I am a tea lover but I have to drink decaf tea though. So most of the time it is very hard to fine a wide selection in decaf teas. Someone not sure even who said there was a great tea shop in Park Ridge. I had a hard time finding it at first. Not on the main drag of Park Ridge. But driving around I finally found it. It is on the other side of the train tracks. Well worth the trip. It is a cute little shop. They were very helpful and brewed up some of the teas I was considering at their tea bar. I love their Earl Grey and they gave me a bunch of idea choices for making ice tea in the summer. They have beautiful tea cups etc. I have been back 2 more times. So if you are in Park Ridge give this shop a try. read more

Super cute shop with a nice sidewalk area that has tables and chairs. They're being really safe with outside seating only. Go inside to order and the staff brings your drink outside to a pick up table. Everyone is always very cheery and knowledgeable. Wish they had more food items like cookies, biscotti, scones. Must be a local baker that can provide treats when folks are lingering outside with friends. read more

A hidden gem I have gone to TeaLula off and on to purchase individual teas. What I did not realize is that TeaLula is a tea bar. I signed up for an Introduction to Loose Leaf Tea class and tasting as a gift for my husband. Sheila who conducted the class was awesome. She is very knowledgeable on the making of Black tea and the production of different varieties of black tea including oolong, green, and white tea. We walked away knowing more about how tea is grown, harvested, and dried and have a greater appreciation for this drink. What we also came to learn is that TeaLula is a busy hang out for tea lovers. I'd love to see TeaLula expand into serving high tea. read more

I went to TeLula a few months ago. The staff was super friendly! This place is adorable! We were able to to taste a few different teas prior to purchase. My favorite are their Jasmines. I will be returning soon with friends for a tasting. Loved the experience! read more

This place is awesome!!! Absolutely love going here. I started going here as of February 2018. Whether it be to catch up with old friends, reading a book, or studying for an exam, this place is good for everything. I'd say this is a gem in Park Ridge. The staff are so friendly and helpful, they also make me feel comfortable during my stay. This is a very easy going place and depending on the time you go it can be chatty or quiet. The set up is very cute and cozy, and the tea is delicious, quite a variety really. Truly a fun place! read more

With their excellent selection of loose leaf teas and knowledgeable / super friendly staff/owners (Shelia)...this place is my first stop for all my tea needs. It's great to have a place like this in the northwest suburbs. read more

We have been on a quest for the perfect teapot for maybe two years... We found it here! Can't wait to go back again. There was a group of older ladies having an afternoon tea, and a teenage couple having iced tea at the bar. I grabbed an iced tea while I was there - a fabulous selection. A real gem in Park Ridge! read more

Great business concept at work here. I use their teas for the iced tea blend, and my wife has her favorites for her hot teas. They have many proprietary tea selections, and they also have a bar where you can order tea to drink in store. This is what a small business should be all about. Teavana and Adagio have nothing on this place. read more

A hidden jem! I love supporting "Mom & Pop" places and this is one of my favorites. The milk teas are fantastic! If you choose to dine in, you're given your own personal tea pot which produces several small cups. Friendly, relaxing atmosphere. Wonderful staff. read more

Let those of us sick and tired of Starbuck's rejoice! It is nice to have a shop that caters to us tea lovers! Good tea, great help! Try the candied almond, pina colada or carnival tea. You won't be disappointed :) read more

I just spent the afternoon here drinking tea and enjoying good conversation. The tea bar is great. I was able to sample a few different types of tea. The atmosphere is very relaxing and it is a fun place to enjoy a great cup of tea. I will definitely be back soon! read more

LOVE this place. The staff is very friendly and the prices are reasonable. We had gotten a tasting through Groupon and we had a good time. The tasting was very informative, hands-on, and probably the best one I have been to. Definitely will come back. read more

I love Tea Lula, and feel really lucky that it's right in my own neighborhood. They carry their own blends and many of them are excellent. A house favorite is a flavored green tea called Currants and Cream. It's a great place to meet a friend for a chat or bring a book. The owner, Sheila, is really nice and she and her staff will brew a mini cup of any tea in the shop a customer asks to sample. As a former Bostonian, I loved going to Tealuxe in Harvard Square and on Newbury St. I think Tea Lula is absolutely on par with them! read more

This place is a must for anyone interested in real tea, brewed by the owner, Sheila, a certified Tea Master. Unlike any of the chains popping up in a local mall, both Sheila and her well-trained staff truly know their teas and will spend as long as a customer needs to find their perfect tea. These people even know the altitude a particular plant is grown at to achieve its perfect picking moment and flavor! You can taste any number of their high-end teas or just sit with a big pot of spiced black tea. What a treat! read more

