The tea was good, though perhaps on the sweeter side (I ordered the lowest sugar option). The boba was perfect! We just stopped in quickly for to go orders but the server took our order as we were a bit confused by the order screens. There's lots of places to sit and drink your tea if you prefer and it seemed pretty clean and spacious.
This is the OG boba spot of the city. I remember coming here quite frequently a few years back but eventually it fell off my radar because I wanted to try other places etc. Over the years I have tried many flavors including Taro, Thai tea, Sakura rose etc and their quality of flavors and boba has always been consistent. I got the premium jasmine milk tea, which is just 25 cents more than the normal jasmine tea, so why not. I haven't seen the Jasmine flavor offered at many places so I was super excited about it. It is so refreshing and I am glad it is only mildly sweetened. The sesame is interesting if you like the flavor (not for me but my husband loves it). It reminded me of sesame sweets and I am not a big fan of those.
Teado is a favorite of mine. The Hulk is my go-to drink. It's sweet and refreshing, and the aloe jelly adds the most satisfying crunch. But I can never leave without grabbing an onigiri. They're only around $4 and always fresh. The salmon and shrimp tempura are my top picks. Perfect bite-sized snack or meal on the go. They also play the best music and the vibe is always great. There's seating, bathrooms, and WiFi, which makes it an easy place to hang out or take a break. The staff is friendly and service is quick every time.
Nice refreshing tea, I got the grasshopper tea which is a TeaDo special and it came out well.
Interesting bubble tea shop in Chinatown. It was pretty busy for a Saturday night. They have a lot of seats and some games. We got Sakura Rose Milk Tea. They were very quick with our orders. They have a machine that shakes the teas as well as seals the tea bottles. The boba bubbles were amazing. I really felt like the rose milk with sugar was the perfect amount of sweetness. It is cool that you have the option of adjusting the sweet content of the bubble teas.
I got a chance to try two Tea Do locations in Philly while I was here - this one being first, and, unfortunately, worse than the other. We ordered: Green Coconut Milk Tea with Boba (3/5), Thai Tea with Boba (3/5) I will say that what's great about this menu is how big it is, and you'll probably be able to find your go-to drink here as well as a ton of other options if you want to try something different. I'm a big coconut milk tea person, but this 'Green Coconut' drink caught my eye. I asked if it was a green tea based drink, but the person at the counter told me that it was actually a coconut milk tea that was made with a younger coconut, which meant that it would be sweeter and creamier. That sounded great to me, so I went ahead and tried it. This is absolutely NOT a creamier drink. I actually found it to be on the watery side, with these random punches of bitterness scattered throughout the drinking experience. What I will say is this boba had a pretty memorable flavor. Texture wise it was a bit too soft for my taste, but I appreciated that it had this sugaryness to them so it didn't just taste like biting plastic. It's also hard to deny the price - coming from NYC, we're so used to $7+ boba, so to get $5-6 boba meant so much to me. We got to try a few more drinks at the other location that may have skewed this, but in general I'd say the University Place location was higher quality than this one.
This is my favorite bubble tea spot in Philly. "First Love Tea" is my go-to drink when I'm down in Philly. Their drinks are pretty good. My friend always try to order different drinks to try out. The service is quick and they are very professional. They have amazing rice balls and appetizers. Our favorite rice balls is spam and Kenshin which has kani and seaweed in it. It is so yummy!
Yeah, this is a very average Milk Tea place in Philly's Chinatown. Came here to honor my boy Do Kyungsoo. It reminds me of milk tea spots like T4, RareTea, & Coco in terms of quality. Decent, but nothing to write home about. I had the Pandan milk tea and it was alright. It was a bit watery, and you could tell that they were using some sort of syrup for flavoring and not real Pandan. It was still pretty tasty tho, and the boba was good. Admittedly, their menu was quite extensive. The fact that they had Pandan milk tea was already a plus for me. Good times..
My favorite boba spot! It opened while I was in college and has had a special place in my heart ever since. The Tropical Twister and regular milk tea with boba are my go-tos. Pretty sure I came here on a weekly basis back then haha and it was a common spot my friends and sorority sisters would visit regularly. They also had Jenga and other games to play back then - not sure if those are still around now. There are a few tables inside to sit down at for a bit as well.
Mouthwatering deliciousness. Visited Philly for 2 days (Covid times) and on both days, I stopped by for Tea Do. I ordered the Honey Jazz and the Sakura Rose Milk tea both in medium sizes. The Honey Jazz was super refreshing on a hot day. It absolutely quenched my thirst. Love that I was able to adjust the sugar level and the ice level as well. I got 50% less sugar and less ice for both of my drinks and they were the perfect amount of sweetness for me. The place is a bit small but it wasn't too crowded the first night when I went. When I went in the afternoon the next day, it was a bit more crowded and the AC wasn't working so it was really really really hot inside. I nearly sprinted out the store after grabbing my drink. The employees were wearing masks and were quick and efficient with taking orders as well as making them! Overall very satisfied with the service and the mouthwatering drinks!

