I've never wrote a review in my entire life but I decided to sign up for yelp just so I can leave a 5 star review for this place. I had this horrible experience with permanent makeup for eyebrows back in 2004. It didn't look natural and it looked so fake so I had to cover it with my bangs most of the time. And then one of my friends told me about her great experience with Skin Garden where she got her eyeline and lip permanent make up done. As soon as I witnessed how natural it looked, I called the salon right away and made an appointment for a consultation and rework on my eyebrows. The distant didn't really matter because I had no problem going to Long Island from NYC as long as someone could do something about my eyebrows. If it's going to be something permanent on your face, nothing really matters except for the skillset of the technician! The place was so cozy and comfortable and Cathy, who did my eyebrows was so thorough on explaining and showing me how it would look when it's done. During the procedure, she was really gentle and I have to say that I was really impressed by how she draws each line to create more natural hair look instead of trying to filling in the empty spot. The whole procedure took about an hour and half and I loved the result!!! I don't need to cover my eyebrows anymore. I'm so thanksful that I found her. Thank you Cathy. I feel compelled to write this review after reading some of these reviews so here it is: I Love, Love, Love Skin Garden. Kathy is not only talented in her work of threading, facials , waxing & permanent make-up Kathy is also a caring & understanding person. If something is not right she will fix it until you are happy. I myself had my eyebrows permanently done, it takes 3 visits because you don't want to look like groucho marks...and by going on a regular basis she can keep an eye on progress. You cant rush a master piece ladies. Stay calm, Kathy will fix it for you. Kathy does a beautiful job in everything she does some people want things for free, they feel entitled. I have been going for 10 years now my daughters and their friends go to Kathy for all their needs. Im happy, don't listen to one bad review, your better than that. read more

My daughter and I have been going to skin garden for a few years now and have gotten to know the owner, Cathy. She is a kind and caring person and from the moment you walk through the door you feel extremely comfortable. She schedules her appointments so that there is minimal or no wait time. My teenage daughter faithfully has her eyebrows done and has recommended several of her girlfriends. They all have such beautiful eyebrows! I myself have had my eyebrows tattooed by Cathy and have never been happier. Her technique is so amazing and so "real" looking. No one would ever know they are tattooed! And then there are the facials. I have had plenty of facials over the years and NONE compares to a facial by Cathy! Needless to say, I highly recommend Cathy of skin garden for all your beauty needs. My husband and I booked a Hot Stone massage and a Jade Bed massage for each of us this Saturday morning. We are regular spa goers and like trying new spots. This one was a heavenly treat! Venus made us FLOAT out of there and 7 hours later we still feel so soothed! It is a small boutique spa and one needs to call for an appt, but once there they are gracious, caring and do a wonderful job. Well worth a try. We will absolutely go back again! read more

after being use to threading my eyebrows in NYC i was on a hunt to find a place close to home and my prayers have been answer. this place is my appointment only which is great. no waiting and no rushing you out the door because of other customers. they take there time with you and make sure you are happy. its also a peaceful relaxing place. take it from an extremely picky person this is worth it. the price is also reasonable. read more

I have been getting my eyebrows threaded here for a few years now. I have been to many different people to have my eyebrows done and hands down Kathy is the best. She takes her time and is very precise. The price is extremely reasonable considering the quality of the service. I highly recommend going there. There are other spa services available too. The best spa in Long Island! My acne problems are all gone after given a LED photo rejuvenation. I know they are famous for their permanent make-up for eyebrows which they use 'hair stroke technique' to create a real natural looking hair. I'm going back next week for this! read more

Went today for the first time,even though I have gone to other places in the past... But this has been LOVE at first threading love it will never go nowhere else. Very clean, its a one on one service, will go back to get other treatments for my skin. Price its very good. read more
