This review is long overdue. I've been coming to this place for two years now. These guys have fixed multiple iPhones for me and various members of my family. They are reputable, courteous and fairly priced. Each time I come in, they are kind. They are efficient in diagnosing the issue, contacting you right away to let you know and what they will charge, and being okay with whatever you decide. I've never been charged a diagnostic fee (as far as I know, they don't do that). They figure out what's wrong and let you decide whether you want to fix it or not. charged me 200 to fix galaxy s3(cracked screen and power kept turning off) after repair power still kept turning off and after bringing it back they said it was a motherboard problem and they dont fix motherboards!!!!!!! so they charged me to put a new screen on a phone that had broken motherboard. I had a desktop tower sitting in my closet for years. When it was finally time to get rid of it, I took it to iPhone Curt to recover data in case there was something valuable in there. When I got there, their office had been closed. I'd rented a Zipcar so I didn't want to take it back and bring it again another day. I left the computer in front of their door and left them a voice message. They got back to me the next business day confirming they received it. Later on, another call said the data would be expensive to recover. Therefore I asked Curt to recycle the computer. He accepted very politely without asking for a fee for the time they'd spent and even offered to physically destroy the hard disk in case there was personal information. I had heard a success story with a glowing review and the description on the outside always seemed promising when I passed it back when I lived near there. So I decide to give them a shot when my phone (RIP) gets the White Screen of Death. The minute I go up there, after I wait in line, I show it to the guy at the desk (who's accompanied by two other guys working behind him minding their business) and he immediately decides there's no hope for it and acts all dismissive, and even though before he said he thinks it's the screen and that the data is still there, and I have to practically prod him to get him to try connecting it to a computer, and even after he does, he still seems to suddenly think it's not there anymore... and meanwhile I can hear the other two guys making side joking comments about our conversation. At first it's easy enough to ignore, and I'm accepting what he's telling me. But then after I start asking the questions I need (which are perfectly reasonable innocent curious questions), while the guy I'm talking to is being somewhat helpful, the other two who I wasn't even talking to are basically making fun of what I'm asking and throwing in sarcastic smartass comments and basically jeering at everything I say (despite the fact that no one in the room was laughing). As a customer, I felt really humiliated and ashamed to ask them anything after the way they responded, seeing as they supposedly like what they do. But what took the cake is when I asked if I could use their phone to call for a ride to verizon so I could get a new one, as well as call those who I had plans with and would probably trying to reach me at the time (since I can't Uber, and of course, them being a phone-repair place, they probably have one they let customers use since they probably have a lot of suddenly-phoneless people walking in). They had one they let me use, but not without throwing a few more rude mocking comments at me trying to be funny and failing. As I grabbed the phone, I started step outside the room since I obviously didn't want to make those calls in front of them, and as I did that I could hear them quietly laughing and joking to each other about me 'walking out' (which further convinced me I made the right choice). I'm sure they're great when they know what they're doing, but on the off chance that they don't, prepare yourselves for a terrible experience. I went to Curt with my Iphone that I damaged trying to replace the screen. (yes I damaged the phone trying to replace a cracked screen) but the phone and all its functions worked fine except the right side of the touch screen was inop. Curt's employee ( nice competent person)took the phone apart and showed me what I damaged= no problem.Curt gave me a reasonable estimate but a little more than I could afford, so I picked up the phone and it did not function at all it would not turn on and overheated in my pocket like it was going to catch on fire.I Called curt and that's when the problem started, Curt's CONDESCENDING, INSULTING,DEFENSIVE ATTACK on me was curious. I brought in a phone with a problem and got back a phone completely inoperative,I think its reasonable to call and ask about the problem. my phone is now junk. Curt was a total #$% hole. If you need your phone fixed, they'll fix it. The price is alright and they're pretty fair in the sense if they can't fix it, they won't charge you labor. But it's also why they operate a pretty sketchy business. I had a couple phones repaired here before until I decided to fix it myself. I broke my iPhone 5 screen and fixed it. It seemed to have a hardware issue (turned out to be battery) so I sent it to see if they can help me out. After a couple days, they said I knocked a chip off the motherboard and pretty much I might as well buy a new phone. But Curt offered to check it out for free and said he can't guarantee anything so I let him. After a week or more, he told me he tried to solder a chip in but he couldn't get it fixed. No charge so I didn't care since I had another phone. A couple of weeks later, I mentioned it to a guy that works at tmobile and said it doesn't make sense. I reopened my phone and found I was missing a front facing camera/sensor, missing bracket, screws, and ear piece speaker. Mind you, nobody touched my phone but myself or Curt. They had to unscrew everything to steal my front camera sensor and earpiece which wasn't even related to my original issue. Smart since when they returned it to me, it worked and they knew I wasn't going to use any of the functions that they stole. Worst case scenario, they could just offer to fix it but really they would just put back what they stole. My advice, if you taken your phone there, make sure you checked that every function works. So, I dropped my new IPhone 3gs on Saturday - this would be my 4th IPhone in under 2 years b/c I have the worst luck with these things but am hooked on the darn thing! Needless to say, the screen shattered despite the fact that it was in a top of the line shock absorbent case. Every other time I've had an Iphone disaster, I went to Apple only to be told that my only real remedy was to buy a new one. well, I decided enough was enough and, through yelp, found Curt. Quite frankly, the best customer service I have ever experienced. I dropped my phone off to Curt and the guys Saturday afternoon, post quick swim in a toilet late Friday night. They emailed me a few hours later to let me know they didn't know much but would be running some tests and should know Monday if it was possible to fix. Monday rolled around and, hooray, the phone was savable! $130 and I was on my way. Later in the evening I noticed my phone was being rather glitchy and gave them a call. iPhone Curt guarantees all the work they do and said to bring it back at my earliest convenience.
