It was a very busy Saturday afternoon. After having some Thai food a few suites over we decided to walk over to grab some boba drinks. We were able to place our order on the kiosk and the atmosphere was chill. The crew all looks happy and was working with a sense of urgency. The drinks were all yummy and hit the spot for our boba craving.

this location is a common pit stop on my long drives. on my recent stop, i tried the thai tea for the first time. it comes with boba, which is perfectly soft, chewy and warm on first sip. my go-to is the liquid gold, though. i love the honey oolong tea with cream. pro tip - download and order on the app to reduce wait times, collect loyalty points and get coupons!

I used to come here all the time and really enjoyed their boba, especially with coconut milk. But recently, they told me they no longer substitute 2% milk for coconut milk. When I asked about it, the "manager" was very rude and dismissive, saying she couldn't make the change without any real explanation. I don't understand why -- I'm a paying customer and have ordered it this way many times before. To make things worse, they wouldn't even let me use the restroom while I was there. Overall, the service has really gone downhill. It's disappointing because I used to really like this place, but after this experience, I don't think I'll be coming back.

I had realized I had not written a review for this specific Teaspoon -- but I've been coming to this location from the Bay EVERYTIME I'm in the Central Valley! This is the one AND only Teaspoon within Stanislaus County (yes, they're opening one in Tracy soon.... But until then). Service: 5/5 (probably even more at this point)... I've been coming to this specific location for regular boba runs, cup-sleeve events... and I've gotta say, they treat their customers right. The owner, Quinn, is very friendly and helpful, and she REALLY does make the job feel like it's a chill time not only for herself but also for the customers. She is the "definition" of making it RIGHT for her patronsas. Boba: 5/5 Their boba is top-notch... sourced from the finest and their tea-leaves are ACTUALLY real! Did you know that for cup sleeve events, they make special drinks on top of the actual drinks that they sell? That's like a WIN WIN right there! Awesome marketing and they're very active on their Instagram :) Environment: 4/5 Modesto is known for a lot of speeding cars... but that does not give Modesto residents an excuse to speed in the plaza. They do have an In N Out nearby which results in making it harder for other customers who want to get boba... a little harder than usual. Overall, a 10/10 everytime I come visit! Y'all should go visit if you're ever in Modesto xD

I LOVE THIS teaspoon the drinks are AMAZING!!! That's my to go place with my bestie!!! The employees are always so kind and welcoming, always treat you nicely. And I love going there to study!

Had to update my review after trying a 0% sugar drink. I got a custom-made lemonade with guava and passion fruit. The fruit flavors were perfectly tart and sweet on their own making the lemonade packed with flavor! Teaspoon's staff was super helpful with picking flavor combinations for my indecisive self. After ordering, my drink came out quickly.

I am certainly no stranger to Teaspoon and am happy to see a familiar boba spot in Modesto. It definitely opens up my options when my thirst needs to be quenched. It is easy to find located in a non busy plaza with plenty of parking. The establishment is upkept and clean. You have the option of ordering from the kiosk or with one of the workers. It's pretty spacious inside and had plenty of seating. It wasn't too busy and drinks were made quickly. Workers seemed friendly and had a smile. I ordered the matcha strawberry latte with crystal boba and couldn't pinpoint exactly what it was but their drink was the best that I've had at any Teaspoons. It was more concentrated and flavorful.

I got the house tea with 25% sweetness with grass jelly and strawberry sangria with 25% sweetness. I don't think I would get the house tea again, there's not much of a tea flavor, it's very faint. The strawberry sangria is alright, 25% sweetness is perfect because the drink is sweeter by the strawberry puree and aloe. However, I rated this place pretty highly because it's a very nice place to study/work with ample outlets, and tables. (3 sets of outlets along the booth seating) Most people take the tea to go it looks like, so there were plenty of empty tables at 1pm on a Sunday.

Enjoyed this by the pool, great flavor and very refreshing!

If you want great customer service, amazing flavors and a taste of the Bay Area, then this is your spot! We even took some home to enjoy later. The owner, Quynh, is also very personable and you can tell she cares about her customers. Highly recommend this business!

