Tacos, guacamole, horchata, chips and salsa
Leang E.

They just reopened in November so I had to give it a try. The guacamole is fresh and fantastic. There is a choice of hot or mild salsa and of course I got hot and the spicy level was just right for me. I also got the carne asada, fish, chorizo, and birria tacos. All were flavorful and delicious and I did get them with onions and cola and I did add fresh jalapeños. I am so excited know that they have $1 taco Tuesdays so I will definitely be doing that! Service was quick and prices are reasonable.

First time at Don Miguel's. Their menu is a lot more extensive than you're led to believe. A fantastic variety of breakfast dishes, meats, dinner items. Hopefully they will post a full menu soon on social media. Staff was very friendly and the place is very clean. I ordered the birria quesadilla platter and a barbacoa and Al pastor taco. The birria was amazing! Best I've had in west Michigan. The consume was seasoned perfect, not too salty. The cheese was gooey and delicious! The barbacoa was moist, but not too wet. The Al pastor was flavorful, big chunks of pineapple but the pork was a little chewy. Perhaps if the meat was chopped more fine, it would be okay. The vegetables were very fresh, and the hot salsa roja was very good though personally I would of preferred a bit more heat. Please don't hesitate to give Don Miguel a try. You won't be disappointed with the birria, I promise!

Many parking spaces. Ordering Online - unfortunately the link from Yelp opened a sketchy website. Once I went to their site from Google, I ordered. It was simple with many categories - birria has their own category if you are looking for a quesabirria, birria taco, or birria pizza. Inside - We were greeted by a host with the biggest smile with menus in his hand and asked if we were dining in for two. It is a little darker inside due to the furniture used. I have not personally ate inside but Order - We ordered a steak quesadilla, Carne Asada taco, birria taco, and a regular sized horchata. The birria taco was 7/10, it could have used more of the birria sauce. Horchata: 10/10. I ordered the regular sized for $3.99, and was $3.00+ more for a large. Steak quesadilla had a nice crisp to the shell. Came with chips and salsa. Carne asada taco looked good but got a bit messy when I unraveled it from the tinfoil.

Both were excellent. The guacamole was fresh, bright, and clearly made with care. Nothing felt like an afterthought. What stood out most was the experience. The chef came out to check on our dinner personally. That kind of attention tells you something about the people behind the food. Mezkla sits right near the new theater strip on West 8th, and they're already expanding their dining room. Growth like that doesn't happen by accident. It happens when the food is good, the service is genuine, and people keep coming back. If you're in the mood for excellent Mexican cuisine in Holland, give Mezkla a serious look. We'll be back.

Bland, bland, bland food. Decent service. Nice ambiance…read more Ordered chips and salsa, nopales tacos, potato tacos, and the Jamaican Hibiscus agua fresca. The chips and salsa were decent enough, the agua fresca was so cloyingly sweet that it was pretty much undrinkable, and the nopales and potato tacos were utterly tasteless. The food came out fast and the waitress was at once brisk, brusque and efficient. The patio area was nice to sit out on during a pleasant summer evening. We were glad we did not sit indoors--the outdoor seating was one of the few good things about the experience. The restroom was clean. Two stars because there were quite a few vegan options and because Taco Tuesday was good value for money. Was overall however quite disappointed and will certainly not return.

We were Señora and Amigo and amigos the entire time ( they addressed us that way) Very friendly staff. I recommend trying the daily special menu for a couple dollars off, if you don't know what to order. The menu is extensive. The chicken dish was super flavorful with the mushrooms and sauce. Not sure of the name. The enchiladas were good too and a great way to share some food with five different kinds. Warm chips were brought out so that was nice to be served fresh stuff. There was a perfume like order in the restaurant in addition to the food smells it wasn't horrible but we did notice it. The place inside seemed clean and lively overall.

He said it was just ok not as good as he's had other places. I had an enchilada and a burrito. One cheese & 1 chicken. The red sauce had a weird spice/taste to it. I didn't care for it at all. The chicken was dry and had no seasoning at all. The cheese enchilada was good except for that weird spice taste. The chips were thick and flavorless and the salsa was runny and lacked taste. Not the best Mexican I've had and I will not return.
