Maya did my fill and did an excellent job. BUT MY PEDI... they say 30 minutes and that's what you get! I believe that Anna did it. Barely any feet soaking, the massage was a joke and my feet weren't even touched during that portion. I guess that would have put her over her time allotment. I had a deluxe pedi because I need callouses removed. She only barely touched my heels. The balls of my feet and toes weren't touched. I had to ask her to take care of the ingrown nails. The nail tech who did the flowers on my toes also was having trouble and wiped it off and retried again. It took quite a while just to paint a flower on each big toe...just for it to look like a child could have done it(no offense). Of course I allowed it and just wanted the appt to be over. This was my first time getting my nails done in 4 years and I had a really smooth time making the appointment. But when they sat me in the chair I showed the girl what I wanted, and she said she could do it. She pulls out containers labeled "soiled tools". Which was a bummer. I had a really great experience at Tau Nail Salon today! They are definitely my new go-to nail salon. I was able to make an appointment online ahead of time (very easy system) and they took me back right when I got there (about 5 minutes early). The salon was very clean. All staff members were following covid safety protocols. I got a gel pedicure and was done in 45 minutes and it turned out great! I also liked that the salon was quiet and peaceful. I went in for my birthday nails and I got exactly what I asked for, a few miss ups such as putting 1 less gem on two of the nails but I didn't even notice until afterwards so it was just a simple mistake! While on a business trip to California stopped by for a mani and pedi. I got gel on my toes and dip powder on my fingers. Picked two colors that were similar shades. My toes ended up being orange and my fingers were yellow. I was told the dip was bad and that is why they were that color. I didn't pick that shade for either service u picked a light pink. Was told they would just paint over the dip to match the toes. That was not the color I wanted. Both services looked like a child had completed them. I complained and was told to come back the next day. Unfortunately I wasn't able since I had a 6am flight. I requested a refund. Was told I'd have to speak with the owner. After a few calls I was told since they won't actually lose me as a future customer they couldn't refund my money. I would not recommend this place. My husband and I stopped by on Wednesday after I was trying to find a decent place for a pedi during covid. Though they do take walk-ins, during covid it is best to call and make an appointment. We made appointments for pedi's this morning. I was pleased with the outdoor set up of this location for several reasons: they have portable pedi tubs that they can roll to be used pretty much anywhere, the chairs were decent, and because they are performing services in front of their business there is quite a bit of room to be comfortable and out of the sun. I saw Yelp reviews of some other salons discouraging people from going there because of how uncomfortable (using office chairs, needing to balance, etc) it was. Our pedi service included the regular foot soak but with several drops of rose oil that smelled amazing, cuticle cleanup, and special attention to the bottom of our feet. I believe a callous cream was used followed by a sanding device to remove calluses. A new sanding round was placed on the tool and our toes, heels, and feet were worked over with this sanding tool. We really liked it, except my husband is super ticklish on his feet. Though the almond oil foot and leg massage was lacking, I will overlook it for the great job on the heels. The person that painted my toes seemed to really take her time and not just slap polish on. Though we were done in about 40 minutes, our services were as relaxing as they could be and did not feel rushed. Cleaning of all chairs used was observed prior to the beginning of services, the staff wore masks and gloves AND their pedicure tools were opened from their autoclave packaging right in front of us. Not only were their prices $20 cheaper than the other place, their attitudes and customer service were 100000% times better. The salon is small, but very clean and decorated very nicely. Excuse my photo skills, I forgot to take a picture inside so I took this one after the fact. I just have six words to say; OH MY GOD, BEST PEDICURE EVER. Hands down, like no lies this was the best pedicure I've ever had. Like I said I forgot to take a photo while in the chair because I was so relaxed from how amazing it was. I legit almost fell asleep in the chair. That's never happened to me. Also I have the worst calluses ever. They are hard and yucky from me always being barefoot outside and not being able to have them done in months because of salons being closed. I walked out with baby soft feet. Ummm my feet haven't been that soft since I was a baby! I do foot peels all the time but this was so much better. My only regrets were not asking my nail techs name (or the owners) and not giving myself enough time to get a manicure as well. I will definitely be back within a few days to get those done as well so expect an update. Also for those wondering, this salon did an amazing job making me feel safe with their safety measures. Each booth is sectioned off and the manicure tables have protectors in front of them as well between you and the nail tech. They even have signs letting you know that you can wait in your car until your appointment time that way you're not exposed to random people waiting to get their nails done. Each area is thoroughly cleaned after each customer before you are called to sit down. The owner and her sister are super friendly and patient. You can tell they are truly good people which is rare these days. Definitely go here for your nail needs because honestly I don't think you'll find a better salon with the quality service that you get here. read more

My first time getting a pedicure since we moved into the area. Someone on Nextdoor had recommended this place. Unfortunately the worse pedicure I've ever had. I kept telling her what I needed and she didn't do as I asked. I asked for them to be as short as possible. Her nail clippers were so dull she couldn't seem to be able to use them on my big toes. I asked her to clip the sides of all my toes but the pinky, she just used the nail file, even after I told her twice. She didn't seem to understand me. At this point I gave up and let her finish and left 100% unsatisfied! I don't get pedicures to have nicely painted toes, that's just a perk, I have to get my nails clipped so I'm it in pain with ingrown toenails. I'll ever be back! read more