I was looking for bubble tea since I was walking around Chinatown. This place had high reviews on Yelp so thought I would check it out. I ordered the Lychee Pop (lychee tea with popping lychee boba). I asked for less sugar and ice. It was still too sweet and still a lot of ice. Also, the place was small so it was hard to tell where the line was and if people were waiting on the line or waiting for their order. There was a bit of a wait for my order. It was okay but I feel like next time I have a craving for bubble tea, I'll go across the street to Vivi. read more

I love tea do! There are a bunch of bubble tea shops in Chinatown but teado is my favorite for the Japanese green tea! There was a little wait when I went but not too bad! I got a medium Japanese green tea for $4 and it's my favorite drink to get! This shop also sells dippin dots and they have a pretty vast menu of teas, smoothies, and their specialities. Highly recommend getting the Japanese green tea because it's sweet and flavorful but not chalky. The boba here is also slightly chewy and sweet too. read more

My go-to spot for treating myself. I usually order the oolong milk tea with boba and 30% sugar. Service is quick. Accepts cash/card. My husband wanted to try something he has never had here before so he ordered the Vietnamese iced coffee. Definitely does not taste authentic as the coffee tasted a bit watered down and isn't as strong. Next time we will stick to just the teas. read more
I have definitely had better milk tea and a lot of their flavors taste pretty artificial; that being said sometimes that still hits the spot. Very reasonably priced and although it is alwayssss crowded they get drinks out pretty fast. The menu is big, by far the best drink is the Farmers Love, which i believe is a peach rose tea with lychee popping boba. I also like their strawberry and banana milk teas, which do taste pretty artificial but it's still enjoyable if you're in the mood lol read more

One of the must try place in Chinatown if you visit Philly for the first time. This place is not my go-to place for teashop, but I will suggest you to try at least once. The reason why is not my go-to place is because their jelly. I personally like the black herbal jelly (smoother & pudding texture), but their jelly was in cube-shape and was chewy/hard texture. I probably will not come back this teashop if I have other options nearby. read more
Good way to end your Philly trip? With some boba! I stopped by with a friend to grab a cold drink on a hot day, and a quick Yelp search later, we were on our way to Tea-Do! I knew I wanted something fruity and cold, so I went with the Large Tropical Twister (~$5.25). It's made with mango, passionfruit, pineapple, and lychee jelly. It was super refreshing and none of the fruits were overpowering the others. I'm usually not a fan of chewing things in my drink, but the lychee jelly was a great touch! Solid boba spot in Philly Chinatown. You will not regret swinging by! read more

Coming back after almost 5 years, I found the shop to still be a solid tea shop and a hangout spot. ++ Friendly staff, one female staff specifically Perfect sweetness at 30% Good tea and boba, although on the smaller side than I prefer A fun, casual ambience, and I appreciate they don't pump music unlike many others read more

In the quaint area of Chinatown, we stumbled across Tea-Do and after dinner, I figured it was just the sweet fix I needed. The decor of the place is very nice and intimate. The lighting is set for a chill mood and the staff is ready and willing to help you order. I opted for the First Love tea with Lychee jelly instead of aloe jelly. The flavor of the tea was good, not amazing as some of the others I have had in the past and the lychee jelly was a nice addition to the tea mixture. I can't say this was the best of Chinatown because there were about 4 others in the surrounding area but it was a descent bubble tea drink. read more
What a popular place to hangout and grab a drink! Right in the heart of Chinatown, Tea Do is a quaint but cute location to grab a bubble tea! Every time I have the chance to get bubble tea, I always order the Thai Tea bubble tea. It's a staple at most bubble tea shops and the one I've ordered at Tea Do did not disappoint. As a visitor of Philly, this drink was exactly what I was dreaming of! Great, fast service guaranteed! Stop by to order an authentic, delicious bubble tea! read more

There is big dead roaches! I told one of the employee in front of everyone To pick it up and clean up But they acting like 'what..what..' That's a shame! Bunch of lazy kids working there The good store with so many employee but can't keep clean the floor front. They need to call pest specialist and clean really well read more

Solid bubble tea spot. It's almost always busy and seems to be a popular spot among older teens and young adults. I think that's largely due to its ambience since it's decorated to give off more of a club / bar vibe. But unfortunately, they seem to have a hard time keeping up with the crowd. During our visit, trash cans were overflowing, tables were dirty, and empty cups were strewn on the floor. They have some pretty interesting flavors. We tried "green" coconut which the staff described as "same as regular coconut but sweeter." What she meant is like coconut but with more of that cloyingly sweet, candy taste you get from artificial sweeteners. Not my favorite, I'd stick with regular coconut. We also got sesame, which is a favorite of mine at any bubble tea spot. Theirs was particularly nutty, which I loved. My sister got the tiger milk special, which she said was pretty standard. I didn't try it, but visually, I do wish they had more brown sugar "tiger stripes" for aesthetics. Overall, pretty good place, but crowded and messy. read more

