TDS feels like a scam.
I have had TDS for only 2 months, and it has been nothing but trouble. I am already considering switching to another provider that will actually be reliable and reachable. They cannot fix the issues I have had trying to access my account, even after calling multiple times for various reasons, and they are almost always unreachable when I call due to "technical difficulties." If you are interested in the details of my experience with them, feel free to continue:
First, I cannot access my account online, even after calling five times to reset my password. I STILL do not have any access, and every time I call I get different answers as to why it won't work. One person even told me their system only worked on Internet Explorer, which led me to tracking down a computer with Internet Explorer only to find that didn't help my situation at all. At this point, I am willing to spend hours on the phone to get access to my account solely so I never have to call this terrible company again. Unfortunately, I work during their business hours and do not feel like using up my hour lunch being frustrated and annoyed.
I finally get around to calling them to not only pay for this month's service but also to maybe get access to my account. Twice, I cannot get a hold of anyone and the line only tells me that there are "technical difficulties." I call again, and I am on hold for so long that I hang up because I had to get to a meeting. I call AGAIN and finally reach someone! I am all set to pay and am transferred to their phone payment system, immediately put on hold, told through an automated message that there are technical difficulties, and I am sent back to the first automated message you hear upon calling TDS.
DOES THIS MAKE ANY SENSE? Why did the customer service representative I talked to not warn me about the "technical difficulties?" Why was I not able to reach anyone after I went through the system to talk to someone else?
At this point, all I want to do is pay my bill. So I go online to pay using their "Rush Payment" method, only to find that the page leads to nowhere. I tried this on 4 different browsers (internet explorer, chrome, firefox, and safari) and at 4 different locations each with different wifi. At this point in my saga, no one should be surprised to find out that the link never works. No matter what I do.
At this point, TDS feels like one big scam. I recommend them to no one, and I can't wait to leave their service. read more
