I decided to get a double lobe and navel piercing for my birthday and was not comfortable getting it done by a male piercer (most in my area are men) so I decided to come here. I submitted an online inquiry, booked my appointment online detailing what I was looking for and filled out a consent form. Again, my booking says lobe and navel. I get there and get greeted by Jessica with "you're here for the tongue and eyebrow piercing?" -- Whoa... nope! We eventually move to the piercing room (wildly uncomfortable plastic chairs that belong in a backyard, not a tattoo/piercing shop) and begin to mark my ears for the lobe piercings. I didn't love that the marks were so far from my existing piercings so I asked for them to be adjusted. They adjusted it, I approved. Finally they pierced them. The piercings were UNEVEN. I had to let the further one close so I could get it pierced again in the proper place. The navel piercing is fine in terms of being centered but my skin reacted poorly to the original jewelry and didn't start to look normal until I was allowed to change it out months later. Most notably I was hoping that whoever did my piercing would be at least somewhat personable but instead Jessica barely looked at me and or spoke to me outside of a regurgitated spiel about keeping the piercings clean and minimizing infection. It was delivered so quickly and monotone that it sounded like the bleak side effects portion of a medication advertisement. I wouldn't recommend coming here unless you want to be spoken at instead of to, be forced to wear the ugliest starter jewelry (that's also next to impossible to remove) or to get uneven piercings. In the end I spent $120 total tip not included with plain starter jewelry. In retrospect I think that's kind of insane read more

I went to this establishment and got a small, no color tattoo. I have been there before. I was charged $140.00 for 15 minutes of tattooing. I was in the building a total of 30 minutes. I did not ask how much when i made the appointment. If i did, i certainly would not have gotten it. I even gave a $20.00 tip. read more

Went to get a belly piercing with Jessica, for my 60th. Birthday gift to myself. Turns out my stretch marks went through the piercing area so Jessica could not pierce it. The skin was not appropriate for piercing and she kindly told me it could not be done as the piercing would fall out. She was sweet and professional. She offered to pierce another area or get a tattoo from the Artist there but my heart was set on my belly. Thank you for the professionalism above the cost. I went to get a piercing done here and Jessica was the name of the piercer. Owner was nice and so was Jessica, whole experience was mostly good. I have only one gripe with my experience here/ the people there. I signed the form for piercing and included in the form is whether or not you want to have pictures taken of you and your piercing and I put no. Despite me indicating no on the form, afterwards, Jessica asked anyways and I felt kind of pressured to allow her to take the picture even though I had indicated on the form I signed that I did not want pictures taken. Aside from this the piercing was fine and my experience was good. It would have been a better experience if I hadn't been made to feel somewhat pressured to have pictures taken despite me clearly indicating that I did not want to. read more

I got my belly button pierced at Body Designs a little over six months ago and I am extremely happy. It is very clean in there and all the jewelry they pierce with is sanitized and cleaned as well and the site of the piercing before hand. Jessica pierced me and was so welcoming and made me feel so comfortable despite me being very nervous. It came out great. I just went back to get the jewelry changed from the ring to a bar and she had such a great selection. She also measured the piercing the get the exact length. I was looking for a small, shiny, and simple piece and she had just what i was looking for. Talked me through how to change it so I can do it on my own now. I recently got my Monroe pierced here. After the first day of it being pierced I experienced swelling which I knew was normal but after a day the swelling got a lot worse and that was when I got really nervous. The bar was too small in my lip and my lip was starting to close over the piercing. I was sending pictures of my face to other tattoo places to get their opinion on what was happening and they said the bar was too small and that I must take it out immediately because it looked extremely irritated, they had also said that the piercer must of not measured my lip properly and didn't think about the piercing size they were putting in to compensate with the swelling. After the second day of me having it, he swelling already had gotten so bad I had to go to the emergency room to get it removed from my lip. read more

