As we were walking around, I had a thought: "I could go for some dessert... let me see if there is any boba near this mall" *Goes to pull phone out of pocket* 0.5 seconds later: Wife: "Oh, look boba - let's get some!" In the future, technology might be so good that you can wish things into existence. But today, that happened with Teahouse Express. Amazing. And what might be even better than the unbelievable timing is that they offer guava as a flavor. We just moved from Tampa where guava is on practically everything, but I cannot recall ever seeing that as an option at a boba shop. But it was an option at Teahouse Express and it was absolutely delicious. I don't know if I've ever been to Katy Mills mall before and I don't know if I'll ever be back, but if I do return, this is an absolute must-stop. read more

I've been to Teahouse Express with my sister four times, the most recent being today, and finally decided to write up a review. Each time I've gone, the customer service has always been great! The employees are friendly and make an effort to talk to you, which always makes me want to tip! Three of the four times I've gone, the line has always been short but the one time it wasn't, I only waited in line for three minutes and my sister and I got our orders before a lot of people in front of us, which was nice! As for the drinks? They're pretty good! I've been to a couple other boba tea stores around the city and Teahouse Express holds up! I've had the regular cream tea tapioca, pudding tapioca cream tea, and taro cream tea tapioca. My sister's tried the honeydew cream tea tapioca and the almond cream tea tapioca. They're delicious! I live right across from the mall now and will definitely be visiting Teahouse Express often! read more

Walking around the outlet and feeling suffocating wear the mask and thirsty, I came upon this place. Not sure what I was going to end up with, I ordered the mangonada. The drink came out as a smoothie. It's not bad but I'm used to getting cubes of mango with my mangonada. Don't get me wrong, the taste and flavor is there so it was still yummy. read more

I can't believe that the best Tapioca in Katy is in Katy Mills. This place is legit. The boba is perfectly soft, chewy and gummy and the milk teas are perfectly blended. The kids who work there are super friendly and will help the most indecisive people choose their drink (ahem ahem, yes YOU! jk). Their multicolor lights shine down on their floor like a mini club and I love looking at their colorful drink menu on the wall. I've tried a few tapioca places (Fusion on Fry, Dulce Tapioca in Sugar Land, one place in Bellaire I forget the name), but Teahouse Express has the best Almond milk tea in Katy. Next time you gotta go to Bass Pro for your fishin'/huntin' gear (I won't judge you), stop by and get a bubble tea. And get a frequent punch card, cuz YOU GONNA LOVE IT! read more

My husband and I have been coming to this teahouse for 8+ years and have not once been disappointed! As other reviewers have said the owner can be seen working here and has always been super nice to us(and has remembered us through the years which is cool). My favorite drinks are the cream blends which are thicker like smoothies. Peanut, coconut, and honeydew with added tapioca are my top faves. My husband loves the chocolate cream blend with tapioca or any of the special candybar flavors they have such as twix, snickers, reeses, etc. The boba is always terrific too! They have a few other snacks/drinks besides bubble tea as well such as cheese puffs, energy drinks and various healthy juices, etc. Other than the awesome drinks, Teahouse Express also offers free use of their computers with any purchase. They have 3 set up on the side. They have tv's usually on so you have something to watch while you wait in line or sit to drink on the mall bench right in front of the shop. As an added plus for my husband and I they have a DDR (Dance Dance Revolution) game set up as well! You have to mention it to them though so they can bring out the dance mats and turn one of the big screens onto the game which they are more than happy to do. There are several Teahouse Express' in Houston, but this one is found in the Katy Mills Mall ~25 miles west of Houston. I hear that the Teahouse Express in South/Downtown Houston is nicer, but overall I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked this Teahouse Express! You'll notice Teahouse Express at Katy Mills because there will be a large number of people standing outside, marveling at the Dance-Dance-Revolution setup as part of the storefront! There are 2 professional DDR machines with 30-inch LCD's and real DDR footpads outside this Teahouse Express. Of course you must be a paying customer to use these DDR machines, but paying $3.50 for a tea and getting unlimited use of the DDR is not bad, considering you can blow quite a bit of money on DDR in an arcade! The guys/gals using the DDRs are really really good at DDR. I suspect these guys must be DDR fanatics, because their footwork is SO fast and SO fancy, that they don't even have to look at the arrows on the screen as they dance their way into the song! Now as for the tea...... prices are high, but they give you a lot. They give you ~20-25 oz for $3.50. I suppose that's equal to getting a Grande size at Starbucks. I thought their lychee tea was pretty good. I really liked their watermelon juice with no added sweeteners/preservatives! It was excellent IMHO. It was healthy, and really delicious! Their passionfruit green tea was standard, and so was their taro shake. All in all, this place should be checked out because the tea isn't half-bad, and the watermelon juice is a must-have.....AND where else can you see die-hard DDR fanatics in Houston? read more

I've come back here to try a bunch of the different flavors like the Honeydew, Green Tea, Thai Tea, Almond Tea, Cream Tea and Taro Root Bubble Teas! My favorite by far is the Green Tea Bubble Tea and it's just the right amount of sweetness and milk and tapioca mixed together! If you are looking for a sweeter bubble tea, drink the Almond Bubble Tea! If you are looking for a real settle tasting bubble tea try the Thai Tea or Taro Root Tea. I'm personally not a huge fan of the Honeydew but people have their preferences. The same goes for the Taro flavor because it's a hit and miss, you either like the taste of you don't. I also suggest trying the coffee with tapioca pearls! It tastes pretty good and it's cheaper than Starbucks! I come here a lot now after school and I've noticed it's never crowded and the service is fast! The price ranges from $3.25-$5 for a 24 oz drink and I will continue to be a regular at this place because I crave bubble tea ALL the time!!! read more

The tea, slurpies and coffee are pretty much on par with all of the good comparable stuff out there. What makes the teahouse stand out in my opinion are the candy cream blends that they offer. That is right people! Your favorite candy bar ground into a really fine dust and added to a cool, creamy drink. Are you salivating? I am! When I lived in Katy, I wore my frequent buyer card out. Even after moving away, on a few occasions I managed to stop by and pick up something passion fruity or of the drinkable candy bar nature. I love this Teahouse! I'm from the East Coast and there's only one tea shop near my house (approx. an hour away). Their teas are cheap for $3.50 or $3.75. Their usually $5.00 everywhere else. The staff is super-friendly and they'll help you decide or provide suggestions. I've had the green milk tea and the thai tea with tapioca. My bf and sister had the slushies and they loved them (Green Apple, Strawberry, and Pineapple. While visiting , I got the only craving for bubble tea. I worked in China Town which is the epicenter for bubble tea in NYC. They are all great there from the worst to the best. I went to this place cause it what the closest one to me I found on yelp. Let just say this it is truly amazing reasonably prices for being in the mall. I had the cream and tea with pearls. I always go here when I'm shopping at Katy Mills Mall and need a pick-me-up. I've tried the Coconut Smoothie with Tapioca, but it tastes powdery (not natural or real fruit); same goes for the Avocado. The coffee freeze was decent. I love milk teas and have gone to many different teahouses but none can compare to the Teahouse Express at Katy Mills Mall. The staff members are friendly and work quickly. The drinks are delicious and decently priced. I worked in the mall for a year and a half and had at least one drink every day I worked and i havent burned out on them. I no longer work in the mall but I do make trips there soley for the purpose of visiting the teahouse. read more
