Have been going to HD Car Stereo for a couple of times. Tint, sound system, light bars to be remounted due to initial poor installation from another shop, and now these side steps/bars. Their prices are always reasonable and the value of service is amazing! read more

HD Car Stereo - Side bar/side step - Car Stereo Installation Near Me - Hawthorne, California

Installation is very Expensive and sounds terrible can't hear the front speakers , dont know if they're even installed to be honest , rear box should've been a sealed box it just way to loud with zero clarity , amp could've been placed somewhere out of the way now it takes up all my trunk space, tweeters should've been replaced there's a constant buzz coming out of them, whole things was just a waste of time now I gotta find another shop to clean this mess up read more

Came here to get a custom box for my 18inch speaker. I was negotiating the price for the speaker and I didn't think anything can go wrong from here. Once they gave me a quote I waited about 2 weeks thinking they were done with my box until they brought me in and barely started on my box. The box was way too small for my speaker. In the beginning we were basically negotiating quality instead pricing and gave me a speaker worth what I paid for. Service was terrible as way, the guy was talking to me unprofessionally . For example he was cursing for no reason. Other than that these people don't deserve your money. Better off going somewhere else. Like PCH Customs in Long Beach. read more

I highly recommend Hd car stereo. They hooked up my breathalyzer, easy and friendy experience! Great service.

HD Car Stereo and Window Tinting is a hidden gem in Hawthorne, CA! I first learned about them back in 2019 through Groupon, and I've been coming here ever since. I lease my cars, so every time I upgrade, I return to HD for my window tinting. They're always quick, efficient, clean, and professional. The team provides excellent customer service and really knows their craft. I also appreciate that they use computer-generated laser cutting to ensure the tint film is precisely cut to fit each window perfectly. I've referred friends and family here, and they've all had the same great experience. Thank you, Omar and the HD team, for consistently providing top-notch service! read more

I arrived at HD Car Stereo and spoke to Omar about swapping out my car dash and back up camera installation. He informed me that they were all booked up and possibly couldn't get to my car until Wednesday. I left my car with them and he called me back the next day that it was done. I appreciate the speedy and professional service. Him and his team did an amazing job. He even sat with me to make sure all the features worked before I left. I had such a good experience at HD Car Stereo that I wanted to take the time to write this. Ali helped me the most, and his brother Omar jumped in too. They were both patient, honest, and really took care of my car. What I appreciated most was how clearly they explained everything. They broke down the cost of the product vs. labor, told me exactly what they were doing, and never tried to upsell me. The pricing was fair, and the quality of the work shows. I got a lot done: window tint, converting my factory stereo into CarPlay, dashcam installation, a kill switch, new headlights and brake lights, and replacing my interior lights. Everything looks clean and works perfectly. They take real pride in their work, and you can tell. It's rare to find a shop that's skilled and also this trustworthy. I'll definitely be back with my other cars, and I've already been recommending them to people. Thanks again, Ali and Omar -- you guys made the whole process easy and stress-free. read more

Beware of this place! I purchased a Groupon for window tinting. And as mentioned on the Groupon it says to call and schedule an appointment, and they set me up to arrive Monday at 9:00am. As I arrive one of the workers whose name I didn't get told me that I can leave my car and they will have it ready for me by 4-5:00pm the latest. I told him that it was fine but also I did have to be at work by 4:00pm and if they could finish the job a little before then I would appreciate it .. so then I choose out the tint percentage, I redeem the Groupon and go about my day. Time went by and it was already 3:00pm so I decided to call them to get an update and they never answered the phone. So I proceed to go to the shop, I get there and my car is still parked in the same spot as when I left it at 9:00am !! Two workers were there and I approach to ask how come my car hasn't even been started and they proceeded to say, we told you by 5:00pm! They did not care to aplogize and just proceeded to give me my car keys and said you can contact Groupon for a refund. They literally brushed me off and made me waste my time just to not end up doing anything to my car. I felt discriminated for being a female and being all alone, and who knows they probably even made me wait as the last one just because I had a Groupon voucher. I hope the owner or whoever runs this place is able to see my review so they can know the rude and shi**y workers that they have. read more

HD Car Stereo - A JL AUDIO license plate - Car Stereo Installation Near Me - Hawthorne, California

Worst Experience Ever -- Stay Away from HD Car Stereo I went in to replace my stolen subwoofer and clearly asked for a shallow box to fit behind my seat. They installed a huge box that didn't fit, left it in the center of my van, and told me to come back the next day. When I did, the guy said, "My bad, fu," and told me to come back again. On the third visit, they tried another box that still didn't fit, and when I asked for a refund, he went behind my back and installed a cheap slim box I never ordered. The job was Mickey Mouse -- carpet peeling, ring added to make it fit, just sloppy. He also damaged my van, stepping on silicone tubes and leaving silicone all over my seats, floor, and steering wheel, sun visor, hardhat and miscellaneous tools. All I got was a "my bad." Even my tint job, which looked fine at first, had 3M logos all over the film that I now have to remove myself. These guys are unprofessional, careless, and just trying to make a quick sale. Do yourself a favor and go to a real shop. I'm now cleaning up their mess and still don't have the box I originally wanted and spent more than what it cost on Amazon for the correct speaker and box not including all the damages I have to take time out of my day to clean up and re buy two silicone caulking tubes that were $18 dollars each Avoid HD Car Stereo at all costs! read more

Omar and Ali are so awesome! They installed great dash cameras, backup cameras, and the Viper alarms on two of my vehicles! I highly recommend these 2 professionals. These guys are absolute rock stars! I took my 95 Grand Cherokee to get all the speakers replaced, a subwoofer, a head unit, a back up camera and a dash cam installed. On top of that, I got a Viper security system installed. Anyone who knows about this year Grand Cherokee, knows they're a pain in the behind to deal with due to the factory security system. They didn't skip a beat. They installed everything, updating my interior and giving me keyless entry capability once more. I'm very happy with their work. I'll be returning again. They're highly recommended. read more

Found this spot through Groupon, and glad I did. I've been wanting tinting for my windows ever since I got this car years back. Delayed gratification makes a nice job like they've done that much sweeter. Omar and Ali were very helpful answering all my questions. Straightforward and honest. Was so satisfied I decided to get a rear view mirror installed with front and rear recording while I was here. Will definitely come back and recommend this spot to others. read more

I needed a stereo and speakers for a 2019 Rav4. It was complicated due to the L-shaped thin radio that I needed. Ali and brother Omar took care of me and showed me why I needed a more expensive option. (Only one available was from Pioneer.). I appreciate their transparency. They showed me multiple options, took care of the install in a few hours, and it looks stock when all was said and done. I'm grateful for stopping at HD Car Stereo. read more
