From the beginning, it was a classic case of Murphy's Law. The technician arrived alone and informed us that his helper was not coming; he would need to call for assistance. Due to the Galveston County windstorm and regulations from the Texas Department of Insurance, the compressor had to be strapped down, or we risked losing our insurance. They have sent technicians out three times, yet they still do not know how to properly bolt it to the pad. The last technician suggested that we needed a builder to complete the job.
During this time, we were in communication with the CEO, Miles, after I posted a review on this site. He requested that I remove the review and assured me he would resolve the issues, but nothing has been fixed.
The original installer made a mistake by enabling the refrigerant shut-off override, which caused the blower motor to run continuously for almost a month--I'm dreading the electric bill. The second technician damaged the compressor's evaporator coils while attempting to bolt it to the cement pad with sheet metal screws, which also caused the fan blade to be unbalanced, resulting in a loud clanking noise.
I have reached out to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) and the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) to investigate this company for not adhering to code. If I could, I would have the system removed and hire a different company, even if it meant paying more. Yes, I saved money on the system itself, but the installation has been a complete loss. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
As an update, the repairs are still incomplete, so I am having a local company come in to finish the work, as Team Enoch has essentially ghosted us. read more
