Two of my friends and I came in for a total of 6 piercings I got two snake bites My friend got an eyebrow piercing And the other got two angel bites and a vertical labret Since having my piercings done, I removed them the next day because I hated them so much Both of them were directly in the middle of my lip pretty much perfectly lined up with my two front teeth. That's how close together they were. And they were uneven one was placed directly on my lip line and one was below, so the jewelry didn't set evenly The friend who got the two angel bites and the Labret One of the angel bites was uneven as well and the vertical Labree was placed so high you can't see it when her lips are closed I understand that I could have changed the placement of the dots But in all honesty, I trusted the professional to place them I wasted my money and now I have to get them redone I wasn't planning on saying anything until I realized that I never received my ID back from them So I called and sure enough they had mine and my friends ID I would understand and take responsibility. Had it just been mine and maybe I forgot. But two ? That means they neglected to return them to us. And made no effort to contact us to return them I'm very upset with my experience read more

Went in right as they were closing for a small quick tattoo. The artist who did my tattoo was nice but cannot blend or do thick lines. If you're looking cheap unblended work this place is for you. I shared the photo of what I wanted vs what I got. Notice the thinner line work, the non blending, the mouth is thicker on one side, the color itself is spotty the eyelash even looks off. I will be going into a different shop once it's healed to get it relined and the color fixed. This tattoo cost $150 Typically I do not write reviews, however I went in with my boyfriend and he impulsively paid for a tattoo he would receive the next day by Betty herself. He prepaid $700 (this included mine) once he received the drawing which is also in the photos and its more like Jafars lantern than a gothic vintage vibe we decided to not go with this shop. They are now REFUSING to give back his $500. (700-$150 my tattoo and $50 for his deposit/sketch) We are being RIPPED OFF for $500. And will be taking them to small claims court. I've been looking at shops, asked several people, and was pointed in this direction. From their website, Facebook, and IG, they seem like a happy family shop. Then I look at their portfolios, majority of them state they have several years under their belt, yet their work says otherwise; their work, each and every one of them look like scratch artists. Not a single shop I know would allow their apprentices to tattoo like this. I avoided my heartache, you all should do the same. Run if you can. Unless you want blow outs, shaky lines, disportionate lettering and quotes, lopsided tribal, or temu anime drawings you can get from a child... Just save your money, go to a shop that knows what they are doing!! read more

I swung by on a Friday afternoon, shared my ideas with Betty. Betty was very accommodating, really friendly. She asked for a small fee up front, which is customary. Betty said that she would text me some ideas over the weekend. I loved her ideas, I made an appointment to have the work done. My date came and it went well. The shop was clean as was Betty's station. I was comfortable with proceeding. I really liked how they came out. I will be back to see Betty for more work. read more

Betty contacted me and pointed out I hadn't given the time between photos. The second photo is two months after. I have 16 other tattoos and most of them have been recent that did not experience this effect. She argued that it was my 'mature' 53 year old skin and the knee area as well as my ignorance. I have another under and on the knee I got a couple months after that looks great and has none of the issue this one has. It's color it great. I also didn't mention how old and faded it looks since it was laid so deep under the skin. It looks like 15 year old tattoos that I have as far as color quality only 3 months later. The line work was bad from the start with lots of overlaps at all the leaf points. I have never had a more dirty tattoo where so much ink came off still in the third day after. read more

Great customer service from the moment you walk in this shop. We were lucky enough to get Jordan. He handled the consultation process very thoroughly, broke down every detail and made sure it was exactly what we wanted. My husband and I both got tattoos and he was fairly fast considering how much care he took. We had a great experience, I highly recommended this place and we will be back. read more

If ZERO STARS was an option, Betty earned it. I highly suggest you find another tattoo artist/shop to do business with. So much unprofessionalism and clearly an outdated style. Not only did she not remember what she was supposed to draw out for us- she forgot our birth months, etc. even though she wrote it all down. After we chatted about styles I was interested in (just gave her ideas, which is typical and she welcomed), all seemed well, but then she acted like the design I chose that she presented to me was miraculously more detailed and had to be larger than what I told her I wanted. I don't see why she would change the size option knowing what I asked for. Then after all of this, the price she quoted for me went WAY up. I was very specific to the size I wanted, so designing a piece that's larger seems odd and shows poor communication on her part. When I questioned her on all of the discrepancies, she asked us to go somewhere else. No clarification or customer satisfaction on her end. She seemed rude and unprofessional in the shop when talking to her husband too. Should've taken a hint. Definitely an odd experience! Why not just communicate better with a potential client who PAID for a sketch. She kept our deposit too! Scammy lady. All could've been ok. Betty definitely needs to shape up that temper or retire since there's plenty of tattoo shops to choose from with much better talent and THEY COMMUNICATE MUCH BETTER! You've been warned. read more

