My parents took their 2002 Chevy Silverado in to get the parking brake fixed and have the brakes…read morechecked. They quoted front and rear pads on top of the brake shoes for the parking brake. My parents told them to go ahead and fix it, once the truck was back it sat for about a month until i drove it. I knew the front rotors were warped before they took it in for service and I was a surprised to find out that the rotors were still warped, even after they supposedly did a brake job. I checked the invoice and realized that the tech quoted a pad slap (front and rear) and didn't recommend replacing or even resurfacing the rotors. I also checked the old brake pads and found that they still had 4 to 5 mm of material left and were not in immediate need of replacement. I was expecting to look at the invoice and see a proper brake job that at least included turning the rotors. As a technician myself I'm extremely disappointed in the service we received, i expected better service and communication.

I didn't need a new transmission, just a new clutch. Jack's Garage did the repair for $1,200 in the same amount of time that the dealership took to run their "diagnostics" I paid $200 for. Now my car runs better than it has in a long time. I just wish I could have used the $200 I gave to Tameron and given it to Sandy's team to have them do the actual repair of the actual problem. Excellent service by trustworthy people - that's supposed to be the dealership, right? No, that's Jack's Garage.

Buyer Beware - My Experience with Moody I'm posting this…read morereview in hopes that no one else has to go through what I've experienced. I purchased a vehicle from Moody and had to return the same day due to a check engine light and Stabilitrak error. A staff member diagnosed it as a gas cap sensor issue and assured me it was minor. I asked several times if they were sure--each time I was told yes. Then I was met with radio silence for two days. The day after I picked the vehicle back up, the check engine light came on again--along with tire sensor warnings. Les Schwab confirmed that the tires were dangerously bald, with wires sticking out, and unsafe to drive. I had to immediately replace all 4 tires and recalibrate the sensors--out of my own pocket. The engine light? Three different transmission specialists all found cleared transmission codes and nothing about a gas cap. When I tried to speak with the owner, I was ignored repeatedly. Selling a vehicle in this condition is illegal under multiple Washington state laws, including: RCW 46.70.101(1)(b)(viii) - Selling an unsafe vehicle is a violation of dealer licensing laws. RCW 62A.2-314 - There is an implied warranty that a vehicle is merchantable and safe to drive. RCW 19.86 - Misrepresentation or concealment of defects violates consumer protection laws. RCW 46.37.425 - Selling a car with tire tread under 2/32 of an inch is illegal. As a recently single mother trying to rebuild my life, this has been emotionally and financially devastating. I've filed complaints with the Washington State Department of Licensing and the Attorney General's Office, and I'm still asking Moody to do the right thing: Take back this car or replace it with one that is actually safe to drive.
