As I only use my iPhone and do not have another phone, I asked that they (uBreakiFix by Asurion) let me know both status updates and completion via my email address. They had my 14 max Pro for almost 4 days with only one notification that I received was that the repair had begun. I did not hear back for three days and drove to the shop today to check on the status. It was done and I paid handsomely for the repair which included a cleaning. the phone was returned completely drained of power and had no sign of the cleaning which they charge you $34. The counter guy took out a towel and wiped off the outside. I cannot believe that anyone would return a cleaned phone smudged and full of finger prints. Is there no quality control?!? Lastly uBreakiFix used non Apple repair parts and informed me that the water proofing was no longer guaranteed. I would recommend that you use only Apple approved repair shops and not go to uBreakiFix. What a disgruntlement. Stay away!

I was then told that if I did not want the repair, they would specifically reassemble my computer so that I could transfer my data to a new device. What I received instead was two pieces of the computer I brought in. I ended up having to buy a new computer because of the careless customer service I received. It is really such a bummer. They try to take advantage of you if you seem like you do not have any technological knowledge. Very disgusting. Do not trust this place with anything of value, or even a trap phone for that matter. I bet my four year old grandson could have done a better job fixing my computer than the bafoons at this establishment. I hope they have the day they deserve for the rest of their lives.

In 2010, when I got my 2001 BMW, it was vandalized it so I went to AMS for a security system. I…read morespoke to Paul Nachreiner, now the President at AMS. He remembered me from 1991 when he installed a stereo in my 1981 Toyota Celica. When we were discussing the security system for my BMW, we talked about the system he installed in my Celica. He detailed the components like he installed them last week. A short time ago, my security system wasn't working right so I contacted Paul. He asked me to bring in my car and he would take a look at it. When I got there, one of his technicians, Jason Salas, noticed that the wire to the antenna at the top of the windshield was not hooked up to anything. I told him that I recently had my windshield replaced and that the two sided tape holding the thing up there came loose. Not knowing what that thing was, I disconnected it and put it in my car somewhere . Paul asked me where it was. I told him it fell off the windshield because it was not attached right and that it was in the car somewhere. After we found it, Jason put it back in place with some good two-sided tape and the alarm worked right again. I told Paul I was amazed at how quickly Jason diagnosed the problem. He told me "Jason was Installer of the Year in the entire country as recognized by the Mobile Electronics Retailers Association back in '06/'07." Paul and Jason are the kind of people who work at AMS and that's the kind of service I've been getting there since 1991. I highly recommend AMS for their selection of quality car stereo equipment, automobile security systems and especially for the people who install everything they sell."

It also makes your doors sound more solid when closed and eliminates rattling/vibration. Unless AMS installs it. The rattles and vibrations from my doors/windows has increased dramatically since this "work" was done. They got me in one time to see what they could do and said they couldn't find anything loose in my doors. Wish I had saved my money as the road noise was much more tolerable than my windows and doors rattling with every small bump in the road or my speakers. Edit: Thank you for the long-winded and unnecessary explanation. None of what you wrote justifies my car sounding worse than it did before the installation. I realize things loosen up over time but if you recall, I initially made the complaint shortly after the install and was told nothing could be done after my door was taken apart by you a second time. My doors didn't rattle before and they did after, simple as that.

There were plenty of "Audio listening Rooms" in the late 1970's and 80's…read more You know, that darkened, specialized room designed so you could select your 'high end' stereo equipment free of distractions and with the help of your personal sales guy. The problem was that your initial excitement was dampened because it never sounded the same when assembled in your normal home environment. The 80's saw a reduction of these places as digital and phone apps and ear buds bloomed and boomed to to obliterate this older traditional way of listening, and specialized places disappeared. Most went high end portable tech. Many of us vinyl people went with the flow, packed away the LP's, stored the turntable, and became part of the more accessible but less personal and more detached portable music scene, foregoing that sacred home space that was the refuge room for listening. We became accustomed to the blue tooth portable sound, but knew, deep down, unlike the newer generations, that we had audible memories embedded by experience that had opened us to a world that many of this newer generation never knew existed, that could take us to a sounding stage and private place and listening space that was a world away, customized to our own auditory senses and creation. With the imposed solitude of the past two years, I wanted to rediscover that which I had lost in storage and forgotten in time. My $300 phono turntable of the late 70's had suffered in abandoned storage. My 1990 speakers were ok, but I also knew there might be better. Where to begin? I went to my computer and started reading. I discovered that the world of audio had gone internet, and that I could find a zillion places to buy and hundreds of opinions, a multitude of pricing, but NOWHERE to hear, to feel and judge with my ears what might be a good choice. I almost made an emotional purchase decision tied a familiar historic American named speaker brand, reputable in the past and renewed in production with a midwest address. They sell direct. Great reviews. Solid tradition. Friendly sales people by phone. Then I discovered, after asking questions, that they ARE in a small Indiana town, but everything in production and replacement is in CHINA. They are essentially the way station. Fine if that's (pardon the expression), "your cup of tea". Not mine. Not for the kind of expenditure and no ability to hear the product. I reside, let's say, in the boonies. By choice. Unfamiliar with current urban choices, another internet search of, " Madison, WI, Audio Stores", brought me to,"UNIVERSITY AUDIO"... Would this be another glitz, sales slick, suit and tie specialized sound proofed, adjustable lighting, myriad-ed postered, colorful brochures festooned enclave of super- duper rabbit hole-bottomless dollar pit maze, that would try to dissect me more than I wanted to dissect them, place?? No. I met Ben. As straight forward as the plastered walled rooms with a couple of chairs to listen to any number of audio choices so that you could find your ears matched to equipment and technology that your brain could hear, and to which your soul could relate. I really did rediscover 'The Sound of Music". (That a bit too trite, but truisms often are.) We got it all home now. It sounds true to what we heard and better, because it's in our listening head space, our room. My suggestion is: If you are going to take the journey, or rediscover the journey, take the road trip, not the internet trip; especially if you value experience over expeniture as your guide. University Audio may be justly, the education your ears need. TB a real fan. A real customer.
