Food for all four of our party was delicious. Salad, Cheeseburgers, and my rack of lamb was perfect. The waitstaff was very friendly and attentive, service was great. We sat outside on the back patio listening to great music while watching the people play golf on a gorgeous day!! Would definitely recommend for lunch or dinner. Will be back many more times to come.

Hidden gem! It's actually the gold course restaurant but it's amazing. Great food and service. Outside and inside dining. Salads were large and flavorful and pasta was amazing. Highly recommend if you're in the area even if you don't play golf

I was told this place was under new management, not that I had a problem with previous management but thought I'd leave a review since they've changed the menu. I ordered the lobster roll and asked that they served it warm and it was delicious. Came after a midday tee time and it wasn't that busy at all. Would def come here again.

Decided to try this place out with a friend last Friday night. We have both heard nothing but good things and were excited for a fun night out. The dining room was spacious and had three large TVs which came in handy watching the Mets then Yankees while we were there. We were sat at a cute table near the fire place. To our dismay, the band that was supposed to play that night canceled, so we were a little upset about that, and there weren't many people there either. When we asked our server, he mentioned that the restaurant is under new management. I started with a big goblet of sangria and we ordered the calamari appetizer. My drink was very good and the app was pretty tasty as well, I liked that it came with a creamy spicy sauce in addition to the marinara. For my entree I ordered the Chicken Marsala and my friend ordered the Chicken Milanese. Both portions were very large and both cooked very well. We decided to end our night at the bar for an espresso martini, which was a little too heavy on the Bailey's for me. Overall, food was good and I'd go back another time, hopefully the band will show up!

What a great place! I was so skeptical because of the old owners and how bad it used to be...This is a COMPLETE OPPOSITE! We had the fried calamari (best I've had in a decade!, Barreda cheese was superb. The meatballs were so fresh and full of flavor. If that wasn't enough, the chicken Milanese was thin and tender, fettuccine Alfredo was hand made and so cheesy. But the best was my veal osso buco was fantastic. It was melt in your mouth. Cuts with a spoon! And the desserts were delectable. The owner came to our table and told us about the menu and was a great host. Thank you Sir!! Live music was awesome and the place looks so modern and relaxing. I would highly recommend everyone come here for dinner and you will not be disappointed.

    Grilled octopus

Came here on a Tuesday night with a group of 6- no reservations needed and place was pretty quiet around 7pm. Half the group hung out by the bar while we waited for the other half to get here and chatted it up with some other patrons and the bartender who were all really chill and friendly. The overall ambiance had a very nice clubhouse vibe. I have to first, praise our server Jhoan, who seemed to have been serving the entire place by himself. He seemed to be in the middle of training three young ladies while waiting on about 6-7 tables on his own...so really, hats off to you! With that being said, let's get down to the nitty gritty: Food: mediocre, not the best but not awful..filled me up and tasted good, but nothing spectacular. I ordered a roasted veggie salad and the grilled lamb chop (4 pieces), that my husband and I shared, our friends ordered a brisket sandwich, rib eye stake, Cobb salad, and a rib eye steak sandwich. We ordered the appetizer fried calamari and the grilled octopus to share. The fried calamari was delicious. Probably the best dish of the night. Grilled octopus was ok. A little overcooked and too chewy. I've definitely had better, but the char on the octopus was nice, giving it that crunchy burnt taste. My roasted veggie salad was also delicious- pretty hard to mess up roasted vegetables, if you ask me. I was a little disappointed in the lamb chops as we asked for it to be cooked medium and it came out pretty well-done. My friend's rib eye should've been cooked medium rare but came out more on the rare side...a little TOO bloody...there really isn't much to say about the rest of the food two other sandwiches was ok- again, not food to rave about. My friends Cobb salad came with no dressing but that was an easy fix.. Service: well, really not the best. While our server was amazing, it didn't seem like the staff had that much knowledge about the food menu or drink menu. The three girls that was 'helping' didn't know what beers were offered and had to run and ask the bartender what they had. Really, working at any new place, I'd be more prepared and knowledgeable about the menu of the place I'm working. Our tables weren't cleared from our appetizer dish so when our entrees came, we were stacking our own plates to make room. No one came to take the empty dishes away until another person came and got it out of the way for us. When our plates were empty, we were asked 'do you want me to take that away?' ...which probably should've sounded more like 'are you finished with this? Can I get this out of your way?' Maybe I'm being too picky with the choice of words but really, the girls weren't trying that hard to provide good service. At the end of the meal, the girls all came and started collecting our plates while joking about something they were discussion earlier and one of the girls did a snort, spit, laugh during the dish collection. Highly unprofessional and immature. At one point, all three girls hung out behind the bar talking to two other people while the main server ran around waiting on all the tables. If it weren't for our main server Jhoan who recognized when one of our meals was missing and ran back and forth to the kitchen to get us ketchup for our fries, made sure our meals had what was written on the menu, and ensured our table had water replenished, I would given this place a two star review. The staff really was very friendly and nice, but the training process could've gone a little differently. It was a good day to train- I can't imagine what that place would be if they had trained three new servers on a Saturday evening. Overall, the place was fine, if you're already on the golf course or you're there with your family for mini golf. But I wouldn't come here again for the food or the prices. Kudos to the staff who were attentive and friendly. Keep in mind that a 20% gratuity is automatically added onto parties of 6 or more

