My iPhone 13 Pro died on the last day of a two-week vacation. It sucked losing my phone, but what I…read morewas more concerned about the photos I lost. My phone stopped backing up to iCloud about 1 week into the vacation (even though I had it been connected to power and wi-fi every night). I suspected the phone had water damage. I took it to the Apple Store and explained that my main concern was recovering my photos. They did a quick diagnostic and could not get a response from the phone. The Apple Store said that they cannot repair water damage and would need to replace the logic board which would mean I would lose all the data and that it would cost about half the price of a new phone. They referred me to a data recovery business that everyone online says charges exorbitant fees, likely thousands of dollars. I decided to give GadgetMates a try as their website lists water damage and iPhone data recovery among their services. I brought my phone to them late on a Friday afternoon and they said they would diagnose it and get back to me. I expected to hear back Monday with some bad news, but was surprised when they called me back an hour or two later saying the phone just needs a new screen, power port, and proximity flex cable and the cost would be about half of what the Apple Store quoted. Most importantly, the logic board was intact. I swung by their store to enter my pin while they had it hooked up to a new screen so I could confirm the photos were all there. They were able to fix it that same day while I waited in their shop playing some arcade games. I highly recommend GadgetMates for any phone issues and wouldn't hesitate to use them again should the need arise.

I say Chris Droge is knowledgeable about computers and…read moreif you don't mind a non formal way to repair your PC ie, writing up a service ticket, checking up on what the customer needs then, deposits taken up front, he does have a booking system that reminds by text alerts which is cool. I thought he is 24/7 service, but there's clearly hours on here. Oh well I'm not surprised when I'm being lorded over when he is talking crap to make me feel smaller over his many decades of being in business when the Dinosaurs walked the Earth and we had to call the PC person by poking a hole in the bottom of a cup from 1 string to the other red solo cup. Good luck on your business thanks for taking the time to clean my PC that was pretty cool, and while I don't believe the customer is always right, sometimes the customer is not always wrong, I still give a 5 stars because of his skill but I would give 1 star for likeability because I certainly don't like him and 0 stars for accountability. I own the very imperfect person I am - and if I didn't need help with my PC I wouldn't be calling a repair service. I don't own that I am bad at communication, that is self projection, and that crap makes me upset. Anyways he'll come to your home or business or he will take your stuff for free into his office - which doesn't seem like a sustainable business practice to me, but that's how Home Depot is the biggest and most profitable retailer in the world overtaking Walmart in 2019 because the owners in 1976 Bernie Marcus, Arhtur Blank, and Ken Langone would go to competitors stores and buy the items from other stores if they ran out and deliver to their customers homes for free in those early days. Despite being in business since the dinosaurs, you can find this type of old school service in Chris and perhaps after Robots take over humans in our world then it can be automated but I know I will become dead and gone for many centuries. Good luck Chris and potential customer reading this review.
