Our party of seven (7) ladies had a horrible experience at this restaurant this past Saturday evening. I recommended your restaurant, having been there on a couple of prior occasions and enjoying it each time. Several of us traveled from 30-60 minutes away for this night out to celebrate a couple of birthdays, including my 50th, so imagine my embarrassment with how the evening went after recommending your restaurant. The biggest annoyance the entire evening was our waiter's insistence of stopping by our table what seemed like every 3 or 4 minutes to clear our plates when we were not finished eating! This happened literally 10 times during the course of our meal. The food was fine, although honestly overpriced, but the liquor prices were obscene. However, the most embarrassing and, frankly, inexcusable part of our evening happened when we were enjoying our after dinner coffees/capacchinos. Mind you, we ordered our coffees after we were given our check--we weren't asked if we would like anything else, just given the check after dinner, a clear sign that we were wanted to leave, but most of us wanted coffee and ordered it. We were not "lingering" by any means; in fact, there were two open tables of the same size as ours nearby, but we were asked by the manager if we would mind moving our "conversation" to the bar in exchange for him buying a drink. I worked in the restaurant and hospitality industry for many years, and that is simple not done.....you never, ever tell patrons to move their conversation to another location, unless there is a behavior/noise issue, which there was not......your restaurant, for some reason, did not want to use the other nearby tables to accommodate the next reservation; we were told that a "party with a reservation is waiting for your table"--again, a no no; never, ever make your guests feel unwelcome or attempt to be tactful when telling them to get the hell out. We declined the offer for the drink at the bar, paid our over $300+ bill and left. My guests were furious at the treatment, all evening then the final indignity by the manager asking us to leave. I can assure you that the six women with me will never be inclined to return, and I myself would have a hard time returning after our evening was ruined. All we could talk about was the rude waiter who insisted in taking away our food before we were done eating (not once, mind you, but literally about TEN times collectively to the seven of us during the evening), then the "tactful" attempt to get us the hell out at the end of the evening were simply a disgrace. Restaurants simply do not survive treating its patrons that way, folks, so I would strongly suggest a remedial manners lesson for your staff or business will very quickly and swiftly dry up. read more

Met friends from out of town for drinks. The bartender charged us $15 a piece for a vodka redbull. She was courteous enough to leave the cans for us to finish. Thats outrageous. I refuse to ever give them money again. Ive also eaten here on occasion, food is good, but for the price there are better places in town. read more

The owner was extremely unaccommodating and rude. Even the hostesses seemed appalled by the way he spoke to me. My daughter was almost in tears. I have never been spoken to in such a degrading manor and on what was supposed to b such a special day-my daughters college graduation and Mothers Day We made reservations a month in advance and had planned what was supposed to b a very enjoyable and memorable dinner. Unfortunately our experience was a negative one. What apparently set off his abhorrent behavior was that I had politely and kindly asked if we could come in and be seated 30 mins earlier. It was not in anyway demanded! We were asked to wait outside where we waited patiently and quietly and were then seated about 20 mins later all the way in the back of the restaurant( when I had requested a month earlier to b seated up front by the open windows) with 9 people jammed in a booth and another table pushed up against it! This was after we saw a table being cleared in the front near the open windows which would have accommodated our party of 9. Instead he sat another party there who walked in after us! Once seated We waited for over an hour and a half and still had not received our meals while 2 other parties behind us both came at the same time and had eaten and left already. We decided to leave without eating and after everything the manager still made us pay for the very few drinks that we had. We quietly and graciously paid. I would never give him my business again Nor would I recommend the restaurant to anyone! The owner has absolutely no class whatsoever My husband and I travel all over the world and have never been treated this way especially by an owner! It is an absolute disgrace that an owner would create such a negative experience for a first time customer I did receive a phone call the next day from BaBa the general manager who seemed genuinely upset over what had happened. And he reimbursed us the $40 we had paid for drinks. I appreciated the call very much as my daughter and I and the rest of the party had still been distressed over the incident. I only wish Baba had been there to speak with us the day of the incident I am sure things would have turned out differently. To the owner:Karma has no menu u get served what u deserve read more

Banish this place. The owner is rude, mistreats his staff and is condescending to his female employees. He was berating them in front of us as we waited to be seated. Our server was very nice and tried her best. Unfortunately we waited for 50 minutes for our entrees to arrive. The veal was inedible - like cardboard and my daughter's fish dish was ice cold. When we asked to see the manager (who turned out to be the owner) he managed to muster a semi apology and asked what we wanted him to do. Seriously? I suggested he not charge us for food we could not eat, so he did not charge us for the three entrees. No offer to do anything else. He grabbed the plates from the table and walked away. On our way out we asked a few staff members how they could work there - they clearly were afraid of him. So, bad food, under managed kitchen and nasty owner. Go somewhere, anywhere else. Please. read more

