I still have nothing bad to say about these people. The food is outstanding. I get the macho every time the people are friendly. The place is clean. It looks nice. Definitely good eating. read more

I should've added something to give perspective to these burritos, but these are humongous. We all got the medium sized burritos. Next time, I'm getting a slim. None of us finished our portions. We couldn't order online or by phone, so I wasn't sure about having to go in person, stand in line, and wait. Not thrilled about that, but we're going to consider dining in next time to check out the ambience. Will be back! read more

Stopped by Fat Burrito and was able to walk right up to the counter and order, which was nice and easy. The decor is simple but inviting, nothing fancy, just comfortable. I ordered the steak fajita burrito and got it wet. When they say the burritos are massive, they aren't exaggerating -- I've picked up toddlers that weighed less. The portion size alone is impressive. The steak was well seasoned and cooked perfectly, and everything inside the burrito was packed generously. The red enchilada sauce used for the wet burrito was decent, nothing over the top, but it did the job. The amount of cheese melted on top was generous and would give some of the cheesiest pizzas a run for their money. Chips were exactly what you'd expect, and the salsa was solid and flavorful. Overall, a good spot with huge portions and well-cooked food. I'd definitely come back again when I'm in town. read more

Go there!!! Again and again. Don't stop. I love this place. The steak burritos are amazing.

Everytime I've been it's been perfect. Always been great food service is great and it has a decent ambiance

The portion sizes are huge so you get bang for your buck. Even the slim ground beef burrito was two meals for me. The meat was seasoned well and all the ingredients tasted very fresh. Only thing that would have made it better is if the cheese and sauce would have been a bit more cooked. It wasn't very hot or bubbly like a lot of other places. The three steak tacos were pretty good. I prefer the steak pieces in my tacos to be a little smaller with a little char, but these were still very flavorful. The green sauce and onions here are 10/10! Best I've had around! read more

Holy cow this is my new favorite Mexican place!!! These massive burritos are so good, tacos are awesome and the quesadillas too! First time here and they were fast and great. Only got takeout so I will be back at a later date for comments on atmosphere. Service was quick and friendly! Keep it up and the whole family will see you soon next time! read more

Just had dinner at the reopened bar. Great authentic Mexican. They are improving the bar menu soon. Great service. Great portions

This is the type of place where you order at the counter for takeout or dine in. Staff were fast & friendly. Restaurant was clean. Burrito was huge and delicious. Definitely enough for two to share! read more

Ordered a takeout meal but time in the restaurant to get the burrito- I noticed the cleanliness of everything. Huge burrito that the two of us split was delicious. Be careful of the red hot sauce- a little goes a long way. Jalapeño sauce was excellent, tasted fresh too. I would go back to eat here. read more

I had chicken enchiladas, chips and guacamole. And I can really only recommend the guacamole. The enchiladas WERE warm, even though I didn't eat my carry out for 30 minutes after I picked up. But, I wasn't all that impressed with the flavor, and the chips seemed like they were just Tostito's bagged chips. The guac was pretty good, but, I wouldn't go back just for that. If you want a lot of food for your money, you may love this place, though. read more

Wow what a little gem. When we walked in we were going to leave because the place is cafeteria style and after a long drive we really just wanted to be served. But, we saw a small bar on the other side of the restaurant seating and figured we would give it a try. We were staying at the Spring Hill suites Marriott that is kiddy corner from the restaurant, so it was walkable back, just incase the margaritas were good-lol. Well let's just say the margaritas were not good, they were fantastic and we were glad we were within walking distance. The food was right on for 10$ I had 2 gigantic chicken enchiladas with red sauce loaded with lettuce, ripe tomatoes and sour cream. The rice and beans were delicious. Do not over look this little gem it will keep us coming back to Holland Michigan just for a good Mexican dinner. read more

Food was okay, just very sloppy. Restaurant just felt dirty & the service felt like fast food, but for restaurant price.

consistently good food. Burritos are huge, nachos are exceptional, and the quesadillas are scrumptious. I'm never disappointed when we get take out from here. Prices aren't too bad, they're on point for what you get. We order food from here regularly and hope this restaurant is here to stay! read more

I was a big fan of the portions and the price. I got the slim chicken and cheese quesadilla, which came with refried beans, rice, lettuce, tomato, and sour cream. I thought the food was mediocre, it wasn't anything outstanding. However, halfway through our meal, my friends and I left because the restaurant started to smell bad - like sewer gas. Kinda sus. read more

