Forgetting to bring out extra plates when I said we were going to split something, coming with the check before we even discussed desert. We split the gnocchi with added shrimp for protein. Although the food was good for some reason, the table, water smelt and tasted musty, could not drink it. And the Kids meals are $15 for a kids meal 12 and under so if you're trying to take your family out, it is not reasonable $15 for chicken tenders and french fries fries. Oh it comes with a Kids drink and supposedly ice cream, but we never saw any nor where we offered it. And there are no cheaper options on the menu for your children. Definitely won't be dining in again. If anything would get the meals for takeout so we don't have to pay that kind of money for kids chicken fingers. read more

Great little mom-and-pop restaurant with a warm, neighborhood feel. They recently expanded the space, and it shows--from the additional tables to the dedicated area for larger parties, the layout now feels much more accommodating. There are cozy booths for smaller groups and a well-organized pickup counter that keeps takeout traffic moving smoothly. It's BYOB, but they offer a solid selection of espresso drinks, soft drinks, and teas to round things out. We started with the mozzarella sticks, which were crisp on the outside with a nice, stretchy pull--simple but well executed. The chicken parm was a standout: tender cutlet, well-seasoned sauce, and just the right amount of cheese. The penne vodka was comforting and rich without feeling overly heavy, and the bread they serve is the kind you keep reaching for without thinking. The only miss for us was the tortellini; the flavor profile was a bit off and didn't quite come together the way the other dishes did. The prices were reasonable and matched the quality. Update. 11/9/25. I increased my Floga's rating to 4 stars. Floga is now basically complying with the PA Surcharge law by charging 3.99 % surcharge, however many card cos. charge businesses less than 4% and actually Floga is still not complying unless they plan on refunding the difference to each customer. Question. Why should I pay a technology fee? If it is a business expense it should be added to the cost of doing business however Floga only charges a surcharge when someone uses a credit card?? THIS IS A SURCHARGE. Next is Floga' going to charge for toilet paper and call it Environmental Fee. When Floga reduces the surcharge to 0% or fully complies with PA laws, I'll increase my rating to 5 star. Update: On 11/1, I filed a complaint with the PA Attorney Generals office. ***** 11/1/25. I will never go back to Floga Bistro. WHY IS FLOGA CHARGING 5% TECH FEES (credit card fees) when CCard merchant fees range from 1.5 to 3.5%. We like the FLOGA food however, I refuse to be robbed by a restauranteur. While cc surcharge is legal in PA, surcharges cannot exceed 4% of transaction amount or actual processing cost. Great service and the decor was classic for an Italian restaurant. Food came out decently fast. The bread was alright. Not the best and not too shabby. Black and blue mussels: 5/5 great mussels and that touch of cheese is delicious. Very fresh and floral. Pappardelle a la Toscana: 4/5 creamy and flavorful. Solid pasta. Short Rib: 2/5 flavors are alright. Nothing special; similar to some beef stews. What really irks me is that these were "boneless" short ribs. We dined here last before heading to Longwood Gardens. Atmosphere: bright Service: Taylor was ok. She made suggestions and answered questions I asked. Food: Boneless beef short ribs with a baked potato and house vegetables, which were zucchini,squash,onions, and bell peppers. The food came out warm. The meat was flavorful and tender, the baked potato was microwaved for too long so some parts were hard and the vegetables were good. They charged what was called a "TECHNOLOGY FEE" if you used a card to pay. I frown against businesses that do this. I didn't recall a sign posted anywhere stating that this fee would be assessed if you don't use cash. Overall, I was satisfied with my meal. The food is always delicious here! Homemade ravioli. Delicious bread. Our only complaint is that we had reservations and waited for ten minutes at our table. A sweet waitress noticed and came over telling us that no one in management would tell her who OUR waitress was! Really enjoyed our stay here - came for dinner after celebrating an anniversary at a local winery. We were met with excellent service sitting outside on the patio and were served freshly baked bread and oil, exactly the atmosphere we were looking for. As an appitizer we had the Stuffed Portabellas (a great autumn dish!) - 3 good size mushroom tops covered with spinach, peppers, and cheese. We also split a mista side salad - absolutely loved the addition of kalamata olives, which not every restaurant does. For entrees, we had Tortellini Milano and Pollo Villagio. The tortellini Milano had broccoli and mushrooms in a fantastic blush vodka sauce. The Pollo Villagio was delicious, filled with sausage and chicken in such a large portion it was unable to be finished and we had to take it home. 3 of us had dinner at Floga Bistro at recomendation of a staff member at Longwood Gardens. It was closeby, good food and not super expensive. We spent a very hot and humid afternoon at Longwood and needed a cool and relaxing spot for a simple dinner. One person had pizza with mushroom and pepperoni, another had penne pasta dish with veggies and side salad, and I had floga panini which had peppers, eggplant, tomato in chapata bread with fries. The pizza was good. The pasta dish was very tasty. The salad and dressing was very good. I really liked the panini. We all shared the fries which were tasty especially with the marinara dipping sauce. Also had byob beer. We took left overs home as it was good portions. My friend made a New Years Eve reservation here via open table as it was centrally located for all that were coming for dinner. A BYOB that offers a dining room as well as take out including pizza. Located close to Longwood Gardens. Our server was great. Some of my friends enjoyed their meals, some of them thought it was more meh. I had the seafood scampi with penne and I felt that there was a lack of flavor. I thought it was just me but another one of my table mates got it and had the same feedback. The scallops were a little overcooked as well. I actually didn't even eat all of my scallops and shrimp because I just wasn't into it. The penne was fine though, so I ate most of that and just left some of the seafood. That would typically never happen :-( Dessert reminds me of an old school restaurant (which I love) where they bring out a sample tray of all the offerings and you can see what the actual dishes look like. I picked the baklava, which I know is Greek, but I though why not. It was dry as a bone and on the hard side. The total opposite of what baklava should be. Wow!! What a find! We found this on our way to Longwood Gardens, but it would be worth the drive to just eat here. We started with the delicious Zuppa di Pesce. The seafood was fresh and cooked to perfection. The sauce was excellent. Next we had a Margherita pizza. Crispy crust, delicious sauce, quality mozzarella and fresh basil. Very, very good. The stuffed portabellas was fantastic. Probably the best balsamic reduction I've ever had. Large portion of 3 mushrooms, yummy stuffing of spinach and roasted red peppers topped with good quality provolone. The dinner rolls were fresh and served warm. We had the baklava for dessert because it was made in house. Sweet, flaky gooey deliciousness. I highly recommend Floga! read more