When I tell you this was the best customer service I've ever had in my life. I walked into to Quynh (I hope it spelled it right) smiling at me while cleaning up the counter from a previous order. She proceeded to give me time to look over the menu and then started asking all the right questions at the right time. "Have you been to teaspoon before?" "Do you know how or menu works?" Would you like a sample?" Actually I would like a sample. She gave me a Lychee's breeze and it was a very refreshing flavor. I love things that surprise my taste buds. For background I love combinations that are unexpected and dangerously good. We started talking about the flavor profiles and she leads us into a break down on the differences between flavors of each drink on each row at perfect pace. You could tell she fully believes that you will like something. She has no doubt that everyone will like something on the menu and she is right! I ended up taking her suggestion (yes if you give her what you're leaning towards and why ,she will set you on the correct drink). I ended up ordering a Vietnamese Frappé. If you like a melting of flavors in your mouth then definitely try that one. The first sip starts off with bold and drop into a bitter coffee taste, but by the time you register it it's gone, and you then get a creamery version of coffee and then by the time you have those melding together your hit with the sea salt cream. It all comes together like a beautiful melody of flavors in your mouth. It's got changing flavors and comfort level way of filling you up. I had energy ALLLL day from it. I'm craving it as I'm writing it. I am not even going to lie. If I could doordash it to me cities away I would. I really would.

The tea is decent, especially considering the area. Modesto isn't quite the tea hub, but this one is at the top. The milk tea can occasionally fall into the "cereal/sugar milk" flavor that some teas I've had fall victim to. They're pretty solid most of the time at least, just at 75% sweetness.

Silky Mango and Classic Thai Tea

First time here and we really enjoyed the selection. We tried the Thai Tea and the Silky Mango. The teas come in one size, but the staff was kind enough to split the Silky Mango into two so my child could have some, which I really appreciated. We'll definitely be back!

Finally! Another boba shop to add on the lineup that the Modesto 209 lacks of. Not a lot of "big boba chains" in the area so it is nice to see something that has a good reputation from its other locations. I came on Grand Opening day and saw a line coming outside the door. I arrived late but they had raffles, free samples, giveaways, and other prizes. On top of that, it was BOGO all drinks! A promotion that allows you to explore the menu without making a big dent to your bank. The line moved very slow, which was expected. They were backed up on large orders and still getting the hang of the system. Kudos to the staff for working diligently and working their best to keep up with the demand. They had a decent amount of seating, and the place was vibrant with the decorations and flooring. I ordered the House Milk Tea, Liquid Gold, Creamy Jasmine, and the Matcha Royale. All of the drinks were very tasty and had a great tea fragrance upon taste. Perfect ratio of sweetness and ice (as I requested) and not overpowering with the milk.

I was very surprised when I saw they were opening a potato stop since I recently moved here from the Bay Area where we had potato corner. I ordered the giga sour cream and onion loopy fries. Their menu included boba, flavored fries, and Korean corndog. I decided to order their flavored fries (large, regular fries w/ cheddar cheese seasoning) and a large drink. I got my receipt and drink, sat down and waited for my order to be ready. Two more set of customers came after us. Now, those customers got their orders ahead of ours. Looked at the time I put in my order and I've been waiting for more that 20 mins for my fries to be ready. I came up and asked what's taking so long and when is my order going to be ready. He said it's coming, and so I told him I've been waiting for almost 30 mins now at that time and I only ordered fries while those other customers after me got their orders already (I know this because they were sitting next to me). He then told me that they only ordered drinks that's why they got theirs quicker. So I then said they also order fries and corndog. The guy and the girl next to him was in no way going to be told their service was slow, inefficient and not only that looked clueless on what they're actually doing so I stopped arguing. After a few more minutes, they finally finished my order and also about to hand me a drink in which I told them I already got it when I ordered and paid earlier, confused look followed. The large fries I had is in a large container with a paper that holds the fries. I lifted it and I was bamboozled because that paper was tiny compared to the container it's placed in, so you get less amount of what was actually supposed to be LARGE! The cheddar cheese powder was overwhelming, and they need to do some fries:cheese powder ratio adjustment because it was salty and overpowering. I get that this business wanted to be different in this food court, but if you continue with this service and mentality then you will lose customers. I have had flavored fries before, and this does not compare. They need to re-evaluate their customer service, how they need to be prompt with their orders, listen to their customers, and how to make what's in their menu.