Saw this tattoo shop driving by. I was already itching for a tattoo but wasn't sure where I wanted to start my sleeve so I gave this shop a try and made an appointment. Consultation was easy and everyone inside was super nice. I got my half sleeve done by the owner, Betty. She is very talented and very friendly. I could not be happier with my piece. I recommend this place 110%. She did a great job. read more

This was THE BEST experience I have ever had at a Tattoo shop. My best friend and I came in on a whim to get our nostrils pierced. We immediately felt comfortable because the place is CLEAN! The lady and her son who helped us were so friendly, we were exchanging stories and laughing our butts off before we even got our service done. The young man did out piercings and they are perfect! He placed them just right, it wasn't too painful and he did such a great job of breaking down and sanitizing between us that I felt reassured we picked the right place to go! He meticulously and in detail explained how to care for our new piercings and even gave written directions! Thank you so much for an awesome experience!!!! read more

We really like Betty's and her work, we would give this place 5 stars, however the new guy who did tattoos for me and the person i went with was total shit. We were walk ins, which the website said was okay and Betty confirmed, and the guy who did our tattoos seemed pretty irritated and said that he had shit to do when we were trying to find out exactly what designs we wanted. When he started, he just placed my tattoo and wouldn't let me change it because his placing was "the best". Then he seemed to be rushing to finish our work and when we made a comment about how it seemed a little messy and his response was "yeah just trying to finish it fast but i'll fix it up". He kept adding random things to our tattoos without asking or mentioning it, and we feel like he highly overpriced our small tattoos. The tattoos looked good when they were done, but now a little less than 24 hours later we see that the shading sucks and the lines are super crooked when they should be straight, and my cute petite tattoo came out super bulky. The lines don't connect and are already fading on the edges as well as the color that he added. We're super disappointed in this work and if we can't get Betty to fix it up once it's healed, we're going to go elsewhere. Im not sure who the new guy was, maybe "Matthew" but I'm only guessing because the corner he was sitting in was labeled by that name. Once Again,Betty and her work, as well as her son Jordan, are good but the new guy with the blond hair just didn't satisfy our preferences which totally sucks because these are going to be on our bodies forever. read more

This place is amazing!! I went in as a walk-in with my two siblings. They were super busy but they made the time to fit us all in. My sister got two piercings and my brother and I each got a tattoo. The customer service is superb and the artists were super nice and down to earth. Kind, professional people, family-run. I would definitely recommend this place! I can't speak highly enough about these artists! read more

I had called before to make sure I could do a walk in simple 3 word tattoo in a delicate simple script, the guy on the phone (bishop) whoever....said it would be fine and to come on in. I go in, I'm greeted by the guy I had talked to and find out he has already been drawing it up in a different font than I had described. When I asked him about the font I wanted he sounded EXTREMELY butthurt and immediately said "Oh you don't like that?!" Referring to what he had drawn up. I showed him the font I wanted and still in a rude tone said "I guess we can do something like that". For sure weird vibe. Was told they only do cash, and never went back. read more

I keep giving this shop a chance because it's local and the people are extremely nice, but it's just not quality. I've had bad experience after bad experience ranging from a botch piercing to buying a $25 dollar nose ring that they claimed was surgical steel but ended up being low quality metal that oxidized like silver and caused an infection in a mature piercing. I've had over ten piercings that have all been successful aside from the one I got here, it's definitely not my care routine. I also have tattoos all over from some wonderful shops in the city, but I thought if giving tattoo bettys a chance. After the multiple lame experiences with my piercings, Im glad I didn't. read more

By far the best Tattoo shop in the area, better than most shops in the Lodi, Stockton and Sacramento areas. I should now I have worked in tattoo shops as a shop manager and as an aprentice tattoo artist, due to nerve damage I can no longer do this . The shop is clean, sterile and inviting. The staff which are all family is awesome and they have a pool table to kill the time while you wait on friends or your turn at the needdle. Very professional, Betty does awesome custom work, but can easily and quickly put out a peice of flash work if that is what you want. They offer exoctic piercings also and have a wide array of merchandise from jewelry to t-shirts. If I could give 10 stars I would. If your ever in eastern Pennsylvania, their first shop is located thete. So if you want the best one of a kind ink around, go see Betty, you will not regret it, I have more than 20 tattoos and have found my tattoo home at TATTOO BETTY'S. read more