I had a nostril piercing done at Body Designs a few weeks ago. My consultation was handled by Tara, my piercing was done by Mike (the owner). I'm an almost 45 year old mom of six, so this is not a "cool kid" review but a " worry about cleanliness, nervous about atmosphere, will they laugh me out of here, and please, God, don't let my nose fall off" review. The shop is attractive, neat, well lit and organized. I visited the shop and consulted with Tara. She was very knowledgeable and informative. She brought up points about placement that had not been mentioned to me at consults at other shops. I also discussed my concerns about metal sensitivities and she was attentive to my issues. At no time did I feel hurried or pressured to do the piercing that day. I left on a positive note and went home to think some more. I returned the next day, was greeted by Tara in a friendly fashion and proceeded to go forward with the piercing. It was done by Mike, who shared with me that he had (I hope I get this right) over 30 year experience in piercing. The room we were in was private, attractive and also very clean. Mike was very reassuring as I was a bit nervous and the piercing went very smoothly. He walked me out the front desk, supplied me with thorough aftercare instructions, we chatted a bit and I was on my way, feeling 10 years younger :) I've had no problems with the piercing and hope to go back and do something else soon. Tara is an incredible tattoo artist and I mean artist. I will never have anyone else do my tats. Her style is unique and beautiful. Some of the best portrait work done an various family members has received so many complements from strangers it is unbelievable. The work she has done on me blows people away when they see them. Jessica is EVERYTHING. Just got my septum and needless to say I sat down and was ready to get up and run. Aside from the fact that she wouldn't let me, she spoke to me through the whole process. Told me what would hurt most and what would just be uncomfortable. She made the whole process completely amazing. And she just did a double tragus on my friend and it looks fantastic. I went to this shop to get my nipples pierced back on May 20th, 2014. I choose this shop for a few reasons. Location was one, it was close to where I was working at the time. The ease and information on the shop's website was a big thing. Also, I called and talked to Mike. He discussed how he has been doing piercings for over 30 years and has never had many complaints. Also He's the only shop that had multiple 5 star reviews. When my boyfriend and I went into the shop I was impressed with how clean it was. I don't think I've ever seen a shop as clean as Mike's shop was. Not only that but he walked me through the piercings step by step and answered every little silly question I had without any issues. He helped ease my nerves with his professionalism. I have always been so worried about nipple piercings not being even and centered properly and in that since I'm very OCD about it. Mike did my nipples and they are dead on centered. He went over after care with me and even when a bead came off of one of my rings the next day he fixed it with no charge to me. He also will change your jewelry for free after the 3 month healing time as long as you buy his jewelry. I would go back to him for any future piercings and/or tattoos. While his price is a little higher I feel that his services and expertise is very worth the price. read more

My husband and I went in today and met Jessica to ask about piercings and to see if I would want to get it done there . We came in unannounced and I was able to get my questions answered and decided to have my nipples pierced ( I would say there is no private place to ask your questions if anyone is waiting . Wow!!! Glad to find them on here! I had all my work done when they were in their Bayshore location. My 1st tattoo in June 1994. It's been 21 years it's starting now to look like it needs to be filled in a bit. When I remembered I tried 2 put sunscreen on & all those tips. Added a small piece 2 it 1996. Then my tongue pierced probably 1997 -2001. Was able 2 actually have surgery have it out approximately 5 - 6 hours in 1998 it didn't close. They put it back in in my hospital room thanks dad! Then on daily basis through 2000- 2001for my "career" & interviews excetra. I was able to take it out 48 - 10 hour days was fine. Once I got my permanent job offer 4 September 2001 which was offered to me July 2001 I decided to let it close up it was a new chapter in my life. There's not a huge big scar or scab. Then in July 2005 I went back for another tattoo & time my mother came w/ me to get her 1st. Michael the owner tattooed her & I can't remember who I had not to impressionable but I had to Japanese / Chinese characteristics in a place that would not be seen on a daily basis so how bad could anyone really screw that up. It came out fine my mother's looked fabulous lots of color detail! any work I had since then was due to not living near there and having friends who recommended a different tattoo parlor getting to know one of the owners and getting really good prices. Now I'm out of state but if I go back to visit since I'm going to be getting more work done I would definitely go there and I'm glad to see that they're still around just in a different location in town. read more

I give this place 0 stars, I went her to get my noise pierced and it was a disaster! So the guy who supposedly has been doing this 30 years couldn't pierce my nose! He had to do it twice and STILL coudnt get the jewelry in!! The next day I went to another place highly recommended, they were polite, clean, professional, and talked me through it. Didn't hurt get one bit! I couldn't belieber this guy had been doing this for 30 years and couldn't even do my nose right, I was shocked and left in pain. He has NOOO idea what he is doing.