My experience at Tea-Do was just okay. I ordered the tiger milk tea and hoping that it would be like the brown sugar bubble tea. That wasn't it. It tasted like normal black milk tea. The boba was chewy but some of the pieces were slightly firm in the middle. As for the tea itself, it was sweet but mild in the tea flavor. The shop itself was not a good place to hang out. It was hot and humid. It definitely didn't help that the place was crowded. Stop by for a drink if you are in the area but don't go out of your way. read more
It was a hot, sweltering summer afternoon and we stopped by Tea Do for refreshing drinks. We ordered the Tropical Twister Tea Special and Red Guava Tea with Aloe Vera. Both were extremely delicious and thirst quenching. Don't let the long line deter you from ordering from this place because the line tends to move relatively quickly. One of the best bubble tea places in Chinatown! read more

Didnt have high expectations for this place since ive never heard of this chain. Upon entering most of their menu consisted of fruity tea or smoothies with jelly. Very limited milk tea menu. Suspicious of the was played it safe and got a fruit drink. Surprisingly it was pretty decent. Tea taste was noticeable and the mango jelly was a nice complement. read more
Not a bad spot to grab boba in Philly (Especially if you don't know the area)! The line is a little long, but I take that as a good sign. It might be a little chaotic inside, but the boba is solid. The tea isn't super strong, but it was a good level. I will definitely be back if I'm ever in the area. read more
Tea Do is probably my go to spot when I want bubble tea in philly/ Chinatown. There flavors are always on point and they do disappoint. I love their milk tea drinks but I especially love their famous, flavor drinks such as the grasshopper, tropical twister, Sunset, and etc. the I can't get enough of them and the price are decent for their drinks. I also enjoy their food snacks like onigiri, wings, and fish balls. The place is always pack on the weekend but their service are pretty quick. read more

This place has the best bubble tea! They have so many flavors from super fruity juices to original tea flavors. I love the popping bubbles in a fruity tea in the summer. It's so refreshing! But my standard order is their Japanese green tea milk tea. You are able to adjust the sweetness and I usually get unsweetened or 30% sugar. Great place to add to your must do's in China town! read more
As I scrolled through their list of specialty drinks, I felt like I could just as easily could have been skimming through the cocktail menu at a happy hour somewhere. Tropical Twister, First Love, Fire Dragon...all that was missing were the truffle fries and $1 oysters! Of course, the latter would be a little weird for a boba joint... Now in fairness, I already know I didn't order the best drink to evaluate Tea Do on. My go-to order of Black Milk Tea with boba is my usual measuring stick since it's pretty standard and a staple sort of drink. However, since I had a hankering for something sweeter, I went off the specialty menu and ordered a large GRASSHOPPER ($5), which included Green Apple, Pear with Green Tea, and Lychee Jelly. The combination of ingredients sounded pretty good and I knew it would satisfy my craving. Unfortunately though, it did too good of a job. While I really liked the mix of fruity and green tea flavors, it was simply too sweet. If they took out the apple and/or put in less lychee jelly, the drink would have actually been pretty good. As it was though, it was okay but refreshing (it was pretty muggy out). Since I'm not familiar with Philadelphia, I can't say how Tea Do ranks against nearby competitors, but it seems like a pretty decent spot. Friendly workers, extensive menu variety, tasty looking snacks (the group before us ordered a bunch), and a good amount of seating with Jenga at every table? You could do worse. read more

Tea Do doesn't have as long a list of milk bubble teas as other places in Chinatown, but their tapioca bubbles are of the perfect chewiness! I really liked the Japanese Green Milk Tea that I ordered - it wasn't too sweet or artificial tasting. I've also had their Fire Dragon (red bean, milk, grass jelly, and tapioca), which I unfortunately did not like very much. I ordered it solely for the red bean, but found the rest of the drink quite bland. The red beans were the only thing that added flavor, but they got lost at the bottom with all the tapioca. I also tried a sip of my friend's Sunset (kumquat, lemon, and aloe jelly), which tasted like a sweet, citrusy jasmine tea. At $3-4 for a regular cup, their drinks are reasonably priced and I'd like to come back to try other flavors and types of tea, like the popping bubbles. They also provide entertainment like cards and jenga, and seem to be a popular hangout spot for high school and college kids. read more

The red bean smoothie is really good, was surprised to find it on the menu since not a lot of bubble tea places do it. The shrimp tempura was just a standard convenience store onigiri but the kenshin was good! read more
Seemed like the bubble tea bar to be at so my girlfriend and I decided to step in on a warm winter day recently. The place was poppin' as the young kids say as there were plenty of people inside and more coming in every few minutes. The place and menu sort of reminded me of Kung Fu Tea in NYC. The menu was diverse, but didn't have a lot of drinks on it or as many as I had hoped for or seen at other bubble tea spots in NYC. I went with the Red Bean smoothie because I'm a Red Bean smoothie fanatic, but it was just OK here. It wasn't anything spectacular or close to the best Red Bean smoothie I had ever tried, but it wasn't the worst either. It was somewhere in that middle area. The smoothie utilized the smooth slushie ice, which I like, but the flavoring was not the best. With the lack of bubble tea bars in Philly's Chinatown I can see why Tea Do gets a majority of the bubble tea fans. If the menu included more flavors I could give it another try if I were back in town. read more
