strange pickled fruit that I couldn't identify. And pork and brisket were cold. Has the meat been sitting around since they open? Should have at least made an attempt to heat them up. The restaurant was also a mess...bits of food on every surface and food all over the floor. When you let customers see the kitchen/food prep area you really need to keep it clean. If that was my first time entering the business I probably would have walked out. read more

The jackfruit nachos were fantastic and the falafel taco and burritos were a brilliant fusion of Middle Eastern cuisine and Mexican cuisine. This spot smelled soooooo frickin' good when we walked in the door, I nearly jumped over the counter to trace the origins of the smoky aroma! Order at the counter, but due to COVID-19 you are either eating outside on their small side patio or taking the food to-go. We opted for an open table outside. My wife was in need of a salad (is that really a thing?) but also ordered a single taco (on special). I ordered a beef brisket quesadilla and we adjourned to the out-of-doors to await our bounty. My wife's Fall salad was an unusual mix of spinach, brussels sprouts, squash, black beans and pickled onions. This mix was topped with feta cheese and a vinaigrette dressing providing an excellent tang to the mixture. She also claimed her taco in a soft, warm flour tortilla shell was quite nice. My beef brisket quesadilla was a fantastic blend of cheeses, poblano peppers, caramelized onions, moist shredded brisket smothered in a chimichurri sauce wrapped in a grilled tortilla. Honestly, I could not eat this fast enough but tried to slow down and savor the flavor combination because it was so rock star. Not your usual taco/burrito place. It wasn't what we had originally anticipated when we looked for "tacos", but everything sounded interesting, especially their vegetarian/vegan dishes. We ordered multiple things, just to try them out. Costs more than a regular taco but everything was delicious! Apparently, their menu changes a bit with the seasons. You walk in the amazing smell of BBQ greets you like a warm hug. The menu is colorful and user friendly. I would like to note they do cater to vegans as well! Drink selection was about standard for a BBQ joint, nothing out of the ordinary and you best believe I was getting a Jarittos. Seating is minimal, but they work with the space provided as efficiently as they could. I only ordered the brisket taco, so my review is strictly on the tacos alone. I would highly recommend other menu items as they all look as delicious as they look. Let's dive into my experience with these brisket tacos! So appearance off the bat, it looks good. It has nice colors and the salsa verde pops with the yellow of the tostones. If you taste the salsa verde alone, it is citrus notes and a nice sweet undertones. The brisket was good, but I was expecting more of a traditional strip of brisket. The meat was flavorful but it has the consistency of pulled pork with the shredded strands and chunks I got. I would say my two biggest gripes are as follows: -The brisket was not what I was expecting in terms of brisket -The tostones were bulky and hard to work around, it's hard to fold a taco around it ON THE FLIP SIDE: -Total flavor profile is delicious and the salsa verde sauce is complimentary -The tostones is are good and adds a different texture to the taco, I would have just cut them in half to make them taco better -Tacos are finger food, these portions were perfect, and did not spill or fall out. Blueberry Harvest kombucha. Refreshing and somehow only 6g of sugar. The man working behind the register today who had gauges was an absolute gem. He helped us decide among the full range of the menu and brought our order out to the car. We were just inside for a moment, but everyone was wearing a mask and the restaurant was clean (aside from some heavy smoke, assuming they'd just started up a smoker or grill). They have picnic tables under a covered awning for eating outside and street parking was easy. We ate in the car since it was snowing. They forgot our hot sauces and napkins, but no big deal. Found their food truck at the Baker Lumber Show and had to give it a shot. The employee was very friendly and helpful when it came to deciding what we wanted. We ended up ordering a full order of nachos as well as a pork taco. The taco was fantastic but it was pretty messy with a lot of liquid from the meat not being drained. The pineapple salsa was great and tied the taco together for me. The nachos were great as well but I'm not sure if they were worth the $10 because they weren't that big. They were definitely twice the size of the half order, but still not a huge plate of nachos to share. Overall, definitely want to try their restaurant but the food truck was great. read more

The dining area is smaller than a typical restaurant, but it feels like a place of comfort.