The food was absolutely incredible and presented so nicely. The place is very cozy and everything was very nice. My mom got the chicken kabobs and I tried her rice... and it was honestly the best rice I've ever had LOL It had a very nice distinct flavor that's difficult to explain, so I guess you're going to have to come here and try it for yourself!! The staff was super super nice and told us that everything comes fresh from local markets and isn't frozen beforehand. So I totally recommend!!

He was a big help in answering any question I had. Our party was roughly 25 people and we reserved the back room for the party. The back room was big enough for all of us to fit comfortably without it feeling cramped. We ordered the apps ahead of time and were told that they would be ready at 5:30. Sure enough, at 5:30 all of the apps came out and they were a big hit. Everything was fantastic. We got some large pizzas, nachos, mozzarella sticks, potstickers, and calamari. There was practically nothing left. The entree's were great and came without delay. I didn't hear a single complaint from any of the guests. I'd be remiss if I didn't talk about our waiter for the night, Alan. I don't think I've ever seen someone be so on top of things before. He handled the whole room essentially by himself and somehow it never seemed like there was a single hiccup the whole night. He was beyond excellent. He was such a good communicator and kept me in the loop with timelines and was overall very organized. He played a significant role in the night going as well as it did. My whole family, and most importantly my mom, had such a wonderful night. And I have Bob, Alan, and the rest of the staff to thank for that.

Our server was very pleasant and made us feel welcome right away. We went on a Sunday evening, and the back dining area was almost empty. If you're looking for a livelier vibe, the front is probably the better choice, but the back works great for something more quiet and intimate. I was craving the bolognese, but they were out that night, so we ordered the candied nut and beet salad and the pepperoni pizza with honey. Both were very good, but the salad definitely made more of a "wow" impression. Overall, we had a really pleasant time.

We stopped in mid-week for a family dinner after work and even on a Wednesday the place was buzzing. The restaurant itself is pretty tiny, which makes for a cozy atmosphere but also means tables are very close together. If you can, I'd definitely recommend making a reservation. The menu is somewhat minimal, but the food overall was good. I eat gluten-free and noticed the options were a bit limited, which made ordering slightly challenging. I ended up going with the sea scallops. They were nicely cooked, but the portion was smaller than I expected--five small scallops with some vegetables. For the price, I do wish the portion had been a bit more generous. I have to admit I left still a little hungry. My dad ordered the short rib grilled cheese and really enjoyed it. That was probably the standout dish at our table. My sister ordered the honey bourbon chicken and said it was okay, but afterward she mentioned she probably should have gone with the short rib grilled cheese instead. One surprise of the night was live music on a Wednesday. I usually enjoy live music, but since we were hoping to catch up as a family it made conversation a little difficult. The music was fairly loud for such a small space. Service was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. They also have a rewards program, which worked out nicely--my dad received a complimentary dessert for his birthday. I ordered the crème brûlée, which was a great way to end the meal. A couple practical tips: parking in Ridgewood can be tricky. The restaurant advertises valet parking, though we didn't use or see it during our visit. If you find street parking, make sure to feed the meter because the town is known for giving out tickets. In warmer months they do offer some outdoor sidewalk seating, though it looks fairly limited. It also appears they have a happy hour, though we didn't arrive in time to try it. Overall, I'd recommend checking out Steel Wheel Tavern--just be mindful of the timing of your visit, especially if you're hoping for a quieter dinner.
