The staff may step out in the midst of your massage to cater to the front desk or answer their phone quietly while massaging you. I'm someone who tends to look for the 5-star spots with all the aesthetics and lavish services. I'm not high maintenance, but I do enjoy good quality things. However, it seems all these poor reviews personally seem to come from a place of impatience and intolerance to be honest. The staff is very friendly, accommodating, and they really listen when you mention certain pains in your body. The rooms are clean, the music is peaceful, and they use hot towels, hot rocks, and organic coconut oil instead of fancy perfumed body oils (which I personally prefer being that I'm currently pregnant and I use coconut oil at home as a moisturizer.) I simply call ahead to make an appointment and also check in with the front desk when I'm on my way and I've never been turned away. Holly has been doing my prenatal massages and she's AMAZING! She really seems to care in the way she massages me. She takes her time and I really get the most out of my 1 hour. I have been very close to drifting off in sweet sleep when she works on me and it's really what my pregnant body needs. My boyfriend, who's 6 ft and 200+ lbs of muscle, also gets a thorough rejuvenating massage from Spalax every time. In fact, he's the one that convinced me that this place is worth a try! And for the price of their services, you really shouldn't be that mad. I can't say this is a fancy day spa but the quality comes from their massage technique - not some high class environment with masseuses who may not massage you as good. You pay half the price as you would at other highly rated places, yet this place is probably just as clean. So overall, if you get the stick out of your ass - you'll probably enjoy the quality and service here if you just really need a good refreshing massage.
