What a quaint spot for a tea, smoothie, snack and of course boba. Cute decor. Great seating! Friendly, quick service. Good pricing with great portions and sizes.

Stopped in craving a bubble tea. A little unorthodox menu, which left me a little confused. Fortunately, the staff was great explaining my options. I ordered a vanilla tea with mango jellies and a honeydew with lychee jellies. I guess I've never had the jellies before, only the typical tapioca pearls. The teas definitely looked different and the reason became clear when the 1st rectangular jelly shot through the straw haha! Both had a good flavor (my son had the vanilla), fairly assertive sweetness, and a generous amount of jellies. Booth teas came out pretty quickly also. I look forward to trying a tea with tapioca pearls next time.

Solid shop with quirky menu and wide variety of drinks (coffee, tea, etc) but not a huge range to choose from in each category. Quite some dessert-y teas. They ran out of tapioca and the lychee wasn't very good.

My cousins and I were craving boba after not having it for a week so we decided to try out Teacupfuls. Compared to all the boba places in the Bay Area, this place was alright. If you are really craving boba in this area, this is probably the best you will find. Something that I did not really find appealing was how all the powders were displayed in the back, implying that they use powders for all their drinks.

My kiddos were in HOG HEAVEN!!! Fun location, friendly staff and super cool creations. My daughter is obsessed with boba and this place knocks it pit if the park!! Happy and silly kids.

When we arrived, it was absolutely pouring, with the wind blowing the rain sideways so the tiny overhang in front didn't provide much protection. Classic Milk Tea, 50% Sweet ($7) - The milk tea tastes like it is made from powder, although they do sell black and green tea without creamer, so I'm a little confused. Perhaps those are powder too? The drink is pretty thick with a lot of body and it has a harsher kind of sweetness that is too sweet for me even at half. While I prefer fresh brewed tea, powdered milk tea has come a long way through the years, and this one isn't bad at all. In fact, there's a certain brand of powdered milk tea that I'd drink over a lot of boba shops. The drink comes with boba. It's a little on the firm side, so the bounce and chew are a bit lacking. The pearls are all different sizes and have a softer velvet-like layer on the exterior, indicating some kind of sugar soak. They aren't very sweet compared to the drink, though. Milk Tea Rating: 3.5/5 Boba Rating: 3.5/5 For being in a small city without much of a boba presence, Boba Tea Bend scratches the itch. It's certainly not stellar, but it does in a pinch.

I started with the chicken potstickers, which I enjoyed, though I thought they were cooked a little bit much as they were quite hard but very tasty. The sauce that they provided with them didn't seem to fit exactly, but it wasn't a deterrent. I went with the meatball for, and it came out like you would expect. I would say that I was slightly disappointed with the amount of meatballs in the broth, which seemed to be two or three less than I would've expected, and they didn't provide much in the way of the bean sprouts or other accoutrement to add to it. That said, those weren't bummers, just something of note. Lastly, the mango smoothie was tasty and served as a nice dessert zipper into the evening.

There was no particular order I wanted to try them in, it's just how the cards fell. Pho Viet & Cafe has a large selection of items ranging from traditional pho, cold noodle dishes, and Hue-style Bun Bo Hue. They even have banh mi sandwiches which seemed on the very pricey side for my liking. What stood out were non-traditional pho dishes like duck and shrimp. I made a mental note to try those in the future. My daughter and I ordered two bowls of the standard pho dishes. Now, this is where things get confusing. I actually wasn't that crazy about my bowl. It came with tons of meats which I appreciate. They definitely give you your money's worth but the broth lacked flavor. My daughter liked her bowl so I didn't say anything. We took leftovers home and I reheated her portion later. I saved a little broth for myself to sip and it was fantastic. It was an excellent sip of broth and everything I expected from quality pho. That's the confusing part of this story because both our dishes came from the same pot of broth. At least, they should have. In any case, we got two different experiences. That simple decision on my part to save the extra broth for myself earned Pho Viet & Cafe an extra star. It was good and I definitely will be coming back.

It's very conveniently located within walking distance to the rest of downtown Bend. It can get pretty packed, and seating isn't always guaranteed, but if you have time to hang around, the atmosphere is well worth experiencing. There's a bar-style seating area where locals seemed genuinely settled in, giving the shop a true neighborhood feel. I ordered a large Belgian Mocha, which was rich in flavor while not being overly sweet. The espresso was definitely still there, so the drink was beyond just a dessert vibe. Service was friendly and efficient, with my drink ready in just a few minutes despite the crowd. Overall, this is a lively downtown coffee spot best suited for those who want quality drinks and don't mind a local crowd.

Additionally, our barista gave us a coupon for a free 12oz drink because it took more than five minutes for us to get the breakfast sandwich, it didn't seem like a long time to me but that is just good service. The music was tasteful and not too loud which helped cultivate the calm and pleasant ambiance. The pastries were delightful, so good in fact that I was unable to get a photo due to my inability to delay taking a bite as soon as we sat down. We had the ham and gruyère croissant and the plain croissant. The breakfast sandwich was great; the homemade English muffins were dense but not heavy, the bacon was perfectly thick and crispy, the egg was well done, and the pesto mayo tied it all together. The Latte was solid, I regret not trying the syrups which I found out were homemade after I had ordered, it seemed as though everyone who ordered after me got the cardamom syrup in their drinks. My girlfriend got the hemp milk latte, unsweetened. She is a matcha snob and was pleased with her order, which is a rarity for coffee forward places such as Thump. Stop at Thump if you're in Bend.
