I placed an order from Uber Eats. It came incomplete. I ordered the calamari Mediterranean, which on the Uber Eats menu like your physical restaurant says it comes with linguine. I am including the description from your page on Uber Eats so you see. It was delivered without linguine there wasn't even the side salad that used to come with it or even a slice of bread. I called twice and whoever the young woman is answering the phone is rude. And no I was not nice to her. I will admit that because I do not respond to rude her response was "what do you want me to do about it" and that's paraphrasing, but that was the message . We don't deliver she says. I know you don't deliver. The problem wasn't the delivery. The problem was the order. And no, I'm not driving more than half an hour to come pick up a replacement order when I wanted to treat myself to delivery from Fiorello's. And her whole attitude of what do I expect her to do about? It is simply not acceptable. That's what I can't get past. She could've actually just apologized. Does she want me to explain a restaurant and what front of house does when there's a problem? We've been customers for years. And every once in a while we order via Uber Eats. And I don't understand how your own kitchen doesn't know that this comes with linguine or any kind of pasta that's plain that you put the calamari over? But above all else, I don't do rude on the phone. And again she would not have gotten an edge in my voice if she had just been polite to me instead of me getting the whole attitude if she doesn't really want to be there on a Sunday night and talk to anybody on the phone or help people. Small indoor dining area and a bigger outdoor dining space. It's really loud when crowded, which it will be @ the 6-7 o'clock dinner time. The adult beverages are very good pours. I have never come across more aggressive service in my life (and I'm pretty sure they are the owners!) When I called in, they made it seem like I was being a huge pain for ordering a pizza. When I got there, my order wasn't ready and they told me to have a seat or wait in my car. I guess that was fine but I'm not used to being aggressively told what to do. This couldn't have been COVID related because no one was wearing masks. While I was waiting in my car, the owner kept opening the door to the restaurant, glaring at me and then spitting on the ground. I was scared to go in (lol) but when I did I tried to sign the receipt and tip and the woman goes "you don't need to sign, we don't need your $2" (what!) The pizza was mediocre. Everything is so homey and screams italian comfort. From the moment you walk through the door you are transported to the italian countryside where your italian grandmother resides. The food is also reminiscent of an italian grandmothers cooking, tasting very fresh and homemade. Their foccia is to die for, being so extremely garlicky and savory, while also being perfectly crispy and light. I had their Penne Alla Arrabiata with italian sausage and it was perfectly fresh and aromatic. The prices are a tad high, as many italian restaurants are, but honestly the portions are so large and the quality is so fresh that I believe that it is worth every penny. We ate here a few months ago and somehow the review fell under my radar which is disappointing since I can't remember our entire order to rave about it, but it's definitely worth trying. I remember I had the Risotto Pescatore and it was just amazing! The risotto was perfectly cooked, and everything just went so well together. For an appetizer we had the Bruschetta and again it was so good. I remember having the Cappuccino and thinking it was really good. My wife tried mine and liked it so much she ordered another for herself. I'm completely blanking on what she ordered I think look at my pictures it was the Manicotti, but she really enjoyed it, and her Mother really like her plate as well. If we lived closer we would definitely go more often. The atmosphere of the place was fun and really elevated the experience for us. If you're in the area you should give it a try. read more

We ordered a birthday dinner via UberEats for 90+ year old parents from Cafe Fiorello. They made the food, a driver picked it up and then did not deliver it. Cafe Fiorello was so amazing in response -- they worked closely with us (we were calling them from many states away), remade the whole meal and made sure it made it for the birthday. Every bite was loved and we can't appreciate the thoughtfulness and customer service more. THANK YOU for making some 90 year olds very happy! read more

Not only was the food delicious, but I have to relate a quick story: I do not live in the Philly area, but ordered a meal to be delivered to my parents for a 94th birthday dinner through Uber Eats. The driver picked up the meal but never delivered it. I guess it just smelled too good. An hour later, with no meal delivered to my parents, I called and found out what happened. Cafe Fiorello immediately offered to remake the meal for free (it was a fairly elaborate order, with apps, salads, entrees, dessert,) and had it out the door in minutes to another driver, (who did deliver it.) My parents said it was absolutely delicious and I am so grateful to know that there are still businesses who care more about their customers than their bottom line. I NEVER review but felt it necessary for this place. Food is excellent but prepare to bring your patience if you actually get in. Service, service , service is the key to a great dining experience... what is the friggin' deal at this place? Been here twice in as many months, first time the server was unsatisfactory. Rude, passive