You have no idea how happy I am to find a great tea room near home. I've been going to tea Lula for years now and I'm always amazed with my experience there. Whether your enjoying a cup of tea in store or are purchasing a gift, only expect to be blown away! I was introduced to Tealula a few years back by a friend. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable! The owners are constantly taking trips to Hawaii and Asia to learn and embrace the culture and science behind great loose leaf tea. Tea Lula is great for gifts or just spoiling yourself :) I recommend Kookaberry Kiwi or Blushing Bride. They even have a great story behind that flavor! There was a wedding party taking pictures on the train tracks by the store, and they gave the bride a small gift of that tea! It's getting cold out and I know where I'll be to warm up this winter! read more

Nice local family owned tea shop. Good quality seasonal loose leaf tea. Store is cute & well run. Give the lemon chiffon a try one of my favorites. A must try for any tea lover. read more

Friendly, warm and inviting place to have tea and purchase good quality tea for home. I highly recommend as a place for great conversation or to relax. Wish it was open later at night and served more pastries. Totally great still. read more

Best place ever! I come into TeaLula occasionally to stock up on unique teas and every time they have something new for me to try. They let you have samples of any tea upon request. They are always so warm and welcoming and I always look forward to each visit! read more

Hands down, love this tea shop. Reminds me of the ones in Ireland and England. The owner and her staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I always find a new "tea love" each time I walk in. The scones are just like the ones my grandmother made years ago. My only word of caution is don't bring little ones. The shop is small and has lots of cute tea accessories that could easily break. If you find a tea you like, ask the reason behind the name. There always is a cute/fun story. read more

I went there Sunday straight off the farmers market to get a cup of tea. It was very busy. Outside looks fancy with people drinking their tea from porcelain cups. Inside it's more homey. You can get all sorts of tea and tea related equipment. Did not buy anything since it was busy, but I might come back. read more

I love this place! It's super cute and has every tea imaginable. Every time I've been there the people working have been super nice and always can recommend cool teas I've yet to try. Definitely go get some tea and lounge about if you have time! read more

Tea Lula is one of those rare, once in a lifetime finds. It truly is a blessing to be so near an establishment such as this one. The people there are all great individuals who work there because they absolutely love tea, not because they needed a job. Their knowledge on everything about tea is awe inspiring. You never truly grasp what an amazing drink this is until they open your eyes into the world of tea. If you don't want to talk about tea, they can strike up a conversation about almost anything. This isn't just a place of business, its like a family, a home away from home. It always feels when I'm thee as if I'm on a great vacation. The tea itself is some of the best I have tried. I am a man who definitely enjoys his tea, and the tea at tealula is truly great. The aroma, the texture, the color, absolutely everything is top notch. The owner is truly a lover of tea who opened a tea shop business, not a businesswoman who decided to make money using tea. She does not skip out on quality, and only gets the best, pure, organic tea. For that, I thank her greatly. This small tea shop is practically a national landmark to me, if I had to choose to bring a foreigner to only 5 locations in America, this tea shop will have to be one of them. It is truly that great. read more

I absolutely love this place. The staff are always very friendly and knowledgeable and offer you samples of tons of different teas! The tea is great and they have a huge variety, and the whole place is clean and bright. This is a great place to go to meet up with friends or just grab something on the go! read more

I thought this place would be more like a cafe, but it's more like a tea store that also serves drinks. The staff member my friend and I talked to was friendly and knowledgable, and he was able to recommend several great summery drinks. I very much enjoyed my George sweet peach iced tea! read more

Fun place for tea to drink on the spot or take home. My kids love this place, and we often visit after church.

Lovely little tea shop! I took a tea tasting class here, and both the class and the woman who taught it were delightful. I had a great time with the small group I was in, and I learned a lot about tea and how to make it. We didn't realize the shop was closing when the class was over, so we sat around chatting. The employees were very kind and patient, even though I'm sure we delayed their cleaning and closing process! I would wholeheartedly recommend Tea Lula to anyone who likes tea or it interested to try it! read more

The teas are delicious and the service is excellent! They will brew up anything you would like to try before purchasing which I greatly appreciate. They also have a small tea bar where you can order any of their teas - this I have yet to try, but looks fun. Would recommend this sweet little shop to all the tea lovers! read more

Great place to purchase loose leaf tea of all varieties and cute accoutrements. Lovely, relaxing space to enjoy a cup of fresh brewed tea. You can select any tea in the house to enjoy at the bar or at a table inside our outside. read more

I had a great time at TeaLula yesterday. My group was there for a Matcha class.I know a little about tea however I learned so much more. Sheila, who is the owner was wonderful and very informative. We learned the differences between different types of Matcha and had samples. You definitely get what you pay for. Will be signing up for more classes soon. Great tea shop and experience!!! read more

