This was my first visit! Saw Dr. Fuller. He showed me the difference in my current lenses and what the new one's would look like. Wow what a huge difference! I woke up one morning with a contact in the back of my eye. The contact had dried up and cut my cornea. My vision was completely impaired and my entire eye was red & swollen shut & my eyeball was was covered in a white film - I found out later to be 3 ulcers. It was a Sunday morning so Tatum Eye Care was closed, I left a message but spent the entire day fearing that I would lose my vision for good. Luckily, first thing Monday morning I got a callback from Crystal Stewart, who was my saving grace, she was able to fit me in that morning to see Dr Felton. The Dr took good care of me with Rxs, drops and a care schedule. He also made time in his busy schedule to fit me in each day to make sure it was improving. It took weeks due to the extensive damage but my vision returned. Not to be too dramatic, but I truly feel that Crystal was my saving grace & Dr Felton my guardian angel. I can literally say I once was blind but thanks to the team at Tatum Eye Care, I can once again see!! read more

I've never written a bad review before but I am so disappointed withTtatum Eyecare. I had a new prescription for glasses that I received after seeing an Opthalmalogist elsewhere in November. My glasses came in and I couldn't see out of them. Everything was skewed diagonally. They kept trying to fix the fit, told me I should wear them and get used to them. It just was never right. I was then told the that the lenses were too thick causing me to see things skewed so they ordered what I thought was the appropriate lenses. No good. Kept coming back. Kept being told the same crap. I then went to see one of their optometrists because they said my new prescription was wrong. So I did. Liked him very much. He said the prescription was wrong and the lenses were too big for me causing things to be skewed. New appropriate glasses were chosen and I came back to be fit. This is a long story so let me end by just saying they still don't fit properly. They are uncomfortable. I don't see well with them. I could go back but I'm done. While trying to fit me one of the people there blamed the problem on my curly hair. Then she said it's a problem because you wear a mask. I told her I don't wear one at home. I'm so done. Just go someplace else. Once I'm able to I will get new glasses at a different place. read more

I called last Friday. I was able to schedule an appointment today, Wednesday, to order new lens for glasses. I needed driving glasses after cataract surgery. I was there for 20 minutes. I just picked up my new glasses from Crystal and they are great. I call them my everything glasses because they have progressive lenses and also transition from light to dark so I don't have to keep switching from regular glasses to sunglasses. My prescription is high index and includes a prism, yet you would never know it by looking at the glasses. Getting the prescription just right is not easy (thank you Dr. O'Daniel) and Crystal made sure the measurements (particularly where the progressive invisible line is) translated perfectly to my frames. **Update - I was contacted by one of the owners to find out what exactly went wrong with my visit so he could help to ensure it didn't happen again. He was very apologetic and understood if I didn't want to return. However, he was willing to accommodate my schedule and come in on his lunch if I was willing to at least give the office another chance. My second visit was the exact opposite of my previous visit. I was greeted and taken back to get my exam promptly. I was very impressed with the level of concern and service provided. I was contacted by the office "we see that you have insurance coverage for an exam and glasses that you should use before the end of the year". Being that I am your typical busy working person, I thought how convenient! They had an appointment at 3:30pm on a Monday available so I took it. On the day of my appointment, I had a VERY challenging time finding the building because it's at the entrance to a neighborhood. I was 12 minutes late and the receptionist rolls her eyes and tells me "let me see if he'll even still see you". She returns and says that the dr. won't see me but that I can wait until 4:30pm for another appointment. If you were so desperate for patients, that you were proactively calling them up and getting them in to use their insurance...I think it's pretty startling to have you turn them away so quickly. I have recommended LOTS of patients their way previously when a doctor by the name of Dr. Ho (the doctor I used to see) was still there. Unfortunately, she has left and the operation has clearly taken a turn down hill. read more

My wife and I have been going to Tatum Eyecare for as long as I can remember. They were originally Optique at Desert Ridge and that place was awesome. This place is AMAZING and you will not believe your eyes (no pun intended) when you walk in. The place is simply stunning and the staff makes you feel right at home from the second you walk in. Dr. Bryan Fuller is the best optometrist I've ever dealt with. He knows what he's doing and you walk out of there with the right script and seeing better than ever. If you want a great selections of frames, you struck gold. Monaka was fabulous at helping me get what I wanted. A great selection of really good eye frames it's hard to narrow out down to one, or two of the best pair of glasses. I opted getting 2 frames 1 frame for my everyday glasses and 1 frame for polarized lenses which are essential in Phoenix. I believe in researching projects before I spend any money. Eye glasses being one of these projects that I've been researching for quite a while before I purchased. I'm delighted to purchase my glasses here. It is a high end boutique or you can find frames at a reasonable price. The staff here is very helpful. I couldn't get in to see the doctor for an exam that day but Monica directed me to vision works, she used to work there and high regard for them. I saw the doctor there for my exam and they were kind and helpful and got me in-and-out in a new york minute. Being a new Yorker of 20 years, returning to Arizona, I am always in search of items that I could find easily in New York City and have challenges with finding in Arizona. I have been coming to Tatum Eye Care/Optical Illusions since 2000 and they have been spectacular on every single visit. A good eye doctor is hard to find, and for a few years had gladly driven 45 minutes from home to come here. The doctor willingly mailed me my contacts (at no charge) in those years, and each time I visit I leave with free contact solution. The customer service is impeccable and the doctors are kind and knowledgeable. Hands down the best eye doctor I've ever had.