I ordered the veggie burrito and it is suppose to have beans on it. it was not refried beans. it had scoop of beans and lots of rice. not very much flavor. big disappointment. They had better quality of food in their old location. I will head to Vitalies in HOlland for a good burrito next time. read more

Big portions (you are paying for it), but mediocre burritos. I ordered the macho burrito as a few people have mentioned it. I love sizeable portions, and this for the bill, but the flavor department was lacking. I like my steak a little charred or crispy in the burrito, but this one was more of a slow cooked or smothered beef. In addition I feel about 50% if not more of the filling was rice. Left a lot more to be desired. Not a lot of flavor in the burrito itself. The hot sauce is good so that made it edible. read more

Let me just say that I rate restaurants based on food. Service is an added star but food is why I go out to eat. This is not a good Mexican restaurant. The food is very bland, it needs salt, cumin, chili powder, like everything. It tastes whelming at best. The portion sizes are excellent, you can feed two people with one dish. read more

Tried this place when they opened the new location on S. Washington for the first time about a month ago. It's in an old Wendy's building and was tastefully repurposed to its current state. The portions are huge, but to be honest it tasted like I was eating cardboard. No flavor whatsoever. It didn't matter how big the portion was, after three bites I had had enough. Fast forward a month, as I have a "two try" rule before I write off any restaurant. I even ordered something different than I had the first time just to see if things were different. I had a wet chicken burrito and my 15yo son had a dry beef burrito. We dined in and the service was great, which is the basis for my two star review. Unfortunately, the food was no better and he and I both left about 90% of our meals un-eaten. This was a major disappointment as I really, really wanted to like this place. We spent almost $30 for two burritos and would likely have had a better experience at the Taco Bell across the street from the $1 menu. :( read more

Rude employees, bland mediocre food, also prices have skyrocketed. Much better Mexican food choices in Holland. read more

The Fat Burrito, is Mexican fast food. They took over the building of the former Carrabbas Italian Restaurant in Holland, they closed a few years ago. The Saturday after Thanksgiving were in the mood for some "good Mexican food". As usual we check ratings first, since The Fat Burrito rated about 4.5 we thought great let's go. There's a menu posted overhead of their kitchen area. You stand in line to order just like any other fast food joint, the cash register where you place your order is to the right. You can watch them construct and plate your order. Their portions are very large, their prices are ok, everything looks good. You grab a tray, get your meal, then sit wherever you want. We are impressed with the generous amount of food on our plates. 1 huge wet burritto for him, 1 beef corn tacos, 1 beef flour taco and rice and beans for me. Well, that's were the good ends. The tacos were tasteless as were the rice and beans. The sauce on the wet burrito was tasty but not tasty enough read more

The food here was very delicious very filling overall five stars at a decent price family of four I paid about 40 bucks which I think is a fair deal the red sauce was a bit greedy but had a nice heat to it the green sauce was overall fantastic and the guacamole was the best thing ever I will most definitely be visiting this place again when I am back in town read more

My daughter, husband and I decided to try the new Fat Burtito in South Washington last Saturday night. My daughter ordered the small (ya, right!) I went to the new location.. they should have never moved. I used to love the old location and employees were so friendly. The New location they are at now previously was a fancy sit down restaurant where you get served.. so it doesn't seem fitting for fat burrito to be in there.. we walked into a hostess stand and no one was at it because you need to walk around and you walk up to a register and order grab your food and sit down to eat and clean up. Not a good set up at all. Way to many better Mexican restaurants around. The guy taking my order was super rude. I didn't say anything and my friend I was with brought it up as well so it wasn't just me. Get new employees. read more

There food is really good and portion sizes are good! Definitely don't leave hungry! We had the all beef wet burrito, 3 enchilada plate (I asked for 1 chicken, 1 beef and 1 cheese, which isn't on the menu but they had no problem doing it) and a kids burrito and kids chicken quesadilla. I would recommend this place and will return. read more

I just simple like this place. I always order the veg nachos with regular cheese, not queso. I cant tell you the number of times I've been on my way home from grocery shopping, told myself I can make something at home (after all I have a car full of groceries) but turned around to go back into Fat Burrito. It's inexpensive and quick with a large amount of food. read more

The chips with cheese sauce was inedible for me, it had the texture of mucus and a metallic flavor that I just couldn't get past. The chicken ranchero wrap was decent & I liked the green sauce.
