Tea Snow is my favorite boba places so far and has made better drinks than the popular shops in California. To me, that says a lot! The tiger bubble, taro coconut creme, and royal milk tea has been our go to since our first experience. The drinks are strong in flavor, smooth and unique, along with it's fair price. The boba has the original springiness and just the right amount of softness of what boba should be when properly made. As a Hong Kong native, I hold milk tea quality very harshly. The milk tea from Tea Snow is on the bitter end and I love that for the change. All the other places I've tried dilutes it with too much milk and overwhelms it with sugar to attractive the American population. Thankfully, Tea Snow ran with their own beliefs and brewed their milk teas traditionally to appeal more to the authenticity. However, their milk tea is still lacking the true richness of milk tea but they are definitely closer than anyone in the west coast! And yes, I've tried a few. Overall, Tea Snow never disappoints and I would consider them the best in Arizona! Most of their drinks on the menu are done very well and consistent everything. Visiting from out of town and decided to get boba here because it was conveniently next to the grocery store I needed to go to. Looking at the set-up, you can tell they are doing their best with the Covid guidelines: social distancing stickers on the ground, plexiglass in front of the cashier, and asking us to wait outside while the order is made. I ordered five drinks total for the family: two thai teas, one pennyworth drink, a milk tea, and a mango passion smoothie. I can't speak to the thai teas or the pennyworth drinks, but I can for the milk tea and the mango passion smoothie. The milk tea is about average, but the boba was good. The mango passion smoothie was better than some I have had, unfortunately, they forgot the boba and I was already driving home by the time I realized it was missing. I love coming to Tea Snow because their huge selection of drinks and toppings can satisfy any boba craving. Whether it's a milk tea or a watermelon slush, you can definitely find something for you here. A personal favorite of mine is the Vietnamese coffee. It's very flavorful and you can get a sea salt topping to make it even better. It's always very clean around the counters and small tables. Overall, their drinks are pretty good. I usually go here for their specialty drinks which range from $4.50-$5.00. Because they don't go cheap on the toppings, it's totally worth it. However, specifically on the Coco Loco, 75% was chunks of fruits and 25% drink. I had to use my straw to scoop it out. If you're thirsty, don't get this one since there isn't much to drink. It would make more sense if it came in a bigger size. Their three color dessert is one of my favorites and definitely worth a try if you haven't. The Vietnamese coffee is truly authentic which has a very strong taste and will give you the caffeine kick. The regular tea drinks are not worth it since you can get it at The Street for much less. A small here is around $3.75 plus charge for add-ons and size upgrade which makes it $5.00 or more. The street is only $3.75 for a large with boba! They do have a lot of variety which is really nice. The previous time, the drink was completely inedible, so I had to resort to throwing it away. My absolute favorite boba milk tea in the Valley! Their milk teas are loaded with flavor and are extremely consistent! And getting the same tasting drink on every visit is one of the most important things we all want... especially when it's this good! And the boba is prepared just right every time! Really enjoyed my first take at the Royal Milk Boba with brown sugar, which is almost like a dulce de leche, and first time drinking a Coconut Grass Jelly drink. So good. Birthday splurged and it was well worth it. No caffeine in either of these drinks. The Boba was not too chewy, not too firm, slightly slimy and sweet, just right. We waited about 20 minutes for four medium size shaved snow. They ran out of black sesame and vanilla flavors. So we got the mango, pistachio, and matcha flavors. I had no idea what a huge Asian community there was in Mesa, and I believe the highest growing group are the Vietnamese because Mekong Plaza is a popular shopping center with tons of Vietnamese and Chinese eateries. I came here by accident because I was looking for a cup of tea late in the evening and it appeared most of the other cafes in the vicinity had already rolled up their carpets. Tea snow is an amazing tea place. The quality of the tea and all their add ons are top notch. They have the traditional flavors and they have things like cookies and cream. The add ons range from fruit, boba, jellies, egg custard, to more fun options! My favorite is their traditional milk tea with egg custard (think flan) . My normal weekly order is the milk tea with egg custard, Mom's green fruit tea, Dad's iced coffee with boba, brother's strawberry banana shake with boba, and sister's taro milk tea with extra boba. So you could say we like this place . Today we had a slight mishap with my order (Carmel green milk tea with custard). The lady making my drink put boba in instead. I am fasting so I am very intentional with what I eat when I can. When I went back to get it remade, they were all kind about it. They fixed it super quick too. I would also like to add that that was the first time an Oder was messed up. The party in front of me had about 12 people and the party after was around 9, so I completely understand it. The shop itself is always very clean. When you look at the add on section of the counter it's clean and separate, like they aren't dropping boba into the strawberries. My third extremely bad experience here where the drinks were small and full of ice. As you all know, 98% of my revIews are positive so if I write a negative review, it must be really bad. First of all, the wait here for a drink is extremely long. They seem to be extremely slow at making the drinks or chatting behind the closed doors, not caring about the customers waiting for their drinks. Secondly, one of the servers Q has taken a dislike to me and I nooticed when she is working, my drInks are smaller and full of ice instead of ingredients. There were a few other customers when we arrived on Monday evening. They have a ton pictures of the drinks along the back wall if your wondering what to get. We ended up getting two drinks.
