We stopped in for a late lunch. Our original waitress left half way through our service. The pizza and pasta were good. They were close to our hotel. The terrace was comfortable.

Impeccable pizza and Focaccia with a great outside section. Attentive service and a pleasant neighborhood.

Giving it three stars is generous. While not quite a two - it's a solid meh. Don't come here - make the effort and find somewhere else. They overcooked the calamari and shrimp to the point we couldn't eat it. Then the carbonara was cooked improperly so that I had scrambled eggs and pasta. I could actually taste the egg and it was not pleasant. The tomate sauce was barely memorable including the gnocchi.

We came to this restaurant for dinner our first night in Rome, as it was recommended by our Hilton Garden Inn receptionists and it was a close 5min walk. However, it was a bad choice and honestly has almost put me off pasta. We ordered - 1) Vegetarian Pizza (added Zucchini flowers & anchovies from the Rustica pizza) - so it's a €2 charge for anything extra and while we could see the Zucchini flowers on the pizza, couldn't taste the anchovies, but got charged extra anyway. The pizza was....tasteless! The crust was decent but that was all 2) Tagliolini Pasta in Ragu sauce with chestnut - the menu stayed this dish was only available from September to March and I've never had chestnuts in pasta before, so was keen to try it out. Only the pasta arrived and it had beef mince! We specifically had told our waiter we don't eat beef!! What a total waste of our money and shows how inattentive the waiter was. 3) Eggplant Parmigiana - got this as it had been recommended in other Yelp reviews, and they must have had a different dish or the cook has changed hands cause similar to the pizza, this too was tasteless. The cheese was just all over the place, and the tomato sauce was decent, but that was it. When we sat down, the waiter said he'd bring us some bread, which we figured would be on the house. Heck no! when we got the bill, we'd been charged €4. I wish I'd chosen a different place to go eat, cause this wasn't that great! Yelp 256/ 2018

Clearly a local spot as we were the only non Italian speaking guests. HUGE menu with something for everyone. Very solid food and the staff was polite!

This gem of an Italian restaurant offers amiable service from multilingual servers and delicious food and drinks. They were very accommodating to our group with all of our special requests (dietary restrictions), questions, and minimal knowledge of Italian.

When we arrived on a late afternoon, we waited about 10 minutes before getting seated. To start off, we got the Limoncello Spritz (€10) and Aperol Spritz (€10), which were refreshing. For our pasta, we ordered the Fettuccine with Oxtail (€18) and Carbonara (€17). We also wanted to order two more Secondi dishes, but the waiter warned us that the pasta is filling. After we finished the pasta, we did still order the Rabbit (€19) because it wasn't something we usually see on the menu. For the carbonara, the flavor was delicious but not really my favorite pasta shape. It was also quite al dente with a chewy texture. I have to say that the oxtail was spectacular though with its juicy and tender meat sauce. While the rabbit was nice to try once, it was a bit dry with minimal meat. Overall, good spot but nothing worth waiting too long for. Also, I'd stick to the pasta here as it's all handmade. You even see them handrolling them inside. Note that they also charge €2 per person for service fee already.

The pasta was perfectly cooked, coated in the creamiest, silkiest sauce, and the Parmesan cheese was absolutely heavenly. Simple ingredients, flawless execution. I also had the berry cheesecake, and it was just as amazing. Light, creamy, not too sweet, and the berry topping tied everything together perfectly. Pure heaven from start to finish. From the food to the experience, this place is a must when you're in Rome. I'd come back again and again without hesitation.

Our hotel manager had suggested another restaurant, but I was apprehensive to try, but did later, more on that restaurant review in it's own post. I rather did what I should have done throughout the trip to, which is to search google for local reviews. This tactic I found to be much better than to trust American reviews for restaurants to visit from Youtube or even here, just because the American touristy taste tends to favor bland or Olive Garden style pseudo Italian. The real Italian taste is much different and something one needs to develop. I was familiar with European Italian food, as I had said before in other reviews that Mexico has better Italian food outside of Italy. Additionally, the good restaurants here in Italy do not open before 7 PM. If it does or if someone that looks foreign to Italy is outside trying to lure you in, it's a tourist restaurant with iffy flavor. At this restaurant my husband had the Lobster pasta and I had the spinach/ricotta ravioli, and we both were beyond satisfied. We also had the artichoke as an appetizer, and trusted the waiter with his suggestion for a bottle of wine. He must have been some genius because the wine went well with our meal. The ambience was cozy and very family oriented, however, the rain outside made it romantic for us. Another key point for this restaurant and it traditional flare was that they brought out the olive oil and red vinegar for our salad and of course olive oil for our wonderful home-made bread. I'm so glad we chose this place for those of us Americans who understand culinary cuisine.

Seafood risotto was fresh. Grilled radicchio was like stir fried. Dinner for 3 for 77 euros, impressively busy for a Tuesday night. Friendly staff, easy for English speakers. :)
