This is my first time at Tattoo Maven! The guys were really friendly and down to earth! The shop was very nice, clean, and a cool atmosphere. There's parking in the front of the shop, I'm not sure about the back of the shop. Shavon did my tattoo (it was a cover-up). He did a fantastic job (we aren't finished) and I would recommend him totally!!! I'm loving my new tattoo! Thank you!

I get my tattoos done by Brendan he is a nice dude who usually does Japanese and my brother got a leg sleeve by him and told me to just see his ideas about the tattoo I was looking for. I was kinda nervous since I know he likes focusing on Japanese color and I just wanted something girly but he was insanely nice to me and two months after I got the first one done by him I asked him to do another girly one usually not what he does but when i asked him he just said of course he can I gave him a photo of something similar but told him do whatever he wants. I got the tattoo only a few days a go but I am 100% happy with it and he will be dealing with me and my flower tattoos for as long as he can.

Beautiful tattoo shop.. so much bigger then it looks outside. Super clean and professional. Went to get my nose pierced by Greg. This is my third time getting my nose pierced so I thought it was really going to hurt because of the scar tissue, but he did such a great job, I honestly didn't even feel it. Didn't hurt at all! Thanks Greg!

There are 1000 shops on LI. Going here at your own peril. Went for a Grim Reaper tattoo. The artist messed it up and had my arm bleeding and swollen mid-way. Said I had to come back to finish it. Two weeks passes I goto my appointment and the artist is nowhere to be found. Never showed up. Another week passes I come to finish it he tells me the way it healed it can be done. So that is where the large black box on the arm comes from. To fix his mistake he made a suggestion which I went with because at that point what choice did I have with a half for Grim Reaper on my arm. Long story short there is a huge black square on my arm which he planned to draw white in. Never said he was making a perfect square it looks INSANE. I had to stop it there the damage was getting out of control. Never complained just said I am going to have it removed thanks for your time I'll come pickup the deposit and the owner refuses to give the deposit back because you "consented" to them screwing up tattoos on your arm. You have no protection here if they make mistakes. It is an atrocious place. Avoid at all costs. There are some more pics of the lovely work it's almost as if it was intentional(wasn't). My arm is ruined.

Hands down the best tattoo shop on LI. I have had a few tattoos at other places so familiar with the process, etc. Sat with Ed, the owner, to discuss my idea and he artfully crafted it into reality. Ed took the time to work up the prefect tattoo from my head to my skin, the detail is insane and realistic factor of the face is just off the charts. His ink skills are second to none. I went to the shop off a recommendation from a peer. It was the best decision i made! I went to Edwin for a tattoo correction, then a cover up of a tattoo that i just didn't love. His work is flawless and he is a true artist. Professional, extremely clean and a pleasure to talk to. I didn't feel any pain because we are busy having great conversation or a great movie on. I already have my next appointment scheduled. read more

I met Edwin way back when he was working at Lone Wolf Tattoo in Bellmore, started working on my left arm sleeve, 4 years later and a ton of work my arm was complete in 2019, im so happy I met this dude, his attention to detail and photo realism skills are WAY over the top, I highly recommend him for any and all of your ideas, hell take them and make then 100 times better. Will book him once im comfortable to start doing my back piece. read more

Just wanted to update my review I had just came in today to finish a piece we've been working on. Tattoo Maven still showing me that cleanliness and comfort vibe. Very happy with the place I have chosen. Highly suggest you stop on by and check them out. And other great news! Tattoo Maven now does body piercings! The piercer has been doing professional piercing for over 10 yrs! Its nice to see shops take the initiative and hire someone with experience. If you're looking for a piercing I'd give them a call and see when you can get on down. read more

I was here for the first time in this shop but been a customer of the owner for some time now. He's completed all the artwork on my sleeve. He's great to come to with ideas and then brings them to life. The shop is clean! Everything is opened in front of you. You definitely get your money's worth here. It's a comfortable environment to relax and gets some ink! read more

Went here once, been thinking about it ever since haha, liked literally every person there, all incredible artists, funny and good vibes. Gavin was my artist he specializes in anime and gaming content, super easy to contact and very professional, just shoot a message and they got you covered. I have my next appointment coming up soon (would be sooner if they had it lol). I'm going to ride out the rest of my work here if they don't kick me out for being eager and trying to book too many appointments at once lol. He took my ideas and made them 100% better then I could have imagined them. They are by far my favorite pieces and I can't wait to get more done by him. I came across Tattoo Maven in East Islip last night on google & Yelp and decided to give them a buzz... I called like 5 minutes before closing time and the Guy who I can't remember his name was so nice and gave me all the info I needed to be able to come in and get my earrings fixed and put back in correctly & never once rushed me off the phone.. I had a recent surgery and had to have all my earrings taken out and put back In.. I had went some other place prior (which botched me up and bent all my 13 earrings) Any how.. I finally found a Super Nice Professional piercer/tattoo artist this afternoon. Emily Jensen @ Tattoo Maven was amazing.. Not only was the store impeccably clean she was good at what she did and she fixed all my hoops for me!!! But besides that she killed my elbow piece I let her do her idea of what would look better rather than my idea of solid color she shaded it and used white ink that I'm always ask if it's real because of how great it came out. She did such good small line work and being on my elbow is great. If you're looking for a comfortable atmosphere I recommend them, they've made my tattoo experiences great.

Unfortunately, the owner of this Russian salon (who also owns Spectrum Hair Salon) was completely out of line. She falsely accused me of asking her to cancel someone else's appointment for me--which I never said. I simply asked to be notified if there were any cancellations. Anyone who knows me knows I'm respectful, so that accusation made no sense. It got worse when I went in to speak with her. I asked if she handled appointments--she said no. I asked if the owner was available--she said yes. Then she comes around and says, "I'm the owner and the one you spoke to." yeah right after I saw her whisper to two people two girls who was standing at the counter with her so it was obvious she had no interest in solving it so why should my attitude change The fact that I went there that in itself should have told her something, That alone tells you everything. Speaking calmly doesn't excuse rude behavior. The way she handled the situation was unprofessional and unacceptable.

Great shop, I have been tattooed multiple times by George. Shop is always clean and the artists are always professional. Shop always has a great vibe. As a business owner myself in a day and age where people use reviews to try and target businesses with the threat of posting a negative review to extort or satisfy their own personal vendetta while having no valid reason for doing so..I find a need to post my personal experience to contribute to a well run place. Had my first tattoo ever done by Brendan the other day, and I cannot recommend him and this shop enough! Brendan helped workshop my design, and was an absolute delight to work with during the whole process. If I get another tat, I know I'm definitely going to Brendan! Also, the shop itself is clean, professional, and sticks rigidly to COVID-19 precautions - as a family member of a survivor, this means the world to me, and made me feel that much safer going outside of my comfort zone. They really take their time when making your vision come to life and they're able to do a broad range of tattoo styles to really accommodate anyone who walks into this shop. Amazing experience. My first time getting a tattoo here and the level of comfort I felt was off the chart. The energy is uplifting and my artist was amazing.
