Food sitting on a hot bus.

Currently on the bus right now. I was really looking forward to Tea Around Town, but unfortunately our experience was extremely disappointing. Our tickets were for 1:30 p.m., and we were instructed to arrive by 1:15 p.m. My group arrived at the pickup location in front of Fogo de Chão at 1:15 as requested. The bus never arrived. Around 1:40 p.m., I overheard another group mention they had received a text saying the bus would be delayed until 2:00 p.m. My group never received a text message or email about the delay. We returned to the pickup location at 2:00 p.m., but the bus still didn't arrive until 2:38 p.m. Even after it arrived, we were asked to continue waiting outside in the San Antonio heat while they prepared the bus for boarding. Once we boarded, it was extremely hot inside. The hostess explained that the buses were designed for climates like Canada and New York and weren't built to handle the San Antonio heat. Unfortunately, that became very apparent throughout the experience. We paid for the Luxe package but were served the Petit package instead. The water was warm, and because the bus had been sitting in the heat for so long, many of the food items, including the egg salad sandwich, pudding, fruit, meats, cheeses, and fruit, had been sitting unrefrigerated. I wasn't comfortable eating much of it. Another table that also paid for the Luxe package was supposed to receive chilled rosé, but by the time the bus arrived, all of the ice had melted. To make matters worse, the air conditioning was dripping water throughout the ride. The only positive was our hostess, Madison. She was visibly sweating bullets while trying to care for guests in those conditions, yet she remained gracious, sincerely apologetic, and professional. She also has a beautiful singing voice that added a nice touch to the experience. I genuinely felt sorry for her. It seemed like leadership set her up for failure by placing her in a situation where she had to face frustrated and disappointed customers over issues that were completely outside of her control. I understand that delays can happen, but the lack of communication, the excessive wait in extreme heat, the unsafe food conditions, not receiving the package we paid for, and the obvious lack of preparation made this a very disappointing experience. Tea Around Town has a unique concept with great potential, but significant improvements are needed in communication, customer service, and operations, especially during the Texas summer.

If you, or a member of your family is handicapped, don't waste your money on this tourist trap. Witnessed a woman try to get on the bus with absolutely no assistance from the staff and the staff saying you have to climb the stairs. It wasn't until other guests got involved was the woman able to get on the bus and be seated downstairs. The women in line were not taking any "%*^". What a disappointing way to start off a day out. Even worse for the woman with the walker and her family. Stressful and I'm sure embarrassing for her.

We toured in San Antonio and had a great experience! The interior of course was so adorable and whimsically decorated. We had the petite menu which consisted of 15 items and that was plenty of food, actually had some leftovers. All of the pieces were tasty and the 4 teas we tasted were delicious. Our tour guide was great and she even sang. Overall a fabulous experience with my 3 daughters.

$100 for around 90 mins. The tea and food were meh, but it's instagramable in terms of the photos. We went for a friends bday and made some good memories with each other.

What an experience! Highly recommend! Just take a look!!! Live music, live entertainment inside! Great food, perfect amount of tea and just the overall experience! The bus driver was the sweetest! The cutest singer/commentator ever!

The entrance to the bus( The whole staircase looked this way). I was scared to go to the restroom

My experience was disappointing. I booked the tour way in advance for my daughter and I. We were the first tour of the day 10:00 am, and they were 45 mins late...not to mention how dirty the entrance to the bus was. I am very big on sanitation when it comes to things like this. Also, for 90 bucks, you would think you'd get more tea....1/4 of a cup. The tour was supposed to be 1.5 hours and it was less than an hour. Arrived back before noon. Also the sugar container on the table was filthy, and included unused and used sugar packets. It was ok, but won't do it again. Great concept if done right. Wasn't entertaining at all.

less than one star experience. sadly there was a family with a member who had a walker. this woman could not lift herself up the step into the bus. the driver who was also checking people in did nothing I mean nothing to assist but kept telling them that once she finally could get into the bus there were more stairs to climb. it wasn't until other guests got involved that the woman was able to get on the bus and sit at a downstairs table. this tourist trap is not handicapped accessible. it was a dirty experience, the bus was dirty with nasty plastic flowers adorning the windows also little to no history given about Austin. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

Very cute and unique experience. Good length of time, the food was a sufficient amount of all of us ( egg salad sandwiches, chicken salad sandwiches, deviled eggs, and a variety of delicious desserts). You are bright different types of teas throughout the trip. There was Bridgeton- style music on, and there was guide tour with facts and the history of certain locations all around town. The service was great and the staff entertained us with a few games and prizes. The best part, for me, was the fact that they provided an adorable box to take any left overs home and we get to keep the tumbler as a souvenir. Very cool way to see downtown Austin! Would go again.

In previous vacations we took bus tours to get a little bit more familiar with the city and that is what we did with Austin. Only this time we rode a Double Decker bus! I have seen this kind of bus tour here and there and have seen it when I am in Seattle. Officially I think after this particular bus tour it was my first time riding a Double Decker bus. The weather was typical spring weather on our entire visit but the day we chose to take this tour it was nice and warm and a perfect time to go ride this bus followed by rain for a few days (This took place in April). The ride was so much fun and the tour guide was great! Austin is definitely a different cut than the rest of Texas and that was reflected in many of the people we met. Open mindedness being one and we really felt that with the tour guide. He was so knowledgeable of the city and the neighborhoods and all that made this bus tour all the more amazing. But of course they would probably have staff with personalities that would be compatible in this way. Riding on the top of the bus was so much fun. A few times we had to duck from tree branches and I lowered my head a few times from the traffic lights but that was just me getting nervous with being that high to a light. You see all the sights, famous buildings, museums, local culture, restaurant recommendations and so much more while on this tour. So this was a great experience! I was in Austin proper once a very long time ago and saw just how much it's grown. So it was cool getting acquainted with the city one more time thanks to this bus tour!

At first, I sat on the upper level. It was wonderful to be out in the fresh air. However, the sun was a little too much for me so I had to move down to the inside area. I was the only one down there which was fine, but it was really quite filthy. There was thick gray dust on the top rail of all the seats and the fabric on the seats themselves was all thick with black grease. The tour guide was really wonderful. Entertaining and knowledgeable with one exception that was actually kind of disturbing to me personally. When we got to South Congress he talked about the "I love you so much" wall. His story of a husband painting it for his wife could not have been more wrong. It was in fact done by an artist named Amy for her then girlfriend Liz an infamous Austin hotelier and restauranteur. It is an incredibly iconic part of Austin history and if it's told it should be not fiction. I hope for sure this can be corrected for future tours.

The reservation before us was late and instead of cutting into their time, it pushed our reservation back. Originally we were told we were only going to get pushed back a half an hour and then when we got to the pick up spot at 2:30 we were contacted and told it would be closer to 3:00 and then a little bit after 3 o'clock we were told the bus was on its way, but were not given a timeframe. The bus pulled up about 3:30 but the bus driver had to clean up and restock and give us the rundown of how the afternoon would work and we didn't leave until closer to 4:00. Tour itself was fun; open air bus, music, sightseeing. We were only on the bus for an hour and a half instead of what should've been a two hour excursion. Once we were off the tour, we contacted the company to ask what they could do for us for the time inconvenience (late and shortened tour); either refund some of the cost or they to pay the mandatory tip to the driver instead of us coming out of pocket more.