I had the spaghetti with meatballs. It was billed as Spaghetti W/ Meatballs with Bolognese sauce if your not familiar with bolognese recipe is not as heavily based on tomatoes as typical Italian-American meat sauces. In fact, the meat is cooked with white wine, milk, and chicken stock in addition to tomatoes. This was flat out tomato sausage maybe right from a can. It lacked flavor and depth that the bolognese on the menu boasted. . The meatballs were tiny golf balls very dense. Service was fast friendly it was very busy because of the Longwood Christmas show. I cannot remember the last time I was in a restaurant where not one, but two, of the dishes were utterly inedible. We started with the calamari which was so overcooked you could hardly chew it - which explains why the table across from ours also left theirs untouched. I ordered the salmon Mediterranean which, not surprisingly, was overcooked and swimming in so much oil The salmon I ordered looked and tasted like cat food they should have sent a lifeguard to our table. But not only was the food terrible but the restaurant closes at 8:30. Here's the thing. We made a reservation for 6 people at 7:30pm. Why take a reservation for SIX PEOPLE if your restaurant closes an hour later??? This meant that while we were eating the waiters were spraying down the tables, sanitizing the booths, mopping the floor, and noisily crashing left over plates into a bin all the while giving us dirty glances as the clueless people who deigned to still be in their restaurant. And the worst part is, it wasn't a cheap meal. It's BYOB and still it was pricey for what we ate. $26 for an entree that's utterly inedible? .I hardly ever write reviews but I just can't believe what a horrible experience this was. read more

I should have known when I walked in at 7:30 and no one was in there. I had ordered ahead for takeout and when I got back to my hotel room found that they hadn't included any utensils or even a napkin. It wouldn't have been so bad if I had ordered a sandwich, but I ordered a $16 salad. Kind of tough to eat that with your hands. Service was fine, food was solid but nothing special. Most in our party of six enjoyed the pasta, but I'm not sure it was a good value. For example, the ravioli is just that. Five ravioli with no side dishes or salad. My panini wasn't. It was just a sandwich, not even warm. And the ciabatta roll was so hard or stale it hurt my mouth. Left half of it. Hard rolls with olive oil were offered. The rolls are very salty and the oil didn't taste like it was good quality. It's a little loud inside, maybe due to the tile? I had a good dinner here with the fam while I was in town about a week and a half ago. It was a brisk evening and big snow flakes were still falling when we pulled up to the restaurant. There were 5 of us in the group, my brother, his wife and kids and myself and we were seated almost immediately. We ordered drinks and some fried cheese sticks. Our server returned with the drinks and the first of several baskets of hot rolls and she took our order. My brother and I both ordered Chicken Parmesan. His wife ordered a seafood pasta dish that looked especially good and the kids ordered pizza and spaghetti & meatballs. Shortly after placing the order our cheese sticks arrived along with a second basket of bread and we all shot the breeze while waiting for our entrees. The service was good and the lady taking care of us kept our drinks topped off and checked on us regally. After a short wait the entree's arrived and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at the size of my meal. It was huge. I enjoyed mine, and my brother had no complaints either. His wife wasn't happy with her seafood pasta though, she said it was bland. The kids scarfed up their meals as well. When they were done they had some sort of chocolate gelato for desert. All in all a good little meal. We were in and out in about 90 minutes and had a few leftovers to take home. I'd definitely visit again. read more

We stopped by at this place for lunch before going to Longwood. It doesn't look fancy from the outside and is a strip mall but let me say this is some of the best Italian food I've ever had. We had a mushroom appetizer that was absolutely delicious! Some of us got meals or sandwiches and salads and we all said the same thing. EXCELLENT! The service was amazing also. We went around 2pm at the end of the lunch rush so it was a nice quiet time to enjoy great food and atmosphere. I highly recommend a visit before or after visiting Longwood gardens. As a gluten intolerant person eating out is always a gamble. Often restaurants list GF items because the ingredients are GF but the kitchen and staff do not understand cross contamination. Our visit to Floga was not the case. The GF pizza was awesome and the staff even knew what salad dressings were safe. Every dish GF or not was enjoyed by our party.
