I had a vision of what I wanted done as a tribute to my sons and from my initial inquiry through the finishing touches they helped me bring it to life. Communication was spectacular every step of the way - I shared an overview of what I was looking for through those first texts which paved the way for a terrific consultation where Jesse took the time to go over everything, let me know what he needed from me, and provided some great resources for picking out the right font, even providing helpful pointers for what to look for in different fonts so that it would continue to look great for years to come. On arrival day of Jesse already had a mockup ready to go and was more than accommodating with some minor changes I wanted done. I can't say the process was painless for obvious reasons but it was as smooth as one could ever hope for. The work was clean, the price was extremely fair, and I left with a piece I'm super happy with that has already received a bunch of compliments even though it's still in the healing phase. South Shore has my highest recommendation and has definitely won a repeat customer with me. Can't wait to do it again.

The tattoos shop itself reminds me of someone's comfy living room with a tattoo shop inside. I'm also able to bring my son with me which is a plus especially because the appointments I have are during a time where I'm not sure if I could get anyone to watch him. For this recent visit Marc tattooed an open book on my arm. This is the second tattoo that's on my arm sleeve, I already had a black rose with a red ribbon on it from years ago. Marc is amazing, we have a good tattoo artist/tattooey vibe going on and he seems to be able to figure out what I'd like before I've completely figured it out. I'm not sure if he does that for all his clients but I can say that for myself. So I'm definitely impressed with East End Tattoo and if you're going to get an appointment here definitely book with Marc if you can. I decided to get a double lobe and navel piercing for my birthday and was not comfortable getting…read moreit done by a male piercer (most in my area are men) so I decided to come here. I submitted an online inquiry, booked my appointment online detailing what I was looking for and filled out a consent form. Again, my booking says lobe and navel. I get there and get greeted by Jessica with "you're here for the tongue and eyebrow piercing?" -- Whoa... nope! We eventually move to the piercing room (wildly uncomfortable plastic chairs that belong in a backyard, not a tattoo/piercing shop) and begin to mark my ears for the lobe piercings. I didn't love that the marks were so far from my existing piercings so I asked for them to be adjusted. They adjusted it, I approved. Finally they pierced them. The piercings were UNEVEN. I had to let the further one close so I could get it pierced again in the proper place. The navel piercing is fine in terms of being centered but my skin reacted poorly to the original jewelry and didn't start to look normal until I was allowed to change it out months later. Most notably I was hoping that whoever did my piercing would be at least somewhat personable but instead Jessica barely looked at me and or spoke to me outside of a regurgitated spiel about keeping the piercings clean and minimizing infection. It was delivered so quickly and monotone that it sounded like the bleak side effects portion of a medication advertisement. I wouldn't recommend coming here unless you want to be spoken at instead of to, be forced to wear the ugliest starter jewelry (that's also next to impossible to remove) or to get uneven piercings. In the end I spent $120 total tip not included with plain starter jewelry. In retrospect I think that's kind of insane

My brother went in for a simple ear piercing, and somehow, they managed to ruin it completely. The placement was off, the earring was way too short for his thick lobes (duh), and we ended up with an infection. But hey, he gave them a second chance... BIG mistake! They somehow made it worse the second time around. I can't even make this up--how do you screw up a piercing twice?! Now my brother's stuck with a mess I'm personally taking out myself because clearly, they couldn't get it right. Golden 7, do yourself a favor and just close up shop. If you don't want to deal with an infection or a botched piercing, avoid this place like the plague. Save your money, your time, and most importantly, your lobes.

came into work realizing i was having a piercing emergency.. a rather sensitive piercing had fallen…read moreout and was at risk of closing up. not being familiar with the local spots, i called around town and house of color stood out right away. the front desk folks were super friendly, understanding, and open to a walk-in. i stopped by in person about an hour later, and they took the time to really listen to my concerns and what i needed. dean, one of the piercers, helped me out.. incredibly accommodating and easy to talk to. though i haven't had my original piercing or any tattoos done here, i'd definitely consider it based on this experience alone.

At first we had a good experience bringing our 6 year old daughter in for her first ear piercing. A…read morelittle over a month later, just outside their 30 day window, one of her earrings fell out. We realized this when she woke up the next morning, but the hole had closed overnight. We still had the earring. We brought her in the next day to get her ear pierced again. Long story short, they charged us the for one ear piercing and made us buy a new set of earrings. They said it was unsanitary to use the original one. I feel the earrings they provide should have screw on backs or be of better quality that they don't come off. Kids are rough and sometimes not careful. A 30 day window is kind of ridiculous. All in all, I was just very disappointed with being charged again when I feel they should stand by their product and service.

She helped set me up with an appointment and the necessary paperwork and set me up right away. My piercer was fantastic. Professional, an expert, and again, patient. She walked me through the entire process, heard my thoughts on placement and was knowledgable on placement and healing. She made sure my placement was in alignment with my ear shape and when it came time to do my conch piercing, it was painless. Piercer was very nice but the jewelry he used was way too short to account for the swelling. Wasn't able to go back to change out the bar bc I tested for Covid this am and had to remove it myself. Also, their sterilization pouches weren't appropriately sealed so while the clamps and hemostat hadn't been touched until opened, they weren't technically sterile. Shoulda said something but it's too late now. Waste of $$ on the piercing.
