I decided to come here instead of going to a more traditional store, in hopes of a lesser crowd. There were a few people getting assisted when I walked in , so no one greeted me. Took off for this but at least they were assisting others and not just being unpleasant on purpose. I ended up having to ask where the batteries were, since I could not locate them on my own. One of the male sales associate quickly pointed me in the direction to where the batteries were. I guess regardless to where you go , batteries are just notoriously expensive! I didn't look around the store much but it's your typical automotive store. I was happy to get my expensive batteries minus the crowd. I was given a quote to repair and told that these were very complex, time consuming repairs. The price, while high, but only half of what dealers in Atlanta and Huntsville quoted. I was given the choice of using the top closed, or a complete redo. This was the only shop in Birmingham willing to attempt the repair. After replacing the rails, travellers, multiple parts (all of cheap OEM FIAT plastic), the top still had issues. It did not stop at the midposition detents, and the trunk would not open. Reviews of this top on the internet show that it is very complex and I feel cheaply made. That is why most shops won't touch them. After two further attempts at repair, I was told that there was nothing further they could do. However, they agreed to a third attempt, at their expense if I would bring the car back two months later. Although skeptical, I took Dave West's word that they would make it right. True to his word, Dave fixed the issues on his own dime! I knew that he lost money on the repair and offered to pay him additional monies. He refused and apologized for the delay in getting it fixed.
