So glad we found Baja grill. My group needed some tex-mex comfort food. Once we arrived a flood of lunch-goers came in, assuring us we made the right decision for lunch. Options are plentiful but a Quesada seemed right up my alley. Tortilla filled with baja chicken, rice, jalapeños, corn salsa, Monterrey jack cheese, sour cream, southwest chipotle, cilantro, lettuce. Everything is always fresh and you can taste the quality of the food. This is way better than Qdoba or Chipotle. Even their fried fish, is hand battered in store (which was amazing by the way). The restaurant itself is usually quiet and slow, but there's a lot of chairs and tables, plus a soda machine. They also have a nice assortment of hot sauces. Just so everyone knows, this isn't like a traditional Mexican restaurant. This is chipotle style order at the counter type of thing. Food was decent.... But nothing too unique or extra flavorful. But if you want a quick meal, this is probably a decent choice read more

felt like a local chipotle- we ordered a special they had which was a cheeto burrito! which was exactly what it sounds like- the best combination! We split it thankfully - it was huge!! The picture is just half! The staff was nice but not overly accommodating or helpful for first timers. It was a little odd they didn't list out the protein options and it was hard to tell what was what without asking. After we ordered I looked around and noticed everyone else had their burrito grilled - so pro tip- ask for it grilled! Otherwise it was quite underwhelming. It is only five minutes from my office though so I'm going to give it another try and order the grilled quesadilla/burrito that I didn't find on the menu but heard in other reviews it's their staple! Baja Grill is similar to the other casual-quick dining burrito places like Qdoba and Chipotle. We were pleasantly surprised. Quality ingredients and good flavors. $7 for a pretty good sized burrito, a handful of chips, and a soft drink! My wife had the chicken, and I had the steak. Both were very good. Our lunch-mate had the pork and was also raving about it. I'm bummed we don't have one of these in Grand Rapids. I'll be sure to stop in next time I'm in Holland. --- Update: Went back a second time tried the 'Spicy Mole' Chicken, Ground Beef, and BBQ Beef. They were good and I definitely enjoyed them, but the regular chicken and steak are by far the best meat options here. read more

My hubby and I just found this little gem right after we moved to the neighborhood and couldn't be more thrilled. The menu might be a little limited, but that is because they have PERFECTED what they offer. Flavorful, not greasy, and just a party for your tastebuds. And all the staff are AMAZING. Don't know how they train them, but they are FAST (faster than any drive through), friendly and they have never messed up our order. Highly recommend the Quesada.....and mix it up, try different combos in there. All the ingredients are delicious. The guac is a little addicting, so you are warned. Extremely disappointed! This has been my "go to" for reasonably price Mexican burritos made to order with friendly service. I don't know if they have recently changed ownership/management, but lately I am extremely disappointed! Things are not the same. The workers are consistently inexperienced and not friendly. None of the people who worked there consistently are still there. They have raised the prices and decreased the portions. We felt pushed out the door tonight several minutes before closing time.
