I was able to buy two sets of components speakers that are usually $400 a piece for half off because they keep track of deals for the products and therefore sold them for cheaper. This score is in reference to their online store only. This company just doesn't have their act together and I'll never buy from them again. I made a $300 purchase on 4/3/14. After the item didn't ship for several days, I called to find out why. They said they were out of stock got in contact with the manufacturer and agreed to upgrade the shipping to 2-day air (for free) as soon as they replenished their stock. I received my order 9 days after the original date of purchase. Not terrible, but I was mildly annoyed. I could have made this purchase somewhere else and received them item on time. However, I did appreciate them upgrading to 2-day air even though I had to make a fuss. I installed the head unit and it turned out to have corrupt software. It had to be shipped back to them--AT MY EXPENSE. $25 shipped ground to them on 4/15 and they received it on 4/22. I called to confirm they received it, and they were quick to print a shipping label for the replacement item the very next day but it just sat in their warehouse/store for 7 days. They never sent it out. After continuous calls, with promises to call me back that were never kept, extremely long hold times (I sat for 20+ minutes one day while I was at work), I finally got them to ship the item (again with upgraded shipping). The constant hand-holding, unreturned calls, errors, and slip ups are just too much trouble than its worth. The $50 savings in price ended up only being $25 and a huge hassle. The damaged product wasn't their fault. I don't hold them accountable for that--but it's extremely aggravating to deal with this contemptibly inept business. read more

Scam artist. If you walk in to purchase they go to the back to find defective merchandise to sell you - items missing parts, etc. Purchased online chose in store pick up with receipt in hand I was given the run around for about 45 minutes only to be given a pair of speakers missing brackets and mounting hardware. Manager also admitted that the items were over priced and had I paid cash I would save over 20. So they also over charged just for the hell of it. Avoid these people at all cost. read more

LIED! - STAY AWAY!!! If you look around, you'll see that Customer Service is not something they care about. Bought a Yamaha Audiogram 6 USB Computer Interface from them for a reasonable price. Apparently they thought it was TOO reasonable, because they after accepting payment, they CALL my house to let me know that it's back-ordered and didn't know when they would get it back in stock so they would be cancelling my order... One problem with that... IMMEDIATELY after I get the call; the very same item is now listed on their site as $50 more and IN STOCK and a week later I've yet to receive my refund. I've made several purchases from this place and have been satisfied every time. Before making Techtronics my main electronics/audio spot I read some reviews that were not very pleasant. After going to see for myself and being a frequent customer I've had no major issues so far. The staff members are really cool. I have seen some irate customers that have made a scene and in return the staff have responded in self defense. If you want good service, approach with respect and you'll the same in return. From wires to amps to speakers they give great deals verses going Downtown L.A.(an absolute nightmare). Whenever I had to return anything they have replaced it with no problem. read more

This was the worst experience that we have ever had. My son ordered a subwoofer among some other things back in May. The subwoofer blew immediately after it was installed by Car Toys. First they said it would be covered by warranty and a new one would come from Alpine as long as I sent it back. Turns out they are not a authorized reseller. They then said they would send me a new one if I got certain paperwork from Car Toys to which I faxed to them that same day. Have been told numerous times since then that they would send us a new one. They even took my credit card information down because they would only do it if we paid shipping. Long story short: absolute garbage. Avoid this like the plague. I ordered a shift knob that came with a free gift option which in my case, was a dead pedal/foot rest with a choice of color. When I opened the package, the shift knob was missing the top half piece which rendered it not useable and they sent me the wrong color I chose for the foot rest. read more

I ordered a speaker for my grandson for Christmas from these people .He was very happy and hooked it up right away , but it was defective . After ten months I STILL do not have a new speaker or a refund ! I have sent over twenty emails and called too ,and they always have some excuse as to why it isnt their fault and they are doing everything they can . I live in Oklahoma and I've been searching for a complete audio system which techronics provided for the lowest price on the Internet so I gave it a try. A week later, my products did not come in and so I called them to see what was happening with my products. The person that I talked to stated that JL Audio would not send my items straight to my house and that jl audio had to send the items to their warehouse to techronics' warehouse and that techronics just received my items from jl audio and that they were sending it to me. Well several days later, my items still did not come in and so I called again. The representative who I talked to, whose name was Jermaine, stated that he needed a picture of my ID, my credit card that I used, and a utility bill with a current address emailed to him. He said that they have been trying to contact me but I never got a call nor voicemail. And so I stated that I called several days ago and that the representative never stated that he needed my ID, credit card, nor utility bill. I finally just asked for a full refund and go somewhere else with better customer service. Hopefully I even get my refund. I purchased an Earthquake DBXI 10" Subwoofer that the techronics site had listed as "IN STOCK". I paid on September 28 2014 and waited for the confirmation email and tracking number. After 5 days it still said "pending" on my order when my payment was processed immediately through Paypal. I called customer service and was told that there was a note in my order from management and the representative would call me back. He never did. I called again the following business day and was told the same....and again-nobody returned my call. Day 8 I called again and was told that the item was out of stock and *IF* they could contact another vendor, I could get my new subwoofer in 4-6 WEEKS. Unacceptable and I requested a refund. I was told that it was refunded. A day goes by and still no refund. I called again for the 4th time and demanded my money back and was finally refunded my payment. Bottom line-they have NOTHING IN STOCK and will take your money in hopes of finding it after you pay. Be warned about this company website. I have dealt with them on Ebay with great success, but the techronics.com site was a whole other experience. I will never do business with them again. read more