I have been going here for about a year now. The tea is way overpriced and when you walk in, everyone stops talking. The customer service needs an adjustment. For example, recently, I became unable to drink caffeine and herbal teas, but still wanted a nice, warm drink. I ordered steamed milk and everyone looked at me like I was crazy and they still charge me $4.50 for it. Next time I'll just go to Starbucks so at least the service will be better in the workers will not look at me like I'm a zoo animal when I place an order. Or I'll just go to the grocery store to order a gallon of milk for $2.99 and microwave it myself. Won't be going back there again. read more

Amazing tea shop in park Ridge. The owners and staff are extremely friendly and they offer many different kinds of tea. I'm addicted to all of there delicious iced teas with a shot of matcha read more

Tealula is simply, the best. Sheila, Ryan, Page, and all the others know alot about what their selling and brewing up. They are friendly, smart, and will crack you up with some funny story for sure:) If your not even a tea drinker, you will find something there that you like. They have a selection of teas thats not too big and not to small. You won't spend hours pouring over which tea to get, but you won't spend a second choosing 1 out of 3 options either. The tea bar is a nice place to sit at and the whole shop is decorated very stylishly. Anybody who complains about being asked to leave after staying too long at the bar deserves an IQ check. The shop has limited seating and Sheila just can't afford to have patrons sitting around drinking $3 teas and talking for hours. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to see that either. Not to mention it being the courteous and polite thing to do, so as not to intrude on others who would like to sit at the bar. The shop has the best teas as well....full of flavor and just a blast to sample. Do yourself a favor and take a visit. You won't regret it. read more

This place is like Cheers for non-alcoholic, tea-loving ladies. The selection is amazing, the staff treat you like a long-time friend, and there are usually fun little events going on during the holidays. They used to get freshed bake goods from the bakery around the corner, but it has since closed. It's a little on the pricey side but it's worth every penny. read more

Love this place! They have about 200 different kinds of loose leaf tea, including some great blends I haven't found elsewhere--and they will make you samples of anything you want to try! They also have a little cafe counter where they'll serve up chai lattes (for that matter, any kind of tea latte you want) or brew you a little pot of tea while you hang out with friends. Prices are usually around $8/50 grams of black tea (though they vary quite a bit for some of the more exotic varieties). Not bad for what you get. There are also several teapots and accessories available. Friendly staff, great tea, and a really nice place; I'm hooked. 9/13/2016 Update: I went in one day to pick up a bag of my favorite tea, only to discover it had been discontinued. One of the staff members suggested a few possible options, and I sampled them, but none of them was quite what I was looking for. I got chatting with the owner, and next thing you know, she offered to contact the blender who'd made the discontinued tea for them and see if he could make a small batch! (Can you imagine getting that kind of customer service at Starbucks?!) I now have a bunch of my favorite delicious tea, and TeaLula has won my lifetime loyalty. read more

I love this place!!! Every kind of tea you can think of. Beautiful decor. Wonderful staff. And there is a counter where people sit and TALK to each other. Check it out! read more

Cute little shop! Very knowledgeable staff and they have a good selection considering their size.

Enjoy going here to find special green teas. Never disapponted in the selection or quality of tea.

Love this place. As local as it gets and a terrific option to any of the chains. Instead of meeting for coffee locally, I try to meet clients here instead. They also have a terrific space where I held my holiday client appreciation event. Sheila, Fred and the staff are local and offer a relaxing, friendly space. Hot or cold - they have a tea for everyone and are happy to offer recommendations or suggestions based on your taste. If you haven't visited yet - it is definitely worth checking out. read more

I have to agree with the other reviews here that the selection of tea and knowledge are wonderful. As to sitting and enjoying conversation or reading a book, I will no longer feel welcome to either of these pleasures. The shop is only welcoming now if you plan to sample tea and purchase a bag to go! I was informed through a friend that people are no longer welcome to stay and chat with friends for any extended periods of time. Normally, I would be fine with this if the owners had clear signage that limited times when sitting at the bar. This bar is not clearly established as a sampling bar. These owners need to decide what this shop is going to be, a tea shop where people are allowed to savor their selections, especially considering you are served a whole pot of tea, or if they strictly want this to be a tea store where you sample and then make your purchase. I was so looking forward to becoming a regular, but now feel that I will be uncomfortable as soon as I enter the store. I have observed that some select individuals are welcome by the owner to spend as much time there as they like, but others have been asked by the owner to move on. Well, I'm moving on to a completely different establishment! read more

So glad I found this place. Tucked on a little side street - it might be easy to miss. Make it a point to get in here. They have an amazing selection of teas to take home, and they have a bar and several tables to sit and have a cup of tea. The staff is always very helpful when trying to wade through the tea selection and I love the relaxing atmosphere. This is my go-to spot - away from the St**bucks crowd. read more
