Husband and I searched all day for a more filling restaurant that is not small plated . We enjoy a nice restaurant with a meal that will fill us up and be tasty . And that is exactly what we got ! Everything we ordered was tasty and the steak we ordered was honestly the best steak I've ever had in my entire life !! It was so mouthwatering! Cooked medium rare and the butter sauce it came with was so delicious!! The black scampi pasta was also great!! My husband also loved the bread that was served (and he's picky about bread haha) . We ordered 1 liter of Prosecco, I believe it was just the house Prosecco but it was still good . Could of been nicer with more sparkle but by the third glass we didn't care haha Service was great and friendly. And as for the ambiance it was allot of couples and family. The inside seating is huge aswell , going down tho the restroom I noticed a beautiful seating area perfect for big groups ! Definitely going back !!! I'm not a sit outdoors person but n Rome it just felt right and it was a wonderful dining experience. The food starting with Suppli was wonderful. The cameriere was helpful and put up with our attempts at Italian. I had the pizza Napoli which was great. My wife has the chicken and artichoke special and it was equally wonderful. Giving it three stars is generous. While not quite a two - it's a solid meh. Don't come here - make the effort and find somewhere else. They overcooked the calamari and shrimp to the point we couldn't eat it. Then the carbonara was cooked improperly so that I had scrambled eggs and pasta. We came to this restaurant for dinner our first night in Rome, as it was recommended by our Hilton Garden Inn receptionists and it was a close 5min walk. However, it was a bad choice and honestly has almost put me off pasta. We ordered - 1) Vegetarian Pizza (added Zucchini flowers & anchovies from the Rustica pizza) - so it's a €2 charge for anything extra and while we could see the Zucchini flowers on the pizza, couldn't taste the anchovies, but got charged extra anyway. The pizza was....tasteless! The crust was decent but that was all 2) Tagliolini Pasta in Ragu sauce with chestnut - the menu stayed this dish was only available from September to March and I've never had chestnuts in pasta before, so was keen to try it out. Only the pasta arrived and it had beef mince! We specifically had told our waiter we don't eat beef!! What a total waste of our money and shows how inattentive the waiter was. 3) Eggplant Parmigiana - got this as it had been recommended in other Yelp reviews, and they must have had a different dish or the cook has changed hands cause similar to the pizza, this too was tasteless. The cheese was just all over the place, and the tomato sauce was decent, but that was it. When we sat down, the waiter said he'd bring us some bread, which we figured would be on the house. Pizza menu is extensive and the vegetarian pizza is excellent! Dessert menu includes homemade cheese cake, gelato, apple torte and many more. Nice selection of wines and Prosecco of course. Friendly service and indoor or outdoor seating offered. Elegant atmosphere and reasonable prices. My only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that I've had better gelato in Italia. Went here three different times as it was close to the hotel and was open earlier than most places. We had multiple dishes to include lasagna, pizza, meatballs, and the bruschetta. All of it was very good. The only issue was lasagna was cold in the middle when I received it. Once it was reheated it was very good. I understand it is pre-made, but it should be warmed up sufficiently. The staff were all very friendly. It is a very slow pace compared to the US, understandable, just wish they would check on tables a little more often. read more

This place could be a savior for those heavily jet lagged. It opens for early dinner and offers a variety of italian food. We eat there 3 nights in a row as it's close to our hotel. This establishment was busy at the time, but we were seated quickly and attended to fairly quickly by European standards. We ordered bruschetta pesto (highly recommend), meatball with tomato sauce (good), and ravioli with Gorgonzola, pear, and pistachio (highly recommend). Expensive - but it's in Parioli, which is a bit of an upscale neighborhood in Rome, so that's expected. Food - top notch. Pizza was fantastic. So was the tortellini with pistachos (OMG) and the cod was amazing. It's also open all the time (most nice restaurants in Rome close between 2PM and 7PM) and the waiters are pleasant. Why am I not giving it more stars? The price. It just seems so expensive. The food is good, the location is near the hotel, but it is not a bargain. read more

They are helpful and polite and the food is to die for! Sauté de Cozze was delicious, perfectly seasoned and a great portion. The tagliolini cacio pepe was perfectly cooked pasta and an absolutely delicious sauce. Saltimbocca alla Romana was just perfect, better than I could have imagined: perfectly seasoned, delicious sauce, potatoes nice and lightly crispy outside soft and delicious inside. Amazing! After being ripped off at other Roman restaurants, this restaurant, packed with locals outside of downtown, was like the rest of Italy. We asked if they could speak English because we had a long day and it was easier for us to speak our native English rather than our learned Italian and they instantly treated us like scum.