If you are looking for a nice place to go in the beautiful town of West Chester PA, this is not the place you want to go. First, let me start by saying that their management is the WORST I have ever seen in my entire life. The manager I spoke with was rude, nasty, and down right mean. He was completely unprofessional and rose his voice multiple times in our conversation (too the point that he was screaming in my face.) I've worked in the restaurant business for 7 years now and I know that the way he handled my customer service was completely inappropriate. I have visited this restaurant before and for the most part enjoyed my interaction with their bartenders and wait staff. However, each time their managers have been complete jerks. I advise you to never book a reservation with this restaurant because it will be completely disregarded and not recognized at all. This place is in need of some serious new management, as their managers are not properly trained in customer service. read more

My family made reservations for a Mother's day brunch. We were told that 10 am was the only available time they had for a party of 7. When the group arrived at 9:48 am, they were sent away and asked to come back after 10 am. When we returned at 10:10 am, we were seated at a high top table placed next to the restrooms, kitchen, an elevator and the bar. It was dark and noisy and the staff was still setting up for the brunch. There was a lot of activity in that area and there were booths available within the dining room, so we asked if it would be possible to move our seats. The hostess tried to be accommodating and went to find us an available table. The manager came to our table while she was gone and told us that they had over 500 reservations for that day, and that they planned out the tables for the entire day so he was not going to let us switch tables. In the meantime, the hostess came back and reported that there was another table they could move us to. The manager, whisked her away by the arm and told her that they weren't making table changes. I have never witnessed behavior like that from a restaurant manager. That set the tone for the entire dining experience. The food was served cold and was obviously pre cooked. It was a total disappointment. read more

Our waiter was very deceptive in the way he helped us order appetizers. We asked him to help us with appetizers and he told us he would make us up an antipasto platter with a little bit of this and that. We were really looking forward to it. We got a ton of food, but in the end, he charged us for six different appetizers without telling us they were all going to be separate. There were five of us out to dinner for two of our friends' birthdays. Two of the ladies ordered the flat bread special and ate a sliver out of it. They both said it was salty and very dry. When the waiter collected the plates, he asked how things were and they said it was just okay, but he didn't probe into it any further. Obviously not noticing two whole flat breads practically still on the plates. We didn't want to ruin our friends' birthdays so nothing was said and the bill was paid, but I called when I got home. I spoke with the manager who seemed eager to have us come back on the house, but told me I would have to speak with the owner and he would call me the next day. He did not call me the next day and when I called back, I was told he was out of town and would call me on Tuesday. Dinner was on Friday night. I never heard back from him on Tuesday and had to call again. He offered us $60 in gift certificates to come back and try them again, but we settled on $75. I had to call back to ask for the certificates to be mailed. I also called to ask to speak with the manager because I still was not happy and did not want to try the places again. Three of us paid for dinner and I do not want a gift certificate. I am still really angry by what the waiter did and how the owner handled things. I do not want to go back to this restaurant again. read more

It's a nice atmosphere with a great selection of wines. Since it was our first time visiting this restaurant, my friend and I opted for tapas/small plates versus a large meal. The food was delicious. We had the daily flat bread, a sampling of meats and cheeses, bruschetta, and a salad. I forget the bottle of red wine I ordered, but it was fantastic and not overly priced for a restaurant. The only downside was it was really noisy and crowded. There was a Sweet Sixteen event upstairs which sounded as if a bunch of cattle were stampeding over our heads. Additionally, we were seated at a table in the right next to a booth with very little room in between. The host (manager perhaps?) must have known the person seated in the booth next to us because he talked to them for some time with his rear end faced towards us. Not a bad view, but not something I would like to see while I'm enjoying a meal. I will most likely visit Teca again to try their happy hour or check out the upstairs section. I hear it offers higher class than most of the bars since the prices are generally much higher than what the average college student can afford in the area. read more

HORRIBLE!!! I went there this past weekend with my husband and 2 year old son. There was only one other table sitting and eating. We sat there for 20 minutes with no service. A couple was sat ten minutes after us and their waitress came right over and got their drinks. Once girl came over and asked if they could light our candle and then walked away. After 25 minutes of no service we got up and walked out. When my husband and son walked out, I witnessed a male server standing at the door laughing about it. As I walked out that same server, and the hostess were just laughing. I cannot believe how ignorant they were. There was only 3 tables seated including us! It's not like it was busy that they couldn't handle the wait. We left Iron Hill because there was a 40 minute wait and I was excited that there was no wait here. Little did I know, there was no wait because they suck. I do not EVER complain about restaurants but this was just horrible. I would never go back there and I will make sure I let everyone know. Their menu was nothing special at all. It was a down grade of Bertucci if you ask me. Save yourself the trouble and go to a nice restaurant. This place was a dump! read more