aggressive, snippy with zero communication skills, a complete waste of time. Don't know where they hired this kid but way too aloof to be a server, put him in the back washing dishes. When asked questions about the menu that required a full answer this waiter gave one word answers with either "yes" or "no". Our group almost left after ordering, that's how uncomfortable, difficult and disappointing it was. Got one small drink at the beginning of dinner with no refills or offers for refills the entire meal. Couldn't find our waiter for over an hour and ended up having to grab another waiter to bring us a second round. Got the takeout portion of the order home to give to my son and the bread they packed in our bag was covered in mold on the bottom. The whole piece. Great stuff here, whatever, MOLD! Don't know why I bothered after that but I did... food is good, so we thought we'd give another try. Second time we got through the meal with no problem and everyone was relatively pleased, but when we got the bill they had an internet outage. Soooooo this restaurant only has two payment options in 2024, cash or card. I haven't carried cash in six months, and nobody at the table had cash. Plus they couldn't take card or cash apps (Venmo, Apple or Cash App) so we had to walk down the block in the pouring rain to hit an ATM. Came back to pay, didn't get any sort of inconvenience break or future discount or anything. The food is decent but wish they'd know how to run the service end of things and treat people like they are special. Okay, so, I still love the buffet here. But I did just recently have a negative experience that I feel is worth updating my review over. For the second year in a row, our local business chose to host our office staff lunch at Fiorello's. We all love the buffet and it is a right of passage that we bring all new hires here for an introductory lunch. So, it does hold a place near and dear to our heart's. This year as we all excitedly trickled over to the restaurant from our office (1 block away), the first coworker from my office to walk in checked in with a male employee from the restaurant. Not sure of what his title was. Host? GM? Who knows. And he was rudely waved away and told "We are really busy! Talk to me when your whole party arrives" meanwhile the rest of our party was walking in behind the first guy. The first person to follow was our GM and he was rather irked by this interaction. He explained multiple times that this was an unacceptable manner to greet someone in. The man was not understanding and was unapologetic. Eventually they got us to our table.. and well it was 2 tables. In the past, they had us all sitting together. Now we were divided up at back to back tables that were crammed together in the corner of the restaurant. Whenever anyone got up for the buffet we ALL had to get up... otherwise we would've been climbing over one another with plates of food coming to and from the buffet. I didn't even get up to eat from the hot food bar because it was just too much of an inconvenience. I ate just salad and dessert.. at a buffet. My wine was good and I enjoyed the company of my coworkers but needless to say we won't return for our holiday lunch in 2024, which is sad. read more

We just moved to the area and was exhausted from moving, so we decided to order in. The Fiorello's menu looked really good so we ordered a large margarita pizza, fried calamari, and a house salad. The delivery time get kept getting pushed back so we figured they had a lot of orders. However, the pizza and the calamari both arrived cool to the touch and we're both soggy. It was obvious that our food had been out for a while before it had been delivered. We've never eaten in the restaurant, just delivery, But from the delivery experience it doesn't make me want to dine in. Used a delivery service which seemed to have some problems with Fiorellos not having received the order, that won't be taken into consideration in this review. Ordered chicken parm and spaghetti. Spaghetti is good, chicken parm is borderline inedible. Hammered thin and dry. Shame that a poor chicken gave its life for this. Nice outdoor dining space. Food was ok. Was expecting authentic Italian, ours was very saucy and cheesy- no standout flavor. Calamari very rubbery, that's a shame. The staff was overly attentive; too frequent checking in and rushing to clear dishes while we were obviously still eating. The biggest surprise came with the check where there was an up charge to use credit. Didn't know that ahead of time. Fees from credit card use is part of the business expense. We have always enjoyed Fiorellos but now we love it even more. Owner Danny's son Danny who is 4 years old made us laugh so much! We sat on the outside patio and were entranced by him and his antics. We brought our dog Dolly and Danny yelled "puppy, puppy" when he saw her. Dolly loved Danny too! The best time was dessert. Little Danny said order the cannoli so we did. but he had one too smothered with whipped cream. He then smashed his face in the whipped cream until it covered his face and sat by Dolly so she could lick his face. I was laughing so hard I almost cried! We had an excellent meal at Fiorello's Cafe on 8/11/18. We were visiting from Cleveland and our friends said hands down, Fiorello's is their favorite restaurant in West Chester. That's saying a lot- there's a ton of great places in that lovely town! My first impression of Fiorello's reminded me of someplace I knew in CLE, so I was warm to it immediately. The staff was friendly, the decor was inviting, and it smelled wonderful. Our meal starts with a bread basket of sliced bread and focaccia, which was more like a slice of pizza with tomato sauce and garlic. Both breads were delicious. I had a cup of wedding soup, which was decent. The house salad wasn't very impressive- not much to it and the dressing was just a simple balsamic. Dinner for me was Chicken Limone and a side of penne with red sauce. I loved the lemon sauce and the pomodoro as well. Pasta was cooked perfectly. The chicken had excellent flavor, wasnt oversauced. Husband liked his gnocchi. The server was nice. The kitchen made the wrong dish for my friends and she didnt catch it, so she naturally blamed the kitchen. As a former server, I don't appreciate the blame game. She should have just apologized and gotten it fixed.She went out of her way to prove it wasn't her mistake. Well.... you still brought the dish so it is kind of your mistake.Just saying. Overall, we thought this was a great meal and a great place. This place has a great reputation for excellent Italian food and honestly, my veal marsala was out of this world! But I am giving this place 2 stars due to the lack of care during the pandemic. We went to eat outside last week for our first outing since March. During our visit we saw the following: No customers wore masks walking to/from the tables. Wait staff only pulled up their face mask at the table and had no gloves. We were given regular menus that I am guessing we're not sanitized. Cloth napkins. Bread basket wasn't even covered. I went to the restroom and saw 3 kitchen employees working with no gloves or face mask. Papertowel dispenser in bathroom was broken, so had to touch a roll of papertowels that others had touched. Yeah, not going back here again. Arrived 7pm, on time for reservation on a Saturday night. Saw at least 5 open tables. We were made to wait 10+ minutes. Next to a door that let in cold air every time it opened. It was right after a snowstorm so it was cold. And they had people coming and going for pick up and we were almost blocking their way. We got seated. Party of 4. Waiter came by for drink requests. Ask for a bourbon neat. Came back with a bourbon on the rocks, shaved ice too. Ordered dinner and apps. Apps came out quickly but the Prosciutto & Melon - the meat was very tough, cut too thick and the melon had seeds in it. The Calamari alla Siciliana was definitely not the frozen little doughnuts but they were too salty and fishy, needed more sauce and garlic. Waiter came with salads, three, but not mine. Showed up a bit later with our meals, but not my salad, had to ask for it. My Vitello Cacciatore - the veal was nice, breaded well, not too crusty, but it was too smothered in sauce that was runny, peppers that were cold and onions that had no flavor. Everyone else seemed to be enjoying their meals. Waiter came by to pick up dishes and drop off check. We had wanted to have some coffee and dessert and chat. Our concerns were more with the cleaning and practices of the restaurant during a pandemic. Much like one of the other recent reviews, we observed the following during our meal: - Menus were not paper and it was not clear when they were last disinfected. No hand sani stations available. Masks were on by the staff but not all were worn properly as they were handling food. - There was a female hair in our bread basket. - As we were paying the bill, we watched someone "clean" the table of another party that had just left. This did not include using any sort of spray disinfectant but instead was a washcloth from a water bucket before the table placements were set again for the next table. If you haven't eaten at Fiorellos, you're doing it wrong. Town was nuts from the tree lighting, and I had my two toddlers with me. They wanted pizza - everyone was slammed, so we went to fiorellos and OMG the pizza is TO DIE FOR! The sauce is amazing, the crust is gummy and delicious - and the staff is fantastic. Much better this time, a little less busy on a weeknight, still busy. Our waiter made a big difference, he was helpful and hustled. We started with two glasses of house cab and calamari. Both were excellent. There was a ton of calamari, nice and tender with little breading. My wife had the rigatoni marimonti, mushrooms, shrimp and a brown cream sauce with peas. I had the lagostino linguini which had 4 large lagostios , 3 large scallops and a lot of smaller shrimp. May have been one of my all time favorite pasta dishes. I came across Fiorello's one day as my wife and were looking for a place to try on Yelp! After reading the reviews, it seemed like a place that would be a safe bet for good food, and it did not disappoint. We arrived at 7:30p on a Saturday night without a reservation, and weren't sure if we would be able to get in, but luckily we were. We were greeted by the abundance of servers and hosts when we walked in a promptly seated. A quick review of the menu showed they were reasonably price ($15-$25 per entree on average), and that they had about 100 options for dinner. We decided to try the chicken parm and the veal piccata as our meals. Both meals included salads (house or caesar) and they provide you with a warm bread basket while waiting (homemade italian bread and 'tomato pie' included). Our food all arrived quickly and was cooked well. For dessert we ordered tiramisu but soon found out they were out of it. We couldn't decide between the napolean or the canolli so they gave us both and only charged us for one. Both were good too! In short, we had great service, with really good food (flavor and portion) and would recommend others try this out. In the west chester area, I would rank Fiorello's right behind Limoncello, but ahead of Nonna's or any of the other chain restaurants nearby. read more